We were very satisfied by the service the employees provided to us. It was really cordial. More over the location of the property was convenient. We are very great full to all the employees who served us in all18 days stay. Not to mention the cleanliness and convenience of the room.

Before I reached had requested the hotel to arrange pick up. Which they immediately did and replied. My partner was arriving from a different location and different time, and I requested another pick up. They asked me all sorts of questions if we are going to share the room while the room was booked for two, whether we are the same gender or no, I had to exchange several emails with until the pick up was arranged. The sofa and the pillows in the living room were dirty it needs cleaning, There was no hairdryer and after I requested for one they brought it after two hours. One day before check out I received a breakdown of expenses requesting me to settle the bill as soon as possible as if I was going to escape. Then I received a call from the lobby asking how my stay, then I expressed my disappointment. They immediately arrived to my room asking how they can help to correct things. They apologized and they said that they will improve. Our room was junior suite 508.

House keeping needs improvement. There was an evening I didn’t have a single towel I had to call reception. Dusting is not done consistently I could see that house keeper just made the bed. Secondly, it was evident that the toilet and the shower were not being cleaned. The shower wasn’t warm enough and very low pressure

it was a good stay. though my work place was not walking distance. and the roads have issues of crowdedness and safety. electricity in the town was not always available. the hotel had generator but the kitchen/ hot plate was not run by generators.

I was in Addis with my Family for Pleasure. The staff was very accommodating. The hotel fit and finish feels cheap. location was very good. there is a lot of construction around the hotel. and a lot noise around the hotel. if you are late sleeper you will have a hard time sleeping.

Convenient and fairly priced.
Stayed at hotel twice in two months and enjoyed it better the second time. My only regret was not taking advantage of the spa services available. Staff was great from the time you arrive, through security, front desk, and room service. Restaurant staff is very friendly, but sometimes needed a little nudge on the service, but overall the food was good and the staff accommodating.

Not using their potential - bad food
The hotel overall is very okay to even good. However, you se first signs that they start not to take carte very much. The kitchen we had was not properly cleaned and all items very full of crumbs or the microwave was full of stinky liquid and so it is starts make not sense to use this place, if other peoples remaining are still available. But maybe there was a fast turnover? Who knows. What was disappointing that the food in the restaurant ( incl. Breakfast) was really low quality and they are not able to apply simple good cooking. Nowadays here are so many things on the market, who are just deficiencies and just a minimum of training has to be invested in cooking to create simple eatable dishes. I really do not understand such service. Bread can be baken simple and deliciously every morning instead your getting dry , un-tasty varieties of bread , over-suggared cakes etc. I think food around the other packages is very important and makes a stay a good or bad memory. No real children channels on TV. and many many other things we could list.

Wonderful staff, convenient extended stay option
Marriott in Addis is a very comfortable place for extended stays or after you have already tried some of the other hotels. It is now my hotel of choice in Addis, mostly because the rooms are so comfortable, the staff is wonderful, and the kitchen means you can get some real variety in your food.

Good hotel, needs maintenance
I had a comfortable stay. The hotel service is very good and staff is polite. The Internet service is good. The hotel itself is new and well designed except that the suites are almost soundproof. I got locked in the bathroom as the door handle was loose. No one could hear me banging on the door with the metal handle for 4 hours. There was no phone in the bathroom so I could not call anyone. The next day one of my colleagues got stuck in her hotel room as the front door got locked. However, she was able to use the room phone and call reception to cone unlock her.

Good Business Hotel
The room were well-appointed, full suites with bedroom, living room kitchen and bath. Everything worked well and efficiently. The restaurant was minimal and neither attractive nor offering much choice. The front desk and other staff were very helpful. The hotel was very kind and let us store our luggage while travelling to other parts of the country.

Superb hotel in Addis
Absolutely recommend this wonderful hotel. The suites are enormous and spacious -- I was able to comfortably entertain a group of 8 friends in my living room! The staff are some of the most helpful and friendly that I have ever met.

A terrible hotel for its price
The hotel shuttle picked my friends and I up from the airport. For each of us, they wrote a separate welcome card. The driver expected a large tips. At the front desk, the woman replied to all my questions with "yes, sure!". So when I asked if breakfast is included she also says "Yes, Sure!". When I asked if my stay can be credited to my Marriott Reward Card, they say "Yes, Sure!". When I asked if they can help me to locate my Reward card number, they say "Yes, Sure!". Later I found out nothing they say "Yes" were actually done or true. The room dirty, the shelf is carpeted with thick dust, the floor at the entrance is mushy. The paper at the bottom of the water glass on the dinner table is thin and slippery. When the glass fall and broke, the cleaning lady just pick up the large pieces for me and put them all on the table, then left. I called them back to take away the pieces. The room next to the railway is noisy in the evening, even though I requested for the highest floor. The window once opened, is really hard to close. Through out the day and night, the electricity went off and on several times. The Wi-Fi is occasionally good, but not stable and not assessable in the bedroom. The shower water is suddenly hot and cold.

Best in Addis
As a frequent business traveler this is by far one of the best hotels Ive stayed at. Staff are soooo attentive and make your stay very pleasant. They go out of their way to ensure your needs are taken care of. The fromt desk staff Haymonet is outstanding! She made my stay so memorable that I will have to come back to this hotel soon!

Molto deludente
Vado spesso ad Addis per lavoro e ho girato un po' tutti gli hotel più belli in loco. Questa volta ho voluto provare il Marriott che ha appena aperto. L'albergo è posizionato proprio a ridosso della ferrovia soprelevata e di una strada molto trafficata e il rumore si sente in camera. La hall non è molto grande ma è ben arredata. Di fianco alla reception si accede alla piscina e alla palestra. In una settimana non ho mai visto nessuno in piscina. Non so se non fosse agibile. DI certo non c'era il servizio bar nei tavoli attorno alla piscina. La palestra è ben attrezzata. Al primo piano è presente un piccolo ristorante (che funge anche da sala per colazione) e un bar subito adiacente. La colazione è ottima e varia. Il ristorante invece non è adeguato al livello che vorrebbe avere l'hotel: poca, pochissima scelta. La camera è molto ampia. Divisa in due zone (giorno/notte). Le finiture però non sono adeguate e, nonostante sia tutto nuovo, ci sono già dei problemi. Il wc si è bloccato, l'acqua calda in certi momenti non c'era, dalla doccia fuoriusciva l'acqua allagando tutto il bagno. Ma veniamo al problema più grosso: il personale. Un sera ho ordinato la cena in camera, finito di mangiare ho messo il piatto fuori dalla porta. Nessuno è passato a ritirarlo fino alla sera seguente (24 ore dopo!!!) nonostante i miei solleciti. Ogni volta che chiedevo qualcosa alla reception dovevo sempre farlo 2 volte, alla prima non venivo ascoltato. Inaccettabile. Non tornerò di sicuro.
