Nice apartment - Shame about the building works
First of all this apartment is very nice, spacious and very well equipped. It has almost everything that you could possibly need for your stay. We have no complaints about they way that the apartment was presented to us and our thanks go to the host (Rosa) for that. However, there are currently new build apartments under construction very close by and work starts daily (excluding Sundays) at 8.00 AM and continues right through the day until 7.00PM. At it's closest point, it is only around 20 metres from the balcony of this apartment. It only really affected us first thing in the morning and last thing at night as we are beach lovers and didn't spend time at the apartment or at the pool. But if you do like chilling out at the pool, now is not the time as it's very noisy between the crane lifting things onto the building and the workmen using power tools. That said, the view from this apartment may actually be better than it was, once the new apartment block has been completed, as I think it was previously a view over waste ground where the local parked their cars. We have been visiting Alvor for more than 25 years and we have seen great change over that time.....sadly it is no longer the quaint fishing village that it once was. Alvor village is only a short 3-4 minute walk away and you are really spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants and bars. A good sized supermarket is also situated 1-2 minutes walk away. Would I stay here again? Of course I would, it's Alvor.

Nice Location
We had a lovely stay at a modern building with great pool, short way to the city center, beach, supermarket and highway. We had a kind care and a very comfortable stay with our kids.

Terrific two bedroom apartmenton.
A simple booking process and contact from the owner enabled a smooth arrival. The apartment is extremely well equipped and fitted out to a high and comfortable standard. It is situated close to amenities and is quiet and peaceful with balconies to the front and rear. A car is not necessary but the apartment block has underground parking for a vehicle. Overall this is a terrific apartment.

Excellent spacious and well managed apartment
We have just returned from our 2 week stay and really enjoyed the spacious apartment. We have stayed in other apartments in Solrio but not this one owned by Rosa. Rosa was excellent at communicating at the time of booking and in advance of the holiday. We were also met on arrival and shown the apartment. The apartment is close to Alvor but in a quiet area and only 5 minutes from the restaurants and shops. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and a larger balcony area at the front than some of the other properties, including a dining room. There are excellent views at the back overlooking the pool and river. I I would highly recommend staying in this apartment and we will definitely book again when returning to Alvor. I have already recommended to friends and family.

Large apartment good location
The apartment is in a small complex with well maintained grounds it has a large balcony in front which got the morning and early afternoon sun and smaller one overlooking the pool late afternoon and sunset. It is in a great location close to Supermarket and short walk to town with its many restaurants and bars and about 20 minute walk to the beach and boardwalk. The apartment itself was well kept and spacious, the kitchen had all that you could need (we ate out most evenings) for your stay, good seating area with TV. Apartment had security access codes and lift to the apartment and secure underground parking. A few minor issues, there were no beach/pool towels (so we bought some) . Only one apartment key, which was okay for us as we usually went out as a family but if some decided to stay out late it would be a problem. There was no information pack about the area (or appliances eg TV remotes) with activities and other details such as supermarkets, Doctors or Dentists, pharmacies etc . As we had stayed in Alvor before this didn’t affect us but would help first time visitors. Overall the apartment was great and communication with Rosa, Fatima and her daughter was smooth. Would stay again if going with the family.

Lovely apartment in great area of town
We've stayed in Alvor 5 times now in different locations and we love the Solrio apartments. They are modern, clean and well serviced. The apartment has all toy need for your stay and is immaculate. We stayed over Easter and the pool was a little chilly as it's not heated but this is to be expected at this time of year! If we go again in Summer I know it would be perfect temperature. We recommend the Confeteria D'Alvor just along the road for a delicious breakfast.

Perfect!
We loved our stay in Rosa’s apartment, clean, comfortable, excellent location for us to walk into town or the estuary trails. Kitchen has everything you would need though we needed help with understanding the European appliances! We would stay again if available…

Sehr schöne Wohnung in der wir 4 Wochen im Mai verbracht haben. Ausgezeichnete Lage (nähe zum Supermarkt, den Restaurants) und doch sehr ruhig. Zwei grosse Terrassen ausgestattet mit Liegestühlen und komfortablen Sitzecken sind weitere Pluspunkte dieser Wohnung, die sich in einem modernen Gebäude umgeben von einer schönen Gartenanlage mit Pool befindet. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin hat super geklappt und wir haben bereits für das nächste Jahr wiederum gebucht.

Riesige Wohnung mit toller Lage in Alvor
Super Wohnung in modernem Baustil. Lage ist vor allem für Spaziergänger zu empfehlen. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit beim Pingo Doce(Supermarkt) oder in der Innenstadt. Zum Strand sind es etwa 1500m, welche fussläufig durch die Stadt gut zu erreichen sind. Das Objekt war sehr ruhig und gepflegt. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist zur Selbstversorgung bestens ausgestattet. Mein Aufenthalt betrug 4 Wochen,.. welche im Handumdrehen vorbei waren. Ausflüge nach Lagos, Sagres, Praia da Rocha und nicht zuletzt schöne Wanderungen entlang der Küste machen den Aufenthalt hier unvergesslich.

Excellent location
Lovely large apartment in beautiful grounds, however, just a few criticisms - there's no English channel on the TV so couldn't keep up with the news. Cleanliness a disappointment - large cobwebs around windows in dining room. Nothing to clean bath or sink with. Bedside lamp had holes in the shade. Only 2 bath towels were set out for 4 people, so had to hunt round for 2 more, no spare ones for when we washed them. Incidentally, the dark blue towel leaves you covered in blue fluff. Some egg cups would be useful for us British who love our boiled eggs for breakfast. We did nevertheless enjoy our holiday.

I apologize for some reported flaws, but I have never been aware of such facts. I will arrange for the placement of a few cups of boiled eggs. If the placement of the towels failed they could have been placed and all was well. We are very pleased to have had a good vacation and look forward to welcoming you in the future.

Lovely apartment
We had a great holiday in this lovely apartment. Very spacious inside and excellent outside space with choice of balconies depending whether you want sun or shade. Very secure and lift to the apartment with a lovely well maintained pool area. Booking with Rosa was very straightforward and Fatima was there to greet us when we arrived. Solrio apartments are in a quiet area but very handy for the restaurants and bars and a 10-15 walk to the beach. Thanks Rosa Fiona and Donald
