Great location, great host, very clean bnb, we loved our stay here. The location was perfect, it’s only a few minute walk to the red light district, and it’s right next to a metro and also very close to Amsterdam central station. The room was very clean, and it was kept clean throughout our entire trip. Overall I give this place 5 stars I would recommend the tulip to anyone who is looking to stay in Amsterdam.

We really enjoyed our Stay. Clean room and amazing Staff there. Its right in the middle of the City, so we only had to walk at max. 20min to get somewhere by foot. The stairs are a bit steep but the Room is worth the climb. Will definetly book again here!

Good location
Very good location. We went all attractions by walk during stays in Amsterdam. Many restaurants nearby. The house is amazing that it's a historical building. Just need to concern about no elevator and the bathroom is a bit small. House owners David and Chris are very nice. Thank you for everything!

Cozy, clean and comfy - perfect location! We stayed in the Green Tulip Room located on the second floor via a narrow circular stair case (typical for Amsterdam) The rooms are located at the back of the house which is generally very quiet however, neighbors in business next door are somewhat loud in the morning. Room is exactly as shown in the photos Wi-Fi, bathroom small but very clean, small refrig, cute microwave & espresso machine. If you get this room at times you might hear the neighbors upstairs. The location of the property is perfect. We walked everywhere and even to the furtherest museums. The Canal runs in front of the property but unfortunately, it is not visible from the rooms. David, was extremely nice! He gave us tips to get around the city and our room was cleaned everyday. I highly recommend this B&B. Thank you David for making our stay wonderful & give Heidi a pat from us.

Charming Canal House
Our excellent stay began with meeting our very welcoming hosts who gave us lots of information about the guest house and about the local attractions. The Tulip of Amsterdam app was very helpful for the time we were there. This is very well situated and close to Metro and an easy walk to Dam Square and eateries. Highly recommend Tulip of Amsterdam.

Lovely, Local Place to Stay
What a wonderful location and authentic local's experience. I was able to walk to my conference and explore the city by foot on my non-work day. The central location made it convenient to drop things off, rest for a few, and walk right back downstairs into the middle of it all.

As I posted earlier, The hosts were present and kind, helpful and informative. We felt like we’d known them forever! The set up is charming and gives you the feel that you actually lived in Amsterdam among the locals!

David is such a lovely host! He is welcoming, friendly and very happy to answer questions and arrange things. I had a perfect loft in an historic canal house and enjoyed it immensely.

I found this apartment very, very clean, comfortable, and perfectly sized for the 2 of us. Everything was as perfect as it seemed online. David and Chris are perfect hosts. They provided us with all the information we needed. Checking in and out was easy! The apartment is just perfect! The wifi works perfectly. Kloveniersburgwal is a quiet place close (10 min) to the train station. Everything within walking distance. I look forward to staying here again one day or recommending it to friends. Many thanks to you!

David was really helpful and accommodating when I had changes made to my travel plans due to the weather. I have visited Amsterdam before but wish I found the Tulip of Amsterdam sooner.

Great Service
We really enjoyed our stay at Tulip of Amsterdam. Dave was incredibly helpful checking us in, providing recommendations, and answering questions. The location was perfect. The cats were adorable. We would definitely stay here again!

Our room was so adorable. It was stocked with everything we could need. Chris and David were very kind and helpful. Highly recommend this place. It is also in the middle of city center so right where the action is!

Awesome Stay

The best and happiest choice I could have made
It was the first time I traveled alone and decided to make my own travel itinerary, and Tulip of Amsterdam B&B was the best and happiest choice. Very well located in a large traditional Dutch canal front house, I was close to all the interesting sights of Amsterdam and could do everything on foot. David and Chris, the owners are the best and most receptive people, they do everything to make you feel comfortable. Extra points for the dear ones to the lovely kittens who also inhabit the house and make the environment even more special. I would definitely return to Tulip of Amsterdam B&B and also recommend it to everyone I know.

Loved the quirkinesses of this place. The host went out of his way to be helpful. Loads of choices for breakfast Flowers, wine and chocolates in the bedroom! Very central to everything. Would definitely recommend this place. Need to be careful on the steep wooden stairs.

A home away from home
We had a very nice stay at the Tulip of Amsterdam B&B for 3 nights. We were met by Nikki who was all smiles and very helpful upon our arrival. She gave us a map of the city and came with suggestions of activities for us and answered all our practical questions. We were shown to our loft room on the top floor after climbing a very narrow, windy staircase. Here we found cold drinks and a bottle of wine waiting for us.The room was over 2 floors with a ladder that folded down from the ceiling. There was a bed up there for our daughter to sleep in, so we had some privacy below. Nikki, David and Chris helped us find good restaurants as well as a good hairdresser. They could not have been nicer nor more helpful. The breakfast room was cozy with a big selection of "help yourself" food and drinks, including fresh squeezed orange juice every morning.

Nice B&B - Great Location!
My husband, his cousin, her husband, and I were only in Amsterdam for one day/night and my husband wanted to go to the Red Light District. The B&B was only a few blocks away, which was perfect. The check-in process was easy. David asked about our plans and gave us an overview of the city - super nice guy. Since we were early, the room wasn't ready, but we were able to leave our luggage while we explored. The room we stayed in did not come with breakfast, but there were all sorts of snacks and drinks in our room that we could help ourselves to. I was very thrown off by the staircase to get to our room!! The room itself was comfy and cozy - perfect for the four of us! Don't hesitate to stay here :)

Tulip of Amsterdam, a Blooming Flower of Comfort
The Tulip of Amsterdam is centrally and conveniently located to the center of the city and all of the major sites we wanted to explore. We liked our room which had a collection of eclectic Dutch themed decor. Our host was friendly and accommodating. She was reliable and made us feel at home. We really appreciated the in-room food supplies and the breakfast room had an incredible variety of foods. We recommend the Tulip of Amsterdam without reservation.

Peaceful retreat in an urban center location
The Tulip is conveniently located within walking distance (pulling a suitcase) from Central Station. It quickly became a retreat for me that provided a quiet and comfortable place to recharge. It is within walking distance of so many amazing parts of Amsterdam and is surrounded by good restaurants and shops. The hosts are the best part. They are warm and friendly and bend over backwards to make the time in Amsterdam rewarding and accessible. I am grateful to have found myself at the Tulip.

B&B idealement situé pour tout acces : metro, restos, musees, shopping, supermarché, quartier rouge....tout se trouve à proximité. Studio famille avec vue sur le canal et la route avec comme voisin, une poissonnerie et les inconvénients avec : bruit de la livraison très tot le matin et odeur de poissons persistante. Le studio est bien agencé, pratique pour une famille de 2 adultes et 2 enfants. La décoration est jolie avec possibilite de faire des petits repas dans le studio. Chris et David, les proprietaires sont charmants, serviables et discrets. A recommander pour un sejour découverte d'Amsterdam.

B&B med klass
Vi är mycket nöjda med vår vistelse på Tulip B&B av flera orsaker: 1. Läget kan inte bli bättre - mitt i smeten. 2. Rummet var personligt inrett och det kändes som ett hem. Sängen skön och kudden stor och fyllig. Dessutom finns på rummet kaffemaskin och kylskåp som fylls på varje dag med smått och gott. 3. Frukosten! Det är "self-service" som gäller och det finns mycket att välja på: gör en omelett eller koka ägg, rosta mackor, hämta pålägg i kylen eller välj fil och flingor. Man kan proppa i sig så man står sig gott i flera timmar. Frukt och croissanter finns att ta med till dagens utflykter. Detta B&B maxade vår resa och jag rekommenderar det till särskilt för kompisar, par och den som vill bo i ett tidtypiskt Amsterdamskt hus. Det är också anmärkningsvärt tyst på Tulip, både på rummet och i huset. Jag rekommenderar inte Tulip för rörelsehindrade eller för småbarnsfamiljen då huset är smalt, högt och har branta trappor.

First trip to Europe
This is the first B&B we've ever stayed in and we really enjoyed the house, our room, and our hosts. They were so, so helpful to us in figuring out where we wanted to go in the city and the local areas that were better and safer to visit. They went out of their way to accommodate us. The stairs are definitely narrow and steep. They added a lot of character to the history of the hone. (Although, I would never advise my 80 yr old parents to try to use them.). I highly recommend the Tulip of Amsterdam for its hospitality and location.

Short stay in Hamsterjam
Stayed for 3 nights with two teenage kids in the Studio Room. Great to stay in a traditional canal house in a great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside was the early morning wake up call from the fish deliveries next door but I guess if you're seeking local colour you have to take it in whatever form it comes.

Honeymoon
We stayed at the Tulip B&B for three nights in August 2013 while in Holland on our honeymoon. The owners were on vacation but the people managing the B&B in their absense were very professional and helpful. We were extremely pleased with the room we had- comfortable bed, nice shower, quiet, spacious and nicely decorated. The coffee and breakfast items stocked in our room were appreciated, as was the bottle of wine that welcomed us. The Niewmarkt area immediately surrounding the B&B is very quaint. There was a great market with flower, fruit, vegetable and cheese vendors just outside our door as well as great cafes, restaurants and shops. It was convenient to the heart of the central city, but a few blocks off the main streets which was very nice! We would happily stay here again and would recommend to others!

Great stay in Amsterdam
Chris and David offer a warm personal welcome to Amsterdam, and a superb setting to enjoy this great city. Our room was charming and comfy. The self-serve breakfast is great; very generous and accommodates everyone's tastes. Tulip is much more like staying with caring friends who really want you to enjoy their home.

Would recommend...
We are a young couple who stayed in the double room with ensuite. The room was well equipped and very clean. Breakfast snacks provided were appreciated and we were grateful to have most of the facilities to eat in the room. It is in a very central part of Amsterdam and you can walk pretty much everywhere (to all museums, places of interest etc). Bathroom was nicely renovated and had a good shower head. Bed was comfortable. The only complaint I could think of (and it is really nothing in the scheme of things) was that when people upstairs walked over our main light fixing it rattled!!! Maybe a new light fitting would solve that. We had a most pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again. The owners were friendly and we felt safe, happy and well looked after.

Super B&B
This is the best B&B I've ever stayed in! The quality of the room was superb, the friendliness of Chris was great and he done everything to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The room was immaculate, as was the whole building. And location was great - just 10mins from Centraal Station and a stones-throw away from the Metro. Really superb place - can't recommend highly enough.
