We had a great stay. The location was great, but I can't give a 5 star review since there are 3 items that would make me think twice about booking this place. First, there is a road construction going on just outside of the place. They are putting down a new tram line so this is going to go on for a long time. And they are very noisy. Had I known about this, I would not have booked the place since the jackhammer noise at 7:30am is quite rude to be honest. Second, the stairs are VERY steep and narrow and you have to go up 4 flights. If you have limited mobility or carrying heavy luggage, then this is not the place for you. We are fairly fit family and we struggled. We expected narrow and steep stairs in a canal house building in Amsterdam, but this is beyond our wildest expectations. I am attaching a photo of the stairwell to give reviewers an idea. Third, there is a person living above your unit. This was bit strange since there is no lock to our unit, and there is a stranger right above your unit. We never run into this person, but I think this should be stated in the description of the unit or provide a lock and key to the unit.Having said all this, we enjoyed our stay. The location was very central. A major grocery store was only a 5 minute walk away. The kitchen was very well stocked. You have easy access to the tram stations.
