Fly-in charming cabin winter wonderland
The house was very easy to get into and very clean. Suzanne left the snow shovel outside and we needed it when we got there. Kitchen was fully stocked. Wifi was flawless. Princess room was a big hit for our girls. 3 min walk to the lake! Highly recommend!

Cozy cabin for a short weekend trip
The property was perfect for a quiet 2-person getaway - great location and a 40-50 min drive to Bear Valley Ski Resort. Our host was very helpful and friendly!

We had a great time at the cabin. Loved the hot tub, fireplace and fun upstairs area for kids. Not ideal for talker adults to head up straits, however. We will be back!

Such a cute cabin, location was everything. So beautiful and close to the Redwoods. The deck and jacuzzi were legit👌 My son loved the upstairs and the master bedroom was nice with a comfortable bed. I definitely would reccomend and hope to stay this upcoming winter.

The Lazy Lodge was a relaxing weekend getaway!
Beautiful deck with a very nice hot tub and the outside view is amazing! From the time we opened the front door we knew it was going to be a great weekend. We enjoyed kayaking at the lake only a short distance from the property.

Great getaway
So happy we found this property.This is a clean and cozy home with all amenities in great shape. Impressed with the mid-century decor- very well done. This home is in the perfect location close to stores and snow yet is very private in a quiet neighborhood. Its an older cabin which I personally love, you can't go wrong with being in arnold. The back porch is my favorite place, the trees are beautiful. There's nothing like it. They were super nice, super responsive. She has a book collection which we love, we plan on leaving our own books to add next time.

Enjoyed our stay in September
Our family of four, including kids aged 9 & 10, and our family dog, enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was cozy and quirky. The kids slept upstairs and loved climbing the pull-down ladder to get up and down. (There are outdoor stairs to get to the upper level if needed) The house has that nice lived-in feeling and stocked with extras - if you need extra snow gear, swim/lake accessories, sweaters, blankets, etc - and the kitchen is thankfully well-stocked. I *always* appreciate a rental that actually has some condiments in the fridge and staples in the cupboards. My husband had to work during our time there, and while the internet was sufficient (and we were thankful to have it because we had zero cell reception), he did struggle with lag in Google Meet meetings, even with video off. Not the end of the world, but an FYI. Also I thought there would be a desk for him because I saw one in one of the photos of the bedroom, but it has been replaced with a dresser. We loved the hot tub on the very quiet evenings, and once I found all the parts for the hammock, we enjoyed that as well. It was a really lovely time to be out there (end of Sept), offseason, not too many people around and the temps were perfect. Warm enough to enjoy the last weekend of the pool being open at Blue Lake Springs, and for exploring Calaveras Big Trees SP or going for walks by the lake. But nice and chilly at night! I love being surrounded by trees and understandably they drop a lot of needles. I actually found it therapeutic to sweep the decks. When I had a few questions the owners were very quick to respond, from the very beginning. I really appreciated that! The neighboring cabin was getting all their windows replaced for two days while we were there, so it was very noisy but this is not likely to be a problem for anyone else ;-) and we don't blame anyone. Just an unfortunate circumstance! And of course we were VERY thankful that would could bring our dog with us. The place is very dog friendly and they even have a few things there for your pooch. We love the area and we enjoyed our stay at the cabin.

This is a nice cabin that has all the basic needs. It is older with a few remodels done. The hot tub is a nice bonus. Just FYI No service with T-Mobile or AT&T but the wifi worked great!

Family vacation June 10-14
Had a great time with our Adult kids & our 2 year old grand daughter!! Perfect for all of us! Walking distance to Lake ! Place was clean ! Hot tub was great for night time use! Best vacation ever
This was one of the best vacations my family has ever taken. The location was perfect, walking distance to the fun and easy to swim in lake, golfing right down the street and a quick drive into Murphy’s. The house was PERFECT for our family!! Enough space for us, toys and games for our kids (we usually have to bring our own), outside space to play, a spa to relax in, and my kids barely fought or argued... it was literally paradise for a week. The owners responded to every question and even offered ideas on places to go with the family. It was the best experience we’ve ever had with a Vrbo and can’t wait to go back again!!

Relaxing week in the woods!
We loved relaxing in the hot tub looking out at the trees. The cabin was comfy and warm, the heater worked well and it stayed warm all night. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of sleeping options for our family of 4. There was an internet outage when we were there and the owners were very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the short walk down to the lake area and frisbee golf course, even though the lake was still drained for the winter. Overall it was a great stay!

Peace & Quiet
Great cabin, as advertised. We were there in-between seasons (snow melting quickly, lake/reservoir not filled) but had a grand, old time. Quiet, wooded neighborhood, good walks with the dog and family. The house served us nicely: wifi for Zoom calls & classes, BBQ for burgers & steaks, hot tub for whenever we damn well wanted. Very good communication with the owners. Thanks!

Perfect winter weekend away
We stayed here for two nights in March and it was perfect. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. We love the view from the living room’s large windows, the open concept kitchen and dinning area and the quiet and peaceful location. The hot tub was magic. It was clean, hot, and easy to use. It is perfect for two adults. May be small for more than 3... but it was perfect for the two of us. When we visited there was a foot of snow on the ground so the hot tub was just the perfect way to be outside in the beautiful winter air while also feeling warm and relaxed. The house is a little slice of comfortable, happy heaven and we look forward to returning some day.

Cozy Cabin in the Woods
My husband and I brought our dog for some snowy adventures, but unfortunately there wasnt any snow. But even without the snow, we enjoyed this cozy little cabin in the woods. The fireplace set the mood for games, we took long walks around the neighborhood with he dog and relaxed in the hot tub. All in all, it was a wonderful weekend. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. We would definitely stay again.

Magical!
We had such a lovely and relaxing time at the cabin in Arnold. The house was equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck and soaking in the beautiful view of the glorious trees and wildlife. We also took full advantage of the nearby hike trails and lake. Suzanne is an exceptional host and we felt very welcome in her beautiful home. We will be back!

First time in the area & we will definitely return!
We had a wonderful Winter getaway weekend at this property. About the location: It’s been a dry Winter so to get to the snow we drove up about 20-30 minutes to the snow parks by Bear Valley. We walked from the house down to the lake (which was drained for winter) and it was a quick and easy walk. We will definitely return for Summer conditions. Walking the dog around the neighborhood was great and the property is conveniently located at the middle of the circle. Lots of families with pups out walking during the day. About the property: This was the perfect size for my husband and I plus our dog. We didn’t use the loft space but I can see how it would be fun for kids or a second couple. We are always concerned about heat in the Winter but we ended up not even using the heaters in the bedroom because the fireplace did such a great job in the evenings and main heater warming things up in the morning, it was nice and cozy. Kitchen had everything we needed and we made some nice meals here. Bathroom floor had an added bonus of heated tile flooring which made getting out of the shower so nice! Great dog bed in the living room that our pup loved. Tons of movie channels on TV. Good WiFi coverage (my cell coverage with Verizon was fine, husband’s AT&T service was terrible). Also TONS of outdoor lighting on the property made it great for taking the dog out for potty breaks in the dark. About the hosts: We all know sometimes things aren’t perfect upon arrival but honestly they could not have handled it better. We had a few glitches with check in and reached out. They answered our calls quickly and within a few short hours, they had addressed all of our concerns and we were off having an amazing time and relaxing. We will definitely return to this property!

Ladies get-away weekend
We enjoyed the cozy cabin and walking through the quiet neighborhood. We would have REALLY enjoyed the hot tub, but it was not working that weekend. The hot tub was the primary reason for renting this property, so that was very disappointing. The owner refunded some of our money due to the inconvenience. Thank you.

I dont normally do reviews but with this cabin and its owners I had to. It was a beautiful cabin fully stocked with all essentials and Spotless clean. It has a total old world charm about it and close by in Murphys town there is a marker as well as an Organic market so you dont have to shop an hour away before you get there. Nice lake within walking distance and the tree state park full of hiking trails 15 minutes away. Using the hot tub that actually worked perfectly after hiking all day was a blessing for the body's recovery. The owners were a text/call always in communication if needed and very helpful to answering questions. Its an adorable cabin with old world charm and if you want to just check out of our fast paced technological World and step back into the old one we all grew up in strongly suggest this cabin. I will def be staying again and look forward to re-visiting again soon to come.

Great family cottage.
My wife and I took our two daughters (14), (12) up to Arnold for two nights stayed at this property and we truly had a great time. Cottage was well stocked, clean and the owner was extremely responsive and helpful. I would rent tihs property again in a second.

Cozy comfortable cabin.
Loved the hot tub on the large deck. Played in the snow outside the cabin. Very close to awesome Calaveras Big trees, and the beautiful mountains around Bear Valley
