Perfection
What a lovely gem! The peaceful sounds of the river, hanging out by the fire pit, drinking coffee on the deck and of course, the artistically quirky interior - we couldn't have asked for a better place for a getaway. Lyn (and sweet pup Poco) were the consummate hosts - we cannot wait to make a return stay!

Best cabin ever!
Nestled in Asheville, this is the most charming cabin with a killer view of the river. The yard's decked out with these cool totems, adding a unique touch to the vibe. And man, that river's sound? Totally mesmerizing.You'll catch Lyn taking his adorable dog for a walk along the riverside, soaking in the peaceful scene.It's not just a cabin; it's like a chill oasis where you can escape the daily grind and just vibe with nature. Perfect spot for some downtime and soul recharge, you know? My wife and I had an amazing time at this cabin. The best cabins ever!

Amazing Respite
This is an amazing cabin tucked along the river and just a short drive to downtown Asheville. We greatly enjoyed relaxing by the water, the bamboo oasis, and the game room (pool, darts & shuffle board). Can’t wait to return.

Pleasant and Relaxing Visit!
We had a really nice time at the cabin. Everything was there that we needed — including fishing poles. Lyn was a great host and promptly answered any questions we had. We will definitely be visiting again.

A great location with a great owner
This was one of the cleanest and well-stocked VRBO locations we've stayed at. I expect others will recognize VRBO locations that feel a bit dingy or dirty when you arrive, or where the owners have skimped on basic amenities (I'm looking at you, "one roll of hotel toilet paper per bathroom" locations!). This couldn't have been further from the truth with this rental. The cabin was very clean and very well stocked with basic amenities needed for the stay, from dish and hand soap to logs for the indoor stove. The owner, Lyn, was also incredibly helpful. Due to some very strong winds that blew through the area during our stay, we lost internet for the better part of a day (thanks Spectrum). We also lost power around 11 pm one night (which Duke Energy thankfully restored within an hour). Lyn was giving constant updates throughout the outages, and recommended a really nice coffee shop (Filo Pastries) for internet access we needed while the outage was ongoing. We'd definitely stay here again.

Retreat by the River
My husband and I along with our two teenage grandsons spent a glorious Thanksgiving holiday at this property. It is everything that the pictures portray and more. We enjoyed the environs and the cozy cabin which had a well appointed kitchen with plenty of service items. We had only one small request for the host which was fulfilled in under 10 minutes. The game room was almost continually occupied by our teens while we were at the cabin. I had looked at this property many times and only wished I had rented it before on one of our previous trips to Asheville. Don't hesitate to book. Not only does it provide a feeling of seclusion, but you are within easy traveling distance to the restaurants in Asheville and Black Mountain, as well as well positioned to visit other hiking places in the area.

Luxury Cabin Retreat
This was our second time staying at this cabin and it was just as amazing as the first time. The owner definitely takes much pride in his property not only on the interior but exterior as well with so many little and big details not to be missed. The added on game room was a big bonus for us this time and was such a great way to spend a day when not out hiking waterfalls. It exceeded our expectations both times and would highly recommend to anyone else thinking of staying here.

Fall getawy
Had a wonderful time in a cabin by a stream. Quiet and peaceful. Wonderful place to see the fall leaves changing . Everything is there that you need for your stay. The owner is nearby and very helpful. A great person to know. Definitely will return for another fall visit.

This is our second stay. It is absolutely beautiful with everything that one would need for a perfect vacation. Lyn, our host, greeted us shortly after arrival to ensure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone who enjoys the sounds of a mountain river, a comfortable cabin, a fire, an outdoor fire pit, and so many other wonderful amenities.

Best 16th birthday weekend EVER!
This property is so amazing. The view, the porch, the house, the wood carvings, the art, the owner were all so spectacular! I took my daughter and her 2 besties to visit Biltmore for her 16th birthday and we could not have found a better place for us to stay!!! They had so much fun in the creek, the game room, and just walking the property. We saw more beautiful things everytime we looked around. I cannot

Serene location
Lovely base from which to explore Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounds. Beautiful setting, very well equipped property with loads of character. As good as it looks
Spectacular location, beautiful accomodations with many artistic flourishes inside and out. Literally, about 15 minutes from almost anything one would want to see in Asheville, and within an hour in any direction of the great outdoors visible from Asheville. Host was very welcoming and helpful. A special spot that earns repeat visitors. Can't go wrong unless you'd prefer not to feel spoiled.

Beautiful Location and Awesome Host
No complaints whatsoever. A beautiful location, everything in the house was in perfect condition, and the host was incredibly kind and helpful. If I ever come back to this area, i will absolutely be booking this place again. Also telling all my friends and family to go here if they're ever in Asheville. Highly highly recommend.

Great river cabin!
Comfortable, well-stocked cabin in a quiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck and at the fire pits along the river. The eclectic art was a real treat, and we kept discovering new pieces as the weekend went on. We didn’t cook, but if we had, we would have had everything we needed! We will be back!

Nice stay
The house was very nice. In a neighborhood of close by homes. Close to neighborhood main road. Great game room in lower level. Wish they had a king sized bed, but that would be my only change.lovely view of river. Beautifully landscaped with bamboo and local plantings. State park close by for fishing. It wasn’t quite remote enough for us, but we highly recommend this for a well located home with a backyard that makes you feel like you are in the wilderness.

The Shangri-la of Asheville
This was our third time at this property, we keep coming back because it is so peaceful and yet still so close to the city. We love just sitting and listening to the sounds of the river going by. And lots of fun games downstairs.

Don't miss this gem
We had the best time here. We immediately felt comfortable in the house and surroundings. Lyn pays attention to details both in the home and the property. The sculptures are one of a kind! So cool. Can't say enough good things about this location.

Great location
This is the second time we have rented this fabulous retreat ! The inside is really nice but the outside is spectacular. Sitting on the deck listening to the stream below or have a fire in the fire pit under the stars. So relaxing. We will be back again.

Amazing river cabin with entertainment for all
We had an AMAZING time at the cabin. Lyn met us and gave us some tips . The cabin was immaculate and the accommodations were perfect . The basement was incredible with movie area , pool tables , shuffleboard and fun for all ! The decks were perfect for reading and eating with easy access to the river. Perfect outside with fire pit and river access. We hope to visit again and had a great time ! Lyn is a fabulous host !

The first of many planned stays at this sanctuary. We had an incredible time. Only 15 minutes from downtown, the Biltmore, and historic areas. The river is beautiful and the house is well stocked with everything you need. Lyn is so kind and provides the perfect balance of friendliness, safety, and privacy. We loved it.

Magical River Cabin
My husband and I have stayed in many VRBO houses through the years and this cabin was the best rental we have ever had. Clean, beautifully decorated with lots of artwork and funky treasures inside and out, porch which overhangs the babbling river (best sleep listening to nature’s music), game room was awesome and Lyn, the owner, was lovely and very helpful. Special place
We had a wonderful stay at this property. I cannot say enough about the house and the property. Hanging out on the deck overlooking the river and walking down to the river was so peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed watching the geese, ducks, and hawks that visited the river We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows for s'mores at the fire pit. The house is so nice and the artwork is amazing and eclectic. I loved the style. We also really enjoyed the game room. My son loved the shuffle board table, pool, and the dart board. Kitchen is very well equipped. We ate in every meal, and the grocery store is only about 5 minutes away. The property is very close to Asheville, but tucked away in a neighborhood that makes it feel secluded. The owner was very nice and helpful. We hope to stay here again. Again, wonderful place.

Spring break retreat
This house was perfect for us! We enjoyed the game room and the opportunity to be near the river whether inside or outside. We ate dinner on the deck one night and around the fire pit on another night. The location was great, close to Asheville, but in a quiet neighborhood.

Family getaway.
Place was exactly as described and was the perfect getaway we needed. We met family there and had a fantastic time catching up. The place was clean and stocked with all essentials as described. The river is so relaxing and beautiful and the property is superb. Close to blueridge parkway and downtown Asheville. We would definitely stay again. Loved it and have no complaints at all. This property is absolutely stunning! The pictures do not to it justice. There are so many beautiful details to the outside and inside this place. We enjoyed the views on the deck and multiple fire pits on the property while having some fun in the new game room located in the basement. I would 10-10 recommend this place. It was also 10-15min away from downtown Asheville. Lyn was a great host and we can't wait to come back!

Pictures are great, but in person....... WOW!!!!!
Truly an amazing property. The house, landscaping, fire pits galore, the river, all of it truly amazing. The location is absolutely perfect as well. 15 minutes to anywhere in downtown Asheville and 15 minutes to Black Mountain. We couldn't have been more pleased. We will return again. This property was just what we were looking for to experience our first visit to Asheville. It was so close to everything…10 minutes to downtown and 10 minutes to Black Mountain. Perfect to go explore, shop and eat and then come back for some R&R. The cabin was so comfortable and cozy. And Lyn had it well stocked with everything we needed. Not to mention, the art in his place was so great. The game room downstairs was so much fun too! And the views were incredible. We were so busy that we did not get to enjoy one of the three outdoor fire pits but hopefully we will be back to do that another trip!

Quiet and Tranquil
What an amazing property! Right on the river, so quiet and peaceful! Check-in was super easy. Lyn (the owner) was kind in providing additional information about the Asheville area and super restaurant suggestions (thanks again, Lyn!) Great communication. Convenient to Biltmore if you're looking for a wonderful place to stay to enjoy both the Asheville area, as well as Biltmore. Lovely, lovely!!

Adult Christmas getaway
We survived Storm Elliot that threw the nation into a frigid conundrum and while River Rock Cabin suffered some effects our host, Lyn, was attentive and efficient even making concessions to make our stay more than manageable. Outside frigid cold unfortunately didn’t allow for exploration or enjoyment of the beautiful property or downstairs game room but we were cozy and warm fireside with Duraflame logs playing cards and chatting as friendships blossomed upstairs. The property’s central location allowed easy exploration of all Asheville has to offer. I can see how River Rock Cabin would be a peaceful retreat in warmer weather and perhaps we will make it back to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina sometime in the future.
