Excelente lugar
Originalmente reservé 2 noches, por el mal clima no pude llegar en la primera noche, pero el staff fue muy servicial e incluso nos ofrecieron late check out para que tuviéramos tiempo de visitar más lugares. El personal habla inglés y español, ofrecen buen desayuno, con variedad de frutas. La habitación es bonita, tiene mejor pinta que en las fotos, la calefacción funciona bien y el lugar está a unas cuadras del centro. Lo único que creo que puede mejorar es el aislamiento acústico, ya que escuchaba a toda la gente que subía corriendo a su habitación al salir de la piscina, pero no es algo particularmente molesto. Sin lugar a dudas volvería a hospedarme ahí.

Excelente cerca del centro de Aspen
Lugar muy cerca del centro de Aspen, donde se pueden recorrer sus calles y buscar algunos senderos como el Rio Grande Trail. Cuenta con parqueo y no ofrece desayuno. Importante indicar que hay habitaciones en la segunda y tercera planta y no cuenta con elevador, por lo que toca subir las maletas por las gradas. El lugar muy limpio y la habitación con un tamaño adecuado. El servicio excelente.

Hello Francisco, You booked a private hostel with shared bathroom, maybe you thought you were getting a regular hotel room which we do have, but they cost more money. Some people look at the rate and forget to read the full description and then find out it's a small room. But it is a less expensive way to stay in Aspen. The lodge room would have been another $100.00. Sorry you didn't realize what you booked.

Sorry to hear your that you were not happy. We are an older style European lodge, not sure what unit type you stayed in. But then again we are on the affordable side in relations to Aspen accommodations. There are the newer rooms/condos right 1-block form the center of town but then they are going to be $250.00 to $400.00 more per night. 2.5 stars properties are x and 4-5 star properties are XXXXX. We are still only 5 blocks/ 8minute walk to the center of town. Hope you return to Aspen and you just need to look at the 3.5- 4 star properties.

This is my new favorite place to stay in Aspen! It’s definitely an older hotel, but the charm is definitely there. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was warm and clean. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the continual breakfast. There was plenty of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and bagels. The location was perfect. You can easily walk to town or to the trail system.

Value option for Aspen
The hotel is one of the cheapest options in Aspen so one should take this into consideration. My room was very outdated and a few things needed repair. The staff was extremely responsive to try to fix these things. The breakfast was an upgraded Continental style and was included in the price. There was also coffee and wine reception provided which was a nice touch, the noise level was pretty high, but luckily everybody went to sleep at a reasonable hour I was by myself, so the room was large enough, but I would question whether more than one person would be comfortable in the room

Thank you for your feedback and glad overall you enjoyed your stay. That room is schedule to have an all new bathroom put in next spring. We have completed 10 of our 13 rooms. When the bathrooms are done it is a very nice improvement. No plans at this time to gut the bedroom areas, ie new wall finishes! This room is set for a max of 3 people but 2 is usually still comfortable. Yes, the old lodge rooms, built 1960-1970 were usually about 250 sqft, compared to the typical size today of around 300-350. Again thank for your feedback and if you return that room type will have a new tile bathroom/walk-in shower..
