We are a group of 8 friends who stayed at this property as our annual guys' trip. To level set, we have stayed in places that cost less than half of what we paid here.Our stay left the group underwhelmed for a few reasons:1. Poor checkin experience. The night before arrival, I had to request checkin instructions. Upon arrival16 hrs later, we still did not have a way to check in, nor was the cleaning staff expecting us. Our contact was not responsive to mail, messaging, or phone so we had to wait 2 hrs to get into the house. When the checkin info was sent, the weblink was dead. There was no guide on the amenities, appliances operations, house rules, suggestions on anything local. 2. Upkeep and unprofessional management. Aside from the above, there were several issues with the facilities maintenance. One of the showers lacked hot water, the air conditioning controls were not responsive in one of the units, and two of the shower towel racks were broken. None of these were serious, but during the entire 6 days of the stay, the management was not able to get any of these issues resolved, and it was a daily battle to just get a response. Wifi is weak and almost unusable. Not what you would expect for a nearly 5000 stay. The property contact's responsiveness and technical knowledge were similar to a part-time college student manager. 3. Neighborhood. It is convenient to highways (most of Austin is) but is not in an upscale area. Just manage expectations.
