we are sincerely sorry to read these untruthful words about our structure and our work.
We have had the announcement on this site for about seven years and have never had problems of this kind with any of the guests.
All the other reviews can confirm this, many positively emphasize the attention, care and cleanliness of the various environments.
The house was cleaned with the same attention and care reserved for each guest who booked a stay with us, and the rooms were also sanitized according to the current ANTI COVID-19 regulations. We will try to answer every single point but what we want to point out is that following the problems you encountered on the first day of your stay at our facility, we have proposed two solutions:
1. we are committed to resolving the issues raised, to allow you to continue your stay as per booking;
2. we have offered you the opportunity to recover the entire amount already paid without deducting even the overnight stay of the night spent at the facility, or even the day necessary to find an alternative facility of your choice.
3. The 6.00 pm time was communicated to you to get an answer, and certainly not as a deadline for leaving our home.
In September the structures have much more availability to receive bookings than in the months of August and July, so you would not have had problems finding availability.
In any case, you have opted to continue your stay at our facility.
Your "request" for a refund of 400 euros was deemed unacceptable since the problems you presented were all resolved the same evening.
You didn't tell us anything about the internet during our stay about malfunctions of our private network, probably the conversations we had through whatsApp confirm that the line was present. Every year, at the end of the season, we always try to improve the experience of future guests at our facility with improvements and new services, so we always appreciate any advice or suggestion. We already had some improvements planned and we have already taken steps, also thanks to your feedback, to improve the points you raised.
Let's get specific: the bed is not a travel cot, but a standard bed, with antique carved and decorated wooden sides. Due to a difference in measurements between the conjunctions it was necessary to add small feet that have the purpose of aligning the two parts, they are not a makeshift solution but a widely used method. In any case, we have already purchased a new wrought iron bed equal to that of the second double bedroom, so we will update the new photos on the site. In addition to the new bed we have installed a new shower cubicle in the bathroom.
As for the sun loungers, they were intact before your arrival. After every single guest leaves, we always check everything, and before your stay the sun bed was not damaged.
We did not want to give weight to this thing, providing on the same day to replace it with new equipment, without therefore drawing on the money left in the deposit for any damage provided by the site.
We obviously cannot be responsible for the weather conditions guests will find, although we would like to be able to manage the weather as well. :)
In 2019 until October the temperatures were around 30 degrees, this year in the days of your stay the temperatures were not so high.
We thank you for the suggestion of the outdoor pool cover as a solution to the temperature, but the technicians told us that one sheet is not enough to solve the problem.
Precisely for this reason, in 2018, we decided to give the opportunity to take a hydromassage bath in the heated spa pool inside the house.
You wrote that during your stay there were machines in the valley that were in action, we inquired and they confirmed that unfortunately during the week of your stay there were works in the area, usually the machines are not in action and they don't make noise as you say.
It all seemed very strange to us, in fact, since, until today, no one has ever complained of disturbing noises or quarries nearby.
Unfortunately, some works were carried out that week, of which we were not aware and of which we are not responsible.
Vico is an ancient village, which is about 10 minutes from nearby Bagni di Lucca (not 25 minutes as you say).
At the end of the road that leads up to the village there is a grocery store, and in the village there is a renowned restaurant in the area (as confirmed by other guests in other reviews).
In the area there are also a splendid Canyon Park, a horse riding stable, several routes to do by mountain bike or on foot, as well as the various nearby villages to visit.
For over 5 years we have eliminated the references to prices in the text of the description of the house because it is still worth the price that is shown in the appropriate section and that the site itself offers in several screens before proceeding with the payment.
So any wording that can be found elsewhere is not the real one.
You could have raised any doubts about the price before booking, without asking for discounts once you arrived, but you didn't.We care about transparency and honesty.
A doubt remains for us. If I have booked a facility and when I arrive I think it is dirty, bare, uncared for and with an excessive price, if I am given the opportunity to leave without paying anything, here, I would take it without thinking twice.
Your decision was instead to stay and continue the holiday and then make a review that is certainly not positive. The criticism is for us to improve, so that's okay, thanks.
But it seems a bit anomalous to us.
