Once checked in, if you decide to go out and not come back until the AM, that's not grounds for a refund. Very nice receptionist. Clean common area. I was charged a deposit when I booked. Ended up paying full price even after Orbitz explained I paid deposit two months ago. Staff was really nice and I don't blame them about the mix up. Breakfast is toast, boiled egg, pancakes, pineapple rings and cucumber slices. It was nice to start my day with a little something in my tummy.

Overall: Reception and staff were always helpful. Its a quaint stay, since you're mainly paying for a place to sleep, shower, and rest. First Hostel experience, and I can confidently say I could do again. For budget travelers, adventurers, and newly singled it works.

While my stay was good, my only concern is that when parked underneath in there garage some of the roofing fell on to my car and while investigating the situation one of the workers just walked passed me and made no acknowledgment or ask if everything is ok. Theres only 7 stalls when then say limited parking, the girls at the front desk were super welcoming and the accommodations were clean and great.

Loved it
I liked the rooms , and in suite bathroom, the curtains surrounding each bed gave some privacy that was much needed . And the front desk team and the bar team are all wonderful .

I stayed in the all womens dormitory with 6 beds ,the price was fair. The beds and amenities were very clean and well looked after. The dorm bed was little too soft and bouncing for me (I prefer firm mattresses). Staff was good and helpful. Since the weather wasn't hot yet, the room with no a/c was OK. For an early riser like me, I had to wait until 7am for kitchen to open so that I could make a hot tea and 8am for the breakfast. Other than that, all else was OK.

Good location.. That's it.
The location was great as it was close to downtown, but the cleanliness was extremely poor. I was horrified when I saw a pile of hair next to the bed. The room overall was too dim and felt stuffy, and not all beds had curtains, while some beds had no curtains at all.

Would have liked staff to show courtesy. Their policy stated that they do not make reservations and yet when a bed was identified, they stated that it was reserved. The following morning, no one had used the same bed.

Great hostel
As a solo traveller staying here is a great way to make new friends, the staff are extremely kind and helpful, the beaver bar downstairs has a great atmosphere and the food is incredible

It's my first hostel I've stayed ever.
The room I stayed was cleaned everyday. You can use bath towels, shampoo and bodywash. That's very convenient because I save room in my backpack! Staffs are kind.

This was my first time staying in a hostel and it exceeded expectations! I walked in and went straight to the happy hour (4-6pm) and met great people immediately! The atmosphere was conducive to socializing and have a great time. Additionally, the (bunk) beds were very comfortable and I felt safe staying there. I would stay there again for sure!

Bad hostel in Banff.
This is a hostel, not a 4 star hotel. That said, it was not even a mediocre hostel experience. "Free on-site parking" should read "a few free on-site parking spaces". When we observed that the hostel spaces were full, we were told that most street parking was pay parking, but if we looked several blocks away, there might be a few open free parking spaces (in a completely tourist overrun town - yeah right). It was hot with window but no fan to move the air - absolutely miserable night. Very lumpy mattress. Doors sqeaked all night despite other guests trying to be quiet. In comparison, we also stayed at the Lake Louise hostel 2 nights. It was fantastic.

On a rien de positif, trop dispendieux pour la qualité de l’auberge. Pas ascenseur, pour le 3 étage et pas d’air climatisé, très grande chambre mais aucune commodité. Quoi dire pour le stationnement?.?. Aucun, avons dû stationner à presque un km. Non conseillé.👎👎👎

En del av personalen jobbar på fel plats, främst en städerska och en kort rödhårig i receptionen när jag checka ut( behöver verkligen hitta annat jobb, för i övrigt var vandrarhemmet fantastiskt välskött snyggt och centralt, alla respekterade tiderna efter kl22.

I like the friendly atmosphere, and service .I stayed in the all womens dormitory with 6 beds ,the price was fair and the beds and amenities were very clean and well looked after . Not for tall travelers 6-4” and over.
The stay was okay for a first timer in a hostel. Clean accommodations. Friendly staff and good food/drinks in the built in bar. However if you are as tall as me or close to, I’m 6-4”. You won’t fit comfortably on the beds as they have head and foot rails that won’t allow feet to hang over. Not for taller people if you book the mix rooms. Maybe book the singles instead.

One of the best experiences I've ever had. All of the staff are amazing. I'm even fortunate enough to be able to call some of them my friends now. I highly recommend this place to anyone. P.S. You must try there deep fried cheese curds. They are delicious.

We booked private room in hostel that had two queen beds. Lots of room, comfortable beds, shared bathroom. Quiet. Lots of hot water for showers. Towels provided. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided in shower. Parked on property in area under building. No air conditioning in bedroom but fan was provided and room temperature was fine. Access to kitchen area with room in fridge and pantry to store our food. Made sandwiches to take on our hikes. Breakfast included (coffee, tea, pancakes, muffins, fruit). Bar/pub served food - “special” hamburgers & fries & a beer on Thursday’s hamburger night was very good. Hit the spot.

Location is good and convenient to walk around. Washroom is the big problem, so many peoples shared with only one bath room in a unit.
