Disappointing feedback in some respects Bob and contrary to your comments on departure. Not sure why you would consider it cheeky to charge for water taxis. Cougarline is a separate business to the Bay of Many Coves and they are not in the habit of offering free water taxi transfers to the Resort - just for kicks? Would you consider it 'cheeky' if a rental car company charged you car hire costs to drive to a hotel in Queenstown? I do accept your feedback on the Bight Cafe. It is a nemesis which is set to close fopr good at the end of this season and will be replaced with a "guest lounge" . Unfortunately over the years - the cafe has taken away the focus from the resort and for exactly the reasons you noted - we have decided to re-purpose this space and replace it with a guest lounge and bar area and will also re-locate our reception to this space also. Finally - to clarify your checkout. Your booking from Expedia was in fact NOT dinner, bed and breakfast as you had believed, but in fact what you paid for was Bed and Breakfast - with dinner to be charged separately to your account. Rianne rightly checked you out so as not to cause a scene and waited for us to return from a day off to follow up. What you considered a farce was actually Rianne trying to make sense of your understanding of your booking - which was at odds with what you actually paid for. As a result - there remains a balance of $460.00 against your account which Kim and I have taken the decision to write off as we truly believe that you thought that this was part of your package - when in fact it wasn't. Bob - we enjoyed having you and your wife stay, but just needed to set the story straight as I think your comments (with the exception of the cafe, which we completely accept) were a little harsh and unwarranted.
