It’s amazing to stay in a heritage listed property while the house still meets most of the needs of a family. It’d be better if the host could let us know the actual address earlier as the address on Expedia is not the place we stayed. We got the SMS with the correct address after going to the wrong place. Also it’d be great if fly-screens can be installed to the windows at the kitchen area.

Lovely setting in the trees, nice to sit out and have a coffee on the verandah in the morning. Was a little out of town so arriving in the dark was not ideal. Very clean and cosy, with comfortable bed. Only downside was the noise from the upstairs guests - footsteps were very loud

The property was as described on the web site, however the security light outside our glass door flashed on and off 24 hours a day interupting our sleep. On leaving wr asked the cleaners to have t he light fixed

Views of the bay
'Scarlett Robin', TasShack in which we stayed in Bicheno wad in a great position to explore Freycinet and Coles Bay. Bought fabulous local mussels, lit a fire at night as it was chilly and enjoyed a comfortable stay. Well equipped kitchen. Great to have washer and dryer in bathroom.

The property was surprisingly large and in a lovely bush setting and Bicheno is a beautiful place. We had an issue with an out door light in the apartment below us that was faulty and flashed all night constantly like a strobe light keeping us awake. Informed cleaning staff but it wasn’t sorted so we moved into an alternate bedroom for the next night. The deck is unsafe for visiting children. We would have informed the manager/ receptionist but it was a drop off box for the key on the morning of the departure.

Our stay at TasShacks was absolutely perfect. We got upgraded to the Denison Rivulet Retreats as the shack we had booked was unavailable. The location was awesome, not to mention the shack itself, which was almost like brand new, clean and with all the stuff we needed to cook and maintain the place. The staff were very helpful and promptly assisted us when we needed.

Bicheno is a lovely welcoming community. Proprietor (sorry I've forgotten your name!), was so helpful, map she gave us in our key package for finding this Wombat gem was spot on. It is a little over a kilometre from town, so get your groceries before, then you can start relaxing immediately. Secluded bush spot, "with sea glimpses"?so need to drive to the beach or walk a km. But beautiful. We had the ground floor studio, which was spacious.

It was a lovely bush setting, the spa was quite nice. With that ticking all the box’s just a couple of extra dollars spent on the mattress would have made our stay super comfortable,

Amasing stay in Bicheno
What a pleasant surprise! We booked a Family House, 2 Bedrooms, Fireplace and it turned out to be a historic house, former Gaol, very tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. Loved the fireplace and a separate dining room. Excellent location - just 5 minutes walk from Waubs beach where we spotted a few penguins!

Superb location
Fantastic location in woodland, walks, wildlife, dogs will love it! We had the 2 bed roomed apartment which gave us masses of room. The 1 bedroom would be good for a couple but maybe a bit cramped for friends. Loads of amenities, absolutely loved it. Only 1 moan, don't expect to be able to use wifi. We were given codes that were for 4 days, lasted maybe 1 and the TV had no signal most of the time! The sea is beautiful and only 5 minutes away.

Not Quite Full Marks
Our unit was good value but nothing is ever perfect. The bathroom placed too much emphasis on the spar with the mirror badly placed above the toilet as a result of a large windows that extended over the hand basin. More cupboard and bench space would be useful in the living area.

Liked the surrounding bushland and glimpse of ocean. Didn't like inability to use BBQ as gas bottle inoperable, no plug for spa bath or sink therefore unable to use. Watered down hand soap and detergent. Double bed matress hard and wiry.

Very relaxed and comfortable stay. We had a large room, comfortable bed, good size bathroom and an outside seating area. The only thing missing was perhaps a small desk and chair that we could use for writing.

We was suprised how roomy and clean the forest house at bicheno was , we have stayed at quiet few places but this property was above standard for our stay ,it had everything there for us to enjoy our stay and relax . There was nothing we didnt like about this property and we will definatly be booking it again . ***** to us it was perfect and the reception was friendly and gave us mire than enough info on the attractions around etc , definatly will be going back

Recent Stay
It took a little backtracking to locate our accommodation! Once inside we found it cosy and apart from some cobwebs and a few little spiders ok. Disappointed there was not an oven but there was a microwave and a bbq. First night we discovered there is no outside light, proved very difficult to cook on bbq with one hand holding our small car torch and in the other a pair of tongs !!!! Next day I woke to discover a huntsman on the ceiling not a good thing to wake up to !!!!! Apart from the people staying above us making noise when running around it was peaceful enough. Next time I will be booking accommodation within walking distance to the centre of Bicheno. Overall I would give 6/10 for our 2 nights accommodation. Margaret

Good place
The house was great. Clean, big, all the amenities we needed. The only issue we had was the hotels.com does not advise you on the site when booking that TasShacks have many different types of accommodation and it is not located centrally like it says ok the booking site. We were not advised of this until after booking. It was still only a 5 min drive but not within walking distance as it says when booking. The place was big and spacious. Good for a family.

I had great difficulty changing the dates on the property when our schedule changed due to bushfires..I was unable to contact Expedia. The property was excellent value ...a few details ...lights in the bathroom and over the stove, and the oven temperature...need to be attended to Overall this location was above and byond what I expected.

Beautiful stay @ the “Scarlet Robin”
“Scarlet Robin” was clean, spacious, well equiped (full kitchen plus washer & dryer), comfortable, & the view from the wrapped-around porch was fantastic. My husband & I stayed there with our 17 mo old toddler & everyone loved our 2-night TasShacks experience.

Hideaway in the bush
Lovely secluded cabin in group of four in a bush setting. Check in was easy with clear directions to the place. Warm comfortable and quiet.

Home away from home
Tash shack besteht aus veschiedenen Häusern von offensichtlich unterschiedlicher Qualität. Wir waren im Top Floor Apt. Scarlet Robin. War wie zuhause. Super Wohnküche, eigene Waschmaschine, Wohnzimmer und 2 Schlafzimmer. Wir haben grad einen Ruhetag eingelegt so wohl haben wir uns gefühlt.

Our first night was awful, we have never had to make a complaint before, the website was not set out very easy so it was very deceiving, so we upgraded our room so we thought but when we got there it had the worst smell so we had the door open and the heater on trying to get rid or the smell, not a great start to our honeymoon. The next morning we rang telling reception about our room, they got the cleaner to take a look, so the cleaner that was on site gave us her room which was nice and it was much better but our stay was already ruined from the night before
