Me gusto mucho el ambiente al entrar tienes que pasar por el bar, al entrar me encanto el ambiente de alli, las habitaciones no las limpian ni cambian las sabanas, pero el agua sale caliente y hay calefaccion, para corta estancia esta bien, el ruido del bar es poco yo estaba en la primera planta, y cierra pronto el bar, pero es verdad que se escucha todo de las habitaciones de cerca, pero repetiria sin duda a 10 min del centro y de la estacion de buses y tren

Do not stay here
Absolutely disgusting 'hotel'. The smell of smoke is so bad my friend took an asthma attack. We checked in at 3am which was previously discussed with the hotel, we had an assault course to get over before getting to the door. Once inside we were smacked with the coldness it was honesty warmer outside! Then of course after a long journey you gotta use the loo... well i hope your hover skills are good! Oh and carry a torch the light fixture in our bath room was literally hanging off the ceiling. We only stayed because no other hotel could take us and we were in a rough area otherwise id of slept in the car! We originally booked 2 nights, we stayed a total of 7 hours and 4 of those were because we had to wait on the manager coming in, we were refunded for the 2nd night, but the absolute cheek of them to charge £76 for the night we had!! I slept fully clothes including my shoes, and only slept after crying myself to sleep!

Stayed here previously but unfortunately the mattresses are now showing there age and are uncomfortable also if you stay on the ground floor the floor boards from above will keep you awake. Other than this it is a good place to stay for the price

Easy access to town centre
Lady that checked us in was very friendly and knew all the answers to all our questions. We arrived early, and was allowed to get our room key before hand ( not the room) and she also allowed us to park our car at their free car park while going into the German Xmas market. Bus right outside the pub took us into town centre. On arrival back late in the evening we managed to catch last orders in the bar. Room in itself was clean, a bit dated, but was told they are doing them all up bit by bit. Nice chunky side furniture. Bed was on the hard side but I had a good night sleep. Shower is not for the bigger size people, very tiny gap to get into. Was missing a few shelves in the bathroom to put my toilet bag. This being a old building the floor board does have a mind of their own. No breakfast service in the morning. Overall this was a okay stay for what you pay. If ever back in birmingham I would book again. Good value.

Mediocre.
My daughter and I stayed over night to take in Saturday at the Frankfurt Christmas Market and Sunday shopping in the Bullring. The twin room we had reasonable in size and on the face of it clean. The Mossley arms is a little tired regarding the decor. The beds were ok but little uncomfortable and the room we occupied overlooked the carpark. This was was noisy below us late in the evening by smokers below. Safely we both decided not to use the shower in the morning as there were several pubic hairs in the shower tray. I can’t comment on the breakfast we paid for as neither of us wanted breakfast at the time we checked out.

Good price, very clean room with basic facilities. Unfortunately not a good sleep as the room seemed to have no sound proofing and people coming and going all hours. Also no parking available when we arrived which is the main reason we booked it. But reasonable price for what you get.

Room was very cold when I arrived, but was very comfy by bedtime :-) Person in room above mine was very restless and when combined with squeaky floorboards was a bit annoying

The only good part was the check in. The rest I would never like to repeat. First of all the area around the place was brutal. On a side road it was more like a tip with refuse piled high from general rubbish to bed spreads etc. I was put on the top floor next to the stairs access from the back of the property. This access was festooned with litter, leaves, and general detritus and seemed to be little attempt to have it cleaned up. The room was a twin room. It was ok to a point. It had tea and coffee, two beds and a private bathroom. The blind at the window could not be adjusted as the cord was broken. The TV remote did not work and in fact had items that rattled inside of it. There was also sellotape around the back of the remote presumably to hold it together? I tried to sleep. However that was also impossible due to the fact that there appears to be no hotel management that works. At about 01.30, the room next to me was invaded by what I can only describe as angry men. I presumed this room would be same as mine. ie a twin room, however there must have been 4 to 6 men in there. I really felt threatened as they were constantly shouting at each other, using threatening language. Making loud phone calls. It went on until about 0345. At this point I was so worried for my welfare that I left the room and escaped the place. I have been to some poor places but this took the preverbal biscuit. I suppose you get what you pay for. This certainly was not one of those occasions.

Very noisy, the room was shaking with the noise from the bar. Impossible to sleep before 1:00 am. Nothing to eat (even on a Saturday night), had to order from a restaurant. And still, I had to wait for more than 10 minutes for 2 pints, the barmaid was not able the cope with all requests and I feel for her...

one night stay
Stayed for one night while visiting Xmas market. Arrived before check in time, so after speaking to friendly staff member, she said we could leave car in car park and check in later. She gave us bus info and directions to walk into city, which was a 15 min walk. When we returned, we were given room 25 a twin room on the 1st floor. We then went back down to the bar for a drink in a good atmosphere before retiring. Unfortunately we did not have a good nights sleep, one of the beds was squeaking every time you moved and the mattresses were uncomfortable. We were also disturbed by the room upstairs with the noisy floorboards. Would have requested a top floor room if we realised how much and early the resident above was going to be. Unfortunately on check in we were told there was no breakfast service, so after being disturbed by the resident above early in the morning, we left at 7.30 am, leaving the key in reception as there was no one on duty at that time.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, basic accommodation, the staff were really good, extremely polite & helpful. The surrounding area was rather run down, but there were no problems even at night. The bus stop is opposite the hotel & just a short ride into the city centre, all in all we enjoyed our stay there

Does the job at a good £ rate. Friendly place too.
The Moseley is perfectly sited for the centre of Birmingham (easy walk), and has an on-site car park (see below). Our room wasn't the Ritz, but it was all you needed, incl: good shower, very comfortable bed. When we got back for the night, the pub downstairs was in full swing with a loud disco, but any fears of being kept awake into the early hours were unfounded as there was hardly any sound seepage up to the second floor. And in the morning, the cleaners had clearly been up early as the pub was spotless and the friendly staff served up a magnificent breakfast for next to no cost. (One beware: if you go by car, the Moseley is just inside the inner ring road and so now comes under the city's clean air zone - £8 a day if your car isn't compliant).

Booked the hotel as it had parking. Parking is only about half the spaces as rooms and so had to park at significant expense nearly a mile away for safe parking. Room too hot and open window made it quite noisy. Also light inadequate. Otherwise had everything expected and was clean.

Rude employees, broken shower, old hotel
The hotel was in a shady neighbourhood, the employees in the hotel are very cold and rude. The shower and water were not working for 50% of the time. The room and bed were old. In the night you can hear the music from the pub in your room
