Charming, historical property, which is fine for a night but perhaps challenging for a longer stay. The air conditioner in our room would make a loud rumbling sound periodically. As expected, bath area was small with almost no space to set down items. But there was a Keurig, a fridge, and a ceiling fan, which are nice. The hotel is by a mineral spring, so expect the odor from it.

The property was beautiful. The rooms were new, but the hotel is old. You can hear everything. We had a neighbor coughing all night long and it sound like she was in the room with us. There is no pool. The hotel had a weird smell. I don’t know it’s from the flooding of the hurricane. The food at the hotel was awful. There is no microwave. It’s definitely not worth the price we paid. We would never stay there again. We were very shocked at how well it was rated and then to arrive there how much different it was. The spa was nice too probably the only thing that saved it was how wonderful the spa was. Again definitely not a 9.2 hotel. Not even close.

We hope to get a 5 out of 5 during your next stay! Happy to hear you enjoyed our beautiful property. The pool you mention was built in the 1950's/1960's. Although it looks great, it needs extensive renovation to bring it up to current code requirements. That would dramatically change the look and design of the pool. We chose to preserve the history of the pool and present it as a water feature for our hotel and venue guests to enjoy. Thank you for your review.

The property was beautiful. I was sad we didn't have more time to enjoy it. It was a very comfortable room that was clean and even had a private patio. Beautiful property.

The grounds of the property are outstanding & beautiful. Walkable to local coffee shop & new night life location as well as other shops. Only dissappointment for the costs & hospitality level there was no wireless internet service available. Also I was surprised there wasn't daily maid service. The controller for the HVAC unit didn't seem to be working. We would stay again, just seemed there were a few details missing. But the building & grounds are amazing.

The Expedia described the suite as having two king size beds and a queen bed. The actual suite had one king, one queen and one pullout. There was no pool as advertised on Expedia and the restaurant was only from 8 am to 2 pm and serve cereal and light foods, not a full kitchen. There was no wifi. No coffee in the rooms. Despite having three bathrooms in the suite, only one person could shower at a time or the water wouldn’t be hot.

Currently the hotel is rebuilding their guest rooms that are in back of the main building. I was the only guest there for 2 nights, in the main building suites. It was so relaxing & very quiet. Breakfast is included and they even made a special fruit infused bottle of water for my room. When you stay here you get access to the gardens to stroll in the evening or early morning when there’s only staff around…One thing I wish was they provided a yoga mat to do some stretching.

absolutely gorgeous!! staff is the best! probably the best place I have ever stayed! I will be making a trip down there for business every month and this is going to be the only place I will stay from now on. the only thing I could recommend they do is check on the hot water. it gets warm in the shower in the suite I had but not hot even turned all the way to hot. and it doesn't get even warm in the tub in the other bathroom.

We had a big issue when we check in a payed if my debit some how they overcharged me double another $215.82 now we waiting to be refunded.Big headache 😥

I arrived at 10:00 pm from driving all day. They had an event going on with 30 people on site and no employees working. 2 valet guys didn’t know anything because they didn’t work for the hotel. I walked the entire facility even into the kitchen and no staff was there to be seen. I call the phone that was ringing in front of 6 times with no answer. The valet said the guy at the desk just decided he was going home. We had to go down the street and stay somewhere else. This place complete trash!

Hi Frank- We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. As stated on Expedia - "The front desk is open daily from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM. This property doesn't offer after-hours check-in." The front desk agent did call you at 8:30pm, but did not get an option to leave a message. We do have security, after hours. The phone number is posted on the front door. They are not always in the building, as they do security checks throughout the property. Again, we apologize for your inconvenience and hope you may consider staying with us another time.

Me and my husband had a great time .The hotel is so pretty, room is very nice, the staff friendly. The grounds are beautiful, the pics on line are nice, but so much nicer in person. I want to go back.

We loved our stay. It's a beautiful setting and a true joy for anyone who loves 'Old Florida'. The gardens are beautiful, and provide an opportunity to truly relax. I was able to try the restaurant and would highly recommended - everything was well beyond expectation. We weren't able to try the spa this time, but we will be back another time for that.

The room was nice and bed comfortable. I could not get the room to cool below 71 even when set lower… I don’t sleep well above 67/68 do it matters to me. I was also not aware there was no Wi-Fi. This should be made clearer as I can’t remember when a hotel didn’t offer Wi-Fi

In the heat of the middle of our Florida summer, it is difficult to keep the temperature lower than 71 degrees, especially if the doors to the room or private patio have been opened several times. We do offer complimentary wired internet. We also have adapters at the front desk for guests to borrow. We hope to see you again!

AC was horrible. Room temp was always 75 or higher. We swapped rooms once and it was still a nightmare. The towels they gave us were dirty and there was hair and bugs on the bed. Would not stay here again.
