We enjoyed our stay despite dirty silverware, dirty coffee maker with old pod left in it, horrible internet service, bedroom remote not working properly that even our teens had difficulty with, and uncomfortable sofa/loveseat (both of which make out into beds)and lots of do’s and don’ts. We expect for things like that to occur. Location is rural, quiet, and awesome. My husband did ask about bringing a friend and told $25/night extra. He was told to just leave it on the bar. His friend and our oldest son only stayed for 1 night-less than 24 hours. My husband was called by upset manager after we left asking what we did to the dryer to leave it dirty and stained as well as pictures being sent via texts and why we didn’t leave $50 for 2 nights for the extra person. He told her that his friend only stayed for 1 night and that our ice chest drained (the plug had gotten dislodged)on a rug with rubber backing. He cleaned everything up and put the rug and cooler outside to dry. Before we left, he put the rug in the dryer for about 20 min. The rubber backing crumbled like old bath mats do when he did. My husband found a wet dry vac and vacuumed everything out out of the dryer and lint catcher. Needless to say, we were put on the no rent to list and told to forget their number because we did not leave $50 for both nights when 2 occupants were only there for 1 night and not cleaning the dryer and for having the audacity to bring a cooler inside. She made it sound like we destroyed the place and zero respect for the property and owners which we didn’t nor thought that. We try to leave properties including hotel rooms as close as possible to how we found it hence how a car was found under the couch lol. Unfortunately, we did not live up to the owner’s expectations and we’re left with feeling attacked and like we were trash.
