Best 1st Cabin Experience for 4 Adults!
Judy was a great host! We lacked for nothing! She was always available for questions. She also provides a list of things to do, places to visit and places to eat in the area! She was more than helpful and willing to accommodate any activity as she provided some fun toys for the lake! Judy really made us feel welcomed and at home! The cabin was very clean and had everything you could possibly need and then some. Beds were super comfortable and there’s plenty of them in the bigger cabin. Plenty of outdoor space to hang out at if your staying in. The area is quiet and was perfect for bird watching! We are looking forward to visiting again and staying at this cabin!

Overall great place for just what we needed. The lake was super low but the pool made up for a great staycation weekend. Perfect for two people or a close group of friends. Mrs Judy was a great hostess.

July Get Away
My family and I had a wonderful time. The property is easy to locate and stores are just a few minutes away. The cabin, pool, and grounds were clean and neat. Cabin is also well stocked with essentials. You really only need to pack clothes and groceries. Mrs. Judy is very very kind and available for anything you need. She made us feel like we were family. We love her and will definitely visit again.

Best hostess
Awesome location with a quick walk to the water. Several options to cook indoors and out. Spacious home with a very cozy vibes. Judy is an incredible hostess who was accommodating in every way imaginable. Not a dull moment with the lake, gorgeous swimming pool, pool table, TV with cable and dvds, a fire pit, and opportunities to enjoy music at every part of the property. We will be back, for sure!

Hit the LOTTO with our very 1st VRBO Stay & with Hostess Judy
Where to start, smile. From start to finish, our stay was just exactly what I'd hoped. Hostess Judy's communication is impeccable. She texted several times prior to our arrival and we spoke by phone, too! I instantly knew the right decision about our first VRBO experience was affirmed. In fact, her warm, welcoming, big love, and vivacious energy made me feel like she was already family. I felt informed, educated, and made to feel like the most important customer on her agenda. We arrived just as the big storm hit. Judy welcomed us in her golf cart with a beautiful smile and hugs - and an umbrella. She thinks of everything!! We scurried into the most charming little house, perfectly appointed with beautiful lighting and an ambiance to say, "We're so glad you are here." We scooted into her golf cart for a tour of the property and she made it oodles of fun for the kiddos. She hung a Happy Birthday banner for my daughter and even had cheesecake with strawberry swirls and candles. Oh my goodness, my heart smiled in a grand way. We settled in and I marveled at everything I saw. The place was cozy, with a wonderful clean aroma, and I could easily surmise the love that went into preparing for our arrival. The kiddos loved the bunk beds and of course, my bed felt as though I was sleeping on a cloud. The kiddos swam and kayaked and frolicked around without a care in the world. The kayaks were plentiful and there was #KayakChoice - who knew, smile. The pool table was used a whole lot, games on the shelves were played, and a huge bonfire was made the next evening - perfect for smores. Fun facts: It's only eight (8) miles from Kingsland, where the local HEB is, and at sunset, you must go to the High Point, up the road to take in the majestic colors. There's an excellent chicken spot - Krispy Krunchy Chicken - at the Valero store in Kingsland. It's a must-try plus the locals love it!!! Our Great Pyrenees was happy soaking in the cool night breeze and birds bathed in the bird baths. The night lighting made it even more picturesque. After our two-night stay, we left with smiling hearts, vowing to return for another special occasion. I can on and on and on (smile) but hopefully, this gives the next prospective guest a flavor of our experience. My goal was to create lifelong memories and I do believe it was a resounding success. Everything you want and more.
My wife and 3 small children stayed at this cabin for our spring break vacation. I knew the cabin would be great from the listing and the other flattering reviews. The host, Judy, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. She opened a line of communication from the moment I booked the property, which was very helpful as I began preparing for our trip. When we arrived, she greeted us with fresh homemade cookies and she proudly showed us around the property. She drove us down to the lake in her golf cart and she let my 9 year old son take the steering wheel for a while which he thought was the greatest. Each day of our stay she would reach out via text message to see if we were enjoying ourselves and if we needed anything. She offered to drive us to the lake on her golf cart but, we never took her up on the offer because the walk was so short and we enjoyed the scenery anyway. The restaurants we dined at were also at her recommendation and we greatly appreciated that. She gave us the right balance of privacy and accessibility. She made us feel like family. The cabin itself was exactly what we wanted. The beds were clean and very comfortable. The backyard was perfect for my kids and dogs to run around and play in. We loved the fire pit and the s’mores we roasted. The pool table was also a highlight of our whole experience. We visited Inks Lake State Park and Longhorn Cavern State Park, which were truly breathtaking. I have no criticism to offer on this review. Well, I wish the weather was a little warmer. We definitely would have spent more time on the kayaks and cooking on the cool outdoor kitchen if it weren’t so cold outside. Overall, this was a terrific vacation spot and my family will remember this spring break forever. The next tenet will not be disappointed.

Very comfortable. We went fishing and cooked our catch using the outdoor kitchen, which was awesome. Judy greeted us with a smile and a tour of the property. At night she had the fire pit ready to go for us.

What a fun stay!
We had an amazing stay at this property! Judy went above and beyond to accommodate us and made it extra special for some birthdays we were celebrating. She communicated everything in detail and was fast to respond whenever we had any questions or needed anything. The cabin was cozy and location was very peaceful. Would love to come back for future stays!

Oasis at the lake.
Judy's place was perfect for our needs. The cabin is small, especially if you have six adults, but it worked just fine for us. The setting is beautiful and the pool was wonderful. It's a shame the lake is so low but it turned out to be a minor inconvenience -- just a few more steps to access the water. Judy is a wonderful host. Besides the normal host duties she had a birthday banner and treats for my wife's birthday and found and returned a lost earring. We will stay again for sure.

Super cute cottage
Super cute country cottage right by the lake! Beautiful landscape and flowers galore. We made a bon fire, kayaked, swam, looked for trinkets on the beach, rode our bikes, and ate outside! Truly, all the things summer is made for. This place has it all. All “the little things” are found here! Our family with young kids had a blast! Definitely recommend and we will be back!

Perfect spot!
We couldn't have had a better time this past weekend! My family and I rented the cabins and had the whole place to ourselves all weekend. We don't get to spend time all together to often due to so many of us working in medical professions and having time off at the same time is rare. Anyways, this place exceeded our expectations! The pool was so clean and cool which was great on the hot summer days. Plus this place had every float, toy and towel needed for our families. The cabins were clean and smelt soo fresh! They had everything we needed, paper towels, toilet paper, zip lock bags, coffee maker, plenty of cooking supplies.. plus more! We are soo thankful to be able to bring our dogs along with us on our mini vacation because they are truly part of the family. Both our dogs swam every day and multiple times in the lake (short walk from cabin) and had the best time (it was hard to get them out of the water). Everynight we made a fire and roasted marshmallows under the stars. It a family weekend of some great memories Made! Judy is the biggest sweetheart!! She made everything so easy from start to finish and was truly so accommodating the entire trip. She even had all the kayaks down by the water ready for us when we got there. Thank you so much Judy, we were so blessed by your kindness to our family! We all definitely want to return and spend another amazing weekend on this perfect property!!

Perfect for an adult sleep over
We were looking for a large space we could all share like an old school sleep over. This was perfect. It was very open and no one was isolated. Judy was a great hostess and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Short drive the Inks state park where we hiked.

Honestly, the king bed was the best bed I have ever slept in. The house is just so cozy and had everything we needed. Judy helped us with places to eat and which wineries to visit. It was just wonderful. We will definitely come back. :)

Wonderful stay and gracious hosts!
Fabulous hosts! The Texas cabin is a very charming place in a great location with lake access to fish, kayaks, a fire pit and a great pool on-site. Black Rock Park and boat ramp less than 1 minute away! It’s also pet friendly with a yard. Our cabin was very cozy with a pool table that kept our boys entertained at night. The kitchenette is perfect for any family. Very tidy inside and out. And the covered outdoor kitchen has extra space if needed. We enjoyed our stay, meeting our gracious hosts, and look forward to returning soon! We highly recommend you come stay at one of their cabins on Lake Buchanan!

Cozy and Hospitable Stay
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. Judy met us at the house when we arrived, gave us a tour of the amenities and the house. She had prepared a Anniversary banner, cheesecake, and champagne for us when we arrived. She checked in on us daily to ensure we had everything we needed. The house was comfortable and they supplied a lovely ready to start fire for us outside. Overall, we had a nice stay!

The Perfect Escape
Judy was incredible, and so is the property!!! The cabin was Fresh and ready with music playing and a banner for our anniversary hovering over champagne... We made use of the lakefront and cayaks as well as just spending time swimming at the beachfront; felt as if the entire lake was readily ours! We cannot explain words how perfect the pool was; shallow, spacious, relaxing, and and every need around you including music. The most Amazing aspect of this vacation is the landscaping and atmosphere with beautiful shrubs, trees, flowers, butterflies, hummingbirds, and all sorts of other charming nature surrounding you. Definitely suggest escaping here!

Best Birthday Ever!
This beautiful little gem of a place was exactly as described, actually it was lovelier in person. Add to it Judy and Ricky, hosts who were warm, friendly and accommodating and one simply cannot go wrong in booking this cabin for your next getaway. Go ahead, treat yourself and crew to a day on the pontoon because swimming under a waterfall is pure bliss! I couldn’t have written the script for a better birthday and this magical place was the perfect setting. Thanks folks; I’ll be back soon.

Amazing getaway, beautiful and peaceful cabin.
The property manager, Judy, was absolutely amazing. She was attentive and quick to respond. It's nice and quiet, peaceful and a gorgeous property. The cabin was perfect for 6 ladies. We had everything we needed from towels to firewood. I definitely plan on going back to this property in the future!

A great escape.
This was great. We had been in the Buchanan Lake area for the past two years but wanted to try something different. We were pleasantly surprised. There was no one else on site so we had the property to ourselves. We were also surprised by the accomodations. Nice large bed, though it did have a small shower stall. There were plenty of accessories - everything from cook ware to bathing gear. The thing that really touched us was the friendliness of our hosts. Judy and Ricky were great. Anything we needed they were attentive to. Whether it was recommending places to go or assisting us settling in, they were a joy to be around.

Best Host Cozy Getaway
This place is the coziest place with everything you could want. This is our second time to stay here and it was even better than the first time. We love this place and Judy (the host) is simply the best. She is very attentive and friendly but not intrusive. Basically, she's there if you need her but respects your privacy. 100% we will be back.

Nice weekend getaway.
We had a great time at this property. Clean and very comfortable beds! My 2nd grader was worried since he forgot his favorite soft blanket, Judy has the place stocked with plenty of soft blankets (and anything else you may have forgotten) that made him happy. We used the outdoor grills both nights and loved the outdoor kitchen, pool table was fun and we enjoyed the use of the Kayaks and fire pit in the evenings, perfect for smores! We stayed from a Friday-Sunday and brought our small pup. Reccomend Inks Lake State Park nearby as well, make a reservation and go for a beautiful hike. Side note the listing said no wifi but they do have it with password posted :)

Relaxing week!
Hosts are as amazing as others describe. Very thoughtful and kind. Cabin was comfortable and we enjoyed fires most nights right outside our cabin or down by the lake. The lakes and state parks nearby are truly incredible so the location was perfect for most of our day trips off property.

Great Getaway
We had 3 adults, 2 kids, a dog and an infant. We played and ate lunch at the pool, went kayaking at the lake and cooked smores under the stars at the fire pit. Our hostess was easy to reach and had everything we could have needed. Girls enjoyed playing pool and watching movies at night. There was a nice area by lake that we were able to hang out while girls played in the lake. Dollar general about 6 min away, heb about 10 min. Kayaks were in great shape and we did a couple trips on them. Beds were comfy and girls enjoyed the bunk beds. We are excited to try this place again in warmer weather!

Greatest experience ever
My husband and I were celebrating our one year anniversary, and we invited a few friends to join us. The cabin was absolutely phenomenal! Everything was provided for us and Judy was the most amazing host! We were so close to the lake and the kayaks were such a wonderful addition. We got on the water every day despite it being a little chilly. We made amazing dinners every night in the outdoor kitchen and sat around the fire at night. We will absolutely be back!

Much needed birthday getaway with family and friends!
Judy was amazing!She was ready and waiting for our arrival to give us a full tour of the property..which is awesome!The cabin was cute and clean and fully equipped with anything you could possibly need,but the 4 separate outdoor spaces were the best part!A fully equipped outdoor kitchen by a fountain in her beautiful garden is where we enjoyed breakfast everyday,and the patio off the main room with it's own BBQ pit,a lounging table and it's own fire pit is where we spent most of our time.But don't forget about the beautiful and secluded pool area that is open 24 hours and the lakefront area equipped with plenty of seating and another fire pit.They even provide the kayaks perfect for early morning trips on the lake.It was quiet and peaceful but we were still able to let loose and have fun.We absolutely had a blast!We can't wait to plan our next trip back and bring the kiddos and the doggies cuz this place is perfect for the whole family.Thank you to our wonderful hosts for making it so special and memorable!We will be back and can't wait to see you guys again!
