This was a 10-day work/vacation stay. I don't generally give poor reviews. I tried to work with Nova, told them what I'd rate them the 1st night, to no avail. It's a great neighborhood, great location but needs some maintenance and TLC. We have no issues with normal wear & tear, but it's a bit more than that. We walked in & found the handle to the microwave on the floor. An upstairs bathroom shower had barely any water coming out & the towel bar came apart. Another bathroom had the shower door handle come off. It needs a thorough cleaning. 1 example, there was garbage behind the master bedroom door. The theater room projector is not hooked up & has an electrical box hanging out of the ceiling. There was no mattress pad on the bed, no extra sheets, no hand towels in the bathrooms-though we did find some in a closet upstairs. Only 3 hangers in the house. 2 kitchen towels, no dishcloths, no baking sheets, no cookware big enough for a party of 10. Pans are so scratched that some you could not use. The internet router is on the ceiling upstairs & isn't very strong(we bought a relay). Outside there no cushions on the patio furniture which should obviously have cushions, except for chaise lounge. The pool heat quit working within a day. It took 4 days & several calls to get it fixed. The dishwasher broke on day 7, someone came to fix it & left, saying he'd be back the next day. He was not. I began communicating with customer service on the phone the 1st day & management thru email on VRBO. I wanted to work with them. We got a lot of lip service, but no real help. When they offered to have someone come out & I said yes, I could never get a time or date. CS stated it would not be a manager when I said I wanted a manager. I spoke with no one with authority in person. 1 day they claimed maintenance stopped by. They did not. Several people were at the house all day. I asked for a full refund & we did get the pool heat refunded. Plus $199 for our inconvenience -that's less than $20/person. This property has great potential, but the management company, Nova Vacations, is not helpful in the least. The house lists it sleeps 16, but they do not have what is needed for that many people. There were 17 bath towels -I know this because the property manager had me count them so they could tell housekeeping. It is not as advertised & it's a shame. With the right management they would really have something. Stay away from Nova Vacations. They are nice, but impotent.
