Host is the Best Ever
We stayed 2 nights. Arrived in a snow flurry. The host had heated the place so it was warm and cozy. It is a small apartment above Ron Martin realty. Dianne is the host and is the most kind accommodating person you could hope for. The place has a cabin feel with a living room, 2 bedrooms, a small efficiency kitchen area and a large bath. There are TVs in each bedroom and the living area. the living area has 2 couches and an easy chair. We definitely will stay here again given the opportunity.

The location to Lassen Volcanic National Park, Lake Almanor and other surrounding points of interest. Cabin itself was very clean, had anything that you could need for a pleasant stay and every comfortable.

Perfect place for us!
We have been coming to Chester for years, but our family has gotten too big to all stay together. This spot was PERFECT for us! Way more room than we expected, quiet, comfortable, and so restful. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location

comfortable, stay here!
very nice,two bedroom suite with a nice living room area, and small kitchen area ( microwave, refrigerator, sink) this really helped out, because of my wife's food allergies, so she could prepare some meals for herself. the owners were very nice and we found our stay to be very comfortable. we were very near good restaurants and the rest of the town was easily accessible. definitely recommend.

Great place!
We were visiting Lassen national Park in Sep and stayed in Chester. This place was great! It had plenty of space and a small kitchenette. It was in the heart of downtown and close to restaurants. I would definitely rent again.

Host was extremely gracious. She went out of her way to arrange for an electric kettle upon request! An electric tea kettle would be a nice addition to the great amenities. Would have been nice if there were curtains on the windows. Hard to sleep with all the gas-stations lights blaring through the windows. Also another simple but nice addition would be to add a partition to separate the bathing and toilet area from the vanity area of the bathroom. Overall a nice accommodation and experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Diane and Ron's place in Chester
The apartment was just perfect for our stay. We each had a nice bedroom with a large living room that my daughter was able to use for her out of the office work. A small kitchen area was just perfect for breakfast and lunch. Everything was spotless and the best I have ever stayed at. Diane was so accommodating even having Ron turn on their generator when the electricity went out in the whole town. If you are visiting Lassen National Park or Lake Almanor, this should be your first choice to stay.

Fabulous Little Place!
I was able to secure a last minute reservation over the Memorial weekend for this apartment, and I'm so glad I did! Check-in and communication was a breeze and the location was perfect for the event (craft fair) I was attending. Upon entrance, there is a steep stairway that wouldn't be suitable for those with mobility issues, but once up to the top, we were greeted with a clean and welcoming abode. The kitchenette had the basics (microwave, hotel fridge/freezer, sink, coffee maker) with a nice added touch of menus, and a basket of coffee fixings. The beds were comfortable, and it was nice to step out on the balcony in the evening. Although this was right on the main street, there was still some sense of privacy, with a decent sized parking lot and tree lending space away from the street. There was also a frosty shack next door for ice cream! We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable loft
Had a nice weekend in Almanor and enjoyed this space. Room for parking a boat and trailer. The heater kept us warm as we thawed out from a day fishing the lake. The shower had nice hot water. Complimentary coffee was pretty tasty, and the hosts are very kind people.

Five Star Plus++++ Suite in Chester!!!
Words cannot describe this tremendous suite in beautiful Chester!! We rented this property for a long weekend and everything was outstanding! Our host Dianne provided excellent communication prior to our stay and during our visit with a graceful and warm welcome! The suite was super clear throughout and there was not a spec of dust! It was furnished, fitting right into the scenic Lake Alamanor/Lassen NP region. It's conveniently located in Chester. The unit has three televisions and a great living room area with a deck. We rate this property as a 5 plus!!!!

One Suite Lodge Indeed!
The rental was exactly as advertised and exactly what we needed for our stay. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Check-in and check-out couldn’t have been any simpler. Ron and Dianne made sure we were well taken care of. Would definitely like to stay here again.

Downtown Chrster
Stayed for a long weekend to meet up with family friends in the Chester area. The loft is on main street within walking distance for groceries and some cute places to eat. The loft was spacious and clean. The kitchen area is not large, but we only prepared breakfasts so this wasn’t a problem. I really liked the deck that overlooked Main Street, but I didn’t expect the volume of traffic and the kid running the gas-powered leaf blower next door on the weekend mornings. There were no issues with traffic noise and sleeping as the 2 BRs were not facing Main Street. Overall I was very happy with our stay and will stay here again the next time we’re visiting the Chester area.

Very quaint and clean. Convenient location. It was nice having a separate living area from the bedrooms. Everything worked. We were very happy with our stay. We did have to go up a flight of stairs to get to the suite. It was fine for us but might be a problem for someone with physical issues.

Clean cozy and convenient

Great Chester Find
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this sweet place with its wide balcony, comfy beds, and great location. The layout was well thought out, and it was very clean and pleasantly furnished. The three tv’s were great with many sports and movie stations, and we could watch our different stations without bothering each other. The owners were friendly and helpful. Check in and out couldn’t have been smoother. We had easy access to Chester and Lake Almanor restaurants. We enjoyed dining at the Burger Depot, Plumas Pines Resort (where we could dine lakeside) and Tantardino’s. We were also close to our hiking trailheads at Lassen National Park and the Caribou Wilderness. We will definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay!
A very comfortable place to stay in Chester. Much better than a hotel room. The suite has great couches and reading chairs in the living room, two nice bedrooms and a mini-kitchen.

This is a 2 bedroom suite. it is not advertised as having a dishwasher, stove or washer/dryer.. We have no control over our internet provider. I apologize for the inconvenience, but thankful you could use your cell phone.

Spectacular!
The Martin's were wonderful hosts! We arrived to play in the snow and had a wonderful stay in Chester! The Martin's made sure to keep the driveway and walkway to the room plowed and shoveled so we could safely walk. The power went out and they were even wonderful enough to have a generator going so our stay was not hindered by no electricity, even though the rest of the town was out for almost a full day. The living quarters were adorable and very well kept. We loved our stay here and would love to come back again.

You guys were such good sports about dealing with a 5 feet of snow, The power outage and how difficult it is to maneuver around so much snow. Our stay at One Sweet Lodge was as comfortable as being in our own home!
Thankfully, One Sweet Lodge was the best part of our weekend. Our son got sick, so we ended up spending most of our time here. Large living room area with comfortable couches, a rocker/recliner, huge tv that sits on a table that converts to a writing desk and a small dining table that can seat 4. One of the couches is a futon that can provide additional sleeping space. With all that, the room is still spacious and has access to a long balcony for fresh air. The bedrooms are equally large and comfortable. We slept great. The kitchenette and bathroom were thoughtfully stocked with essentials... even wine glasses. Everything was very clean and well thought out to make sure guests have a pleasant stay. The location is on the main drag in Chester, but the traffic noise did not bother us and it was so convenient to all the hikes we wanted to do at Lassan. We will be back for sure! The only disappointment was the local restaurants we tried. The Locker Room across the street was horrible and the Copper Kettle only marginally better. Hope to make better choices next time.

And that you also had room to relax while you took care of him. We try and provide the things we enjoy when traveling, very happy to hear you had a pleasant stay. We are sad to hear about the restaurants, we would highly recommend Craven's, they serve a wonderful breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately they are closed for dinner. A perfect home away from home Near Lassen Park/Lake Almanor
This beautiful second floor apartment exceeded my expectations in every regard. Immaculately clean, very roomy, with exceptional woodworking on walls and ceilings throughout. I was on a solo hiking trip, but two couples, or a family, would be very comfortable in this large and well-appointed space. The owners are kind friendly folks who obviously take pride in what they have to offer. I recommend it 100%!

Everything we needed
Sweet little place. We were spending our days on the lake, so this was the perfect size to come home to sleep and spend the mornings. Close to restaurants, we would just walk over. The owner, Diane, was wonderful, responded quickly to any questions and was super friendly. The place was clean, well kept and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place
Great location, close to Lake Almanor, Lassen National Park, and surrounding towns like Westwood, Greenville, and Crecent Mills. We stayed for a week, very comfortable place, clean, and had great little extras like kleenex and coasters. We appreciated the small kitchen area as we made our breakfast each morning. Close to main road, some traffic noise, but earplugs took care of that. Dianne and Ron, the owners were very nice. We will definitely be back!

Home Away From Home
There were only 2 of us, but we enjoyed all the space. Having extra couches to sit on was perfect for reading. I loved all the little touches including coffee, tea, soaps, Kleenex, pictures, and coasters. I couldn't believe 3 TV's! It is in a great spot to drive around the lake and enjoy the picnic areas.

Great deal!
My friends and I were in town for the weekend for a wedding. We probably only spent ~ 8 waking hours in the actual suite, but it was well worth it. The price is much cheaper than the cost of lodging at the Best Western across the street and anywhere else in the vicinity. A couple of suggestions: 1) if you don't hear back from the owners via email or the VRBO app, try calling them. She contacted me back immediately. 2) The wifi typically kicked us off after ~20 mins. I would ask them if they can share the password to the other wifi to see if it's better. We weren't around much so the inconsistent connection didn't bother us, but it could for others. Otherwise, I had a great time.
