This is a very clean and cozy place to stay if you just want to reflect and relax by yourself.
I appreciated the folder of leaflets of places to visit in the area.
A good cooked breakfast cost an extra £7, and apart from check-in, it was the only time I saw the owners. I didn’t ask whether the lounge at the back was their own private room or for guests to use as well.
I had the very front room (4) next to the road, with its constant stream of traffic; a reminder that life goes on even after my bereavement.
The shower and toilet in this room are squeezed into a small space and they would be difficult to use if you are tall or large.
Parking, and unloading luggage, at the property is difficult. There are 2 tandem spaces on the narrow driveway and one parking space parallel to the front of the cottage, making it especially awkward if you have mobility issues. I did park for free on Church Road, a short walk away.
There are also 2 supermarkets and a restaurant nearby.
