MUY LAMENTABLE
Muy lamentable que solo estuviésemos un día, este hotel es un lugar simplemente espectacular, es un hotel “pequeño” en m2 pero en atención es enorme, Carlos nos dio una atención personalizad (literalmente) y don Jorge súper atento también. Las vistas inigualables, un lugar para descansar y cargar energías Definitivamente un lugar para volver

La ubicación excelente ,el lugar acogedor ,la vista impresionante pero el servicio y la comida nada buena y tuvimos que esperar tanto para la cena como para el desayuno 1hora demasiado ,no fue una buena experiencia.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family, John the General Manager was extremely accommodating. Rooms were very comfortable, staff very nice and overall, one of the best hotels we have stayed in.

El Castillo
Un bonito hotel con vista al mar y a una de las desembocaduras del Rio Terraba. Se encuentra en una colina pasando la carretera interamericana, no directamente al lado del mar. Sin embargo es un hotel pequeño con arquitectura española colonial, limpio con buen mantenimiento y muy apacible. La piscina bien alineada con una bella vista al mar. Exelente servicio; su administrador es muy agradable y accesible aunque no habla mucho español. Las habitaciones son espaciosas bien decoradas con aire acondicionado,coffe maker, refrigeradora y caja de seguridad, acceso gratuito a wifi; PERO NO TIENEN TV!!!Buenos desayunos en cantidad y variedad (incluidos). A 5 min en carro playa tortuga a 7 min playa ventanas a 10min parque nacional Bahía Ballena a 15 min varias cataratas...un lugar para descansar...

Fantástica. El hotel es muy pequeño, casi una casa grande con 5 habitaciones. Las de los extremos son suites las 3 del medio son idénticas pero sin una zona de salón. Las habitaciones están bine, sin ser de gran lujo. Lo que realmente merece la pena del hotel son las vistas. Todas las habitaciones tiene vistas al oceáno. Espectacular desayunar o comer con esas vistas, no te cansas de mirar. Quizá faltan detalles en la habitacion: tv, y secador. Eramos los únicos clientes y el trato fue exquisito (nos dieron una suite, no habiéndola reservado). Recomendable por vistas y cerca del parque nacional marino Ballena. Salen excusrsiones a Corcovado desde un pueblito cercano: Uvita y algo más lejos Sierpe

Gorgeous view with the friendliest staff! We had a perfect stay here. It was so quiet, so relaxing. The pool & view are spectacular . Honestly, the staff was so kind & helpful. We had both dinner and breakfast here which were both delicious! Highly recommend!

The resort itself is quite beautiful. The infinity pool was gorgeous. Dining room was wonderful. The chef is outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. The room was gorgeous. We didn't rent a car however, and it was very inconvenient to get anywhere. You can't really go walking because the place itself is on a very high hill with very steep roads around it

We loved the uniqueness of El Castillo and how well taken care of we were during our stay. It was an enjoyable vacation, very relaxing and the food was delicious! The view is spectacular and it is close to beautiful beaches in the area. We highly recommend because the staff was so helpful and friendly!

Classic Beauty!
Stunningly beautiful hotel with classic Old World feel. Friendly, charming staff. Fabulous location with the best view in Ojochal from the pool, deck and ocean view rooms. Great food. I particularly loved the afternoon coffee and cookies. I 100% adored this hotel. It’s absolutely charmingly perfect!

This is one of the best hidden places you can stay at in uvita area. I loved the rooms, the epic views, and the people working there especially the manager. She’s very helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

The property was spectacular with gorgeous views. The parking was not sufficient and I was asked twice to move my vehicle. I detected sewage smell in the night and that was a big turnoff. It was noisy with a big group visiting when we stayed. I expected more for the price. The staff were outstanding.

Amazing top of the hill location
The property has amazing views and the staff are engaged and friendly. Many are from the local area as the hotel has a policy of training them which is a great idea. It did make for some funny moments but it was never a problem. Rooms are big, clean and very comfortable. Food is some if the best we had in Costa Rica.

This is one of the best service experiences I have ever had at a hotel. Strongly recommend this hotel. It is also a beautiful property with really nice rooms and a stunning view.

My husband and I felt so comfortable and welcomed at El Castillo. The staff was excellent!. Starting with Steve who greeted us the first day and was there throughout our stay. He was very polite and always willing to help. Luis and Rebecca the manager were also very helpful and offered advice and help with every question. We had our laundry done there, and they had it back to us the next day. Food was excellent and drinks delicious. The pool and living area are lovely. We loved the views from the pool and our room balcony. Love this place!

First the hotel is OVER 4 hours from the airport… just so you know. However, it’s is very quaint. It’s more like a couple haven if you want to get away n have some alone time. There is NO tv in the rooms. Room is well kept, nice and smells fresh. The staff is very nice. Hotel is very small about 9 or so rooms. The food is good, presentation is amazing. They will give you information about doing different tours n will also set them up… lastly, the view is breathtaking, one of the most beautiful I have seen.

The El Castillo Hotel was our favorite of all the 5 hotel's we stayed in over a 2 1/2 week vacation in Costa Rica. The minute we entered the beautiful lobby, the view almost knocked me over! The furnishings are so welcoming, then the infinity pool grabs your eyes looking like it flows to the ocean! The manager, Rebeca Villalobos has such a helpful, friendly yet professional staff who make sure your every need is met. Luis, Nicole and Sidely were wonderful, as everyone was. We stayed in Room 5, corner second floor, and the view of the Pacific and surrounding jungle like greenery and flowers were magical! The furnishings beautiful and all 3 of our rooms were spotless. There are only 9 rooms and none close to each other so we never heard another guest. It seemed the desire here was for peace and tranquility and that was obvious. This hotel was at the end of our trip and we had been on many tours throughout Arenal, Monteverde and Manuel Antonio so we never left the El Castillo enjoying all our delicious meals there and spending most time around the quiet pool or walking the grounds. We were sad that our trip was ending but were even more sad to leave this place of Paradise, the El Castillo. I hope we will return one day. With gratitude and thanks for the memories!
