The suite with kitchen was very nice and roomy. Sofa needs to be replaced. Ripped fabric. Only negative in room. Staff excellent. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and had better experiences, but this time we were given a room that needed some light renovations. Furniture was a little dingy and in need of replacement (including the toilet seat). Other than that our stay was good. Room was spacious and breakfast in the morning was tasty.

We visited College Station for the NSC at Texas A&M. We stayed at this place but it not a very clean hotel. The sofa in the room was riped off and full of nasty stains. Gross. Breakfast options are very limited. If you are in a budget it ok. Stull you can find better options out there.

I am extremely disappointed in our room. It smells like a men’s locker room. The furniture is old outdated, and stained with what looks like urine. They changed us to another room, however, it still smells like mold, and still looks uncleanly.

We were in town for the A&M class graduation, so the location was close enough to the ceremony. Our room was clean, but the toilet seat looked terrible. The Hawthorn would benefit from spending some money on updates.

The price point was fair. Facility is tired-needs paint/carpet refresh. Staff friendly. Functional for the price. Neighbors plumbing very noisy.

The room was definitely not as pictured. The overall cleanliness of the room was extremely poor. Many stains and a large tear on the couch. Mattress on the pull out sofa was very uncomfortable and made sleeping almost impossible.

The staff was very helpful with us. After a request for an AC filter change, the front desk lady came and noticed our room had a slight smell, so she moved us to another room on her own merit. That's great customer service. The older lady in charge of the breakfast was amazing. She really puts her heart and soul into the food she prepares. It was a great stay, we will definitely come back again!

The room did not seem clean. It might just be that it was outdated, but there was a musty smell that didn't seem to go away. Staff at check in was not even slightly friendly. Check out staff was much better. Not a place I am likely to stay again. Not because any specific experience. Just unimpressed.

All was good except they did not clean my room on Saturday morning. My event didn’t start until 11:00 so when housekeeping knocked I answered and she went to another room. No I didn’t want her in there while I was getting dressed. When I returned to change that evening my room hadn’t been cleaned so as I left for another event I let the lady at the desk know and she told me that since I didn’t let her clean at that time my room would not get cleaned and sure enough when I returned later that night it wasn’t so I will not make reservations there again.

Comfortable clean and kind people!
After a failed attempt at another hotel, we found this hotel and within five minutes had a mini sweet booked. Staff was kind friendly and welcoming. Location to everything was perfect as we were there on a Texas A&M college tour. Breakfast was good hotel is a little dated however, they are gearing up for a complete Ovation. Had a fabulous day!

This experience was amazing! the hotel was clean and they left more than enough toiletries everyday. There were a few lights bulbs out that i needed to ask for new ones. Also not the Outdoor pool is on the NorthEast side of the hotel, and therefore in the shade, which makes the water cold quickly. The Breakfast is amazing. There is plenty of parking. They have a Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby.

Hotel Needs a Major Update!
This hotel is just okay. It needs major updating! Room was very small with plastic fabric couch that made noise every time you move. Bathroom had mold on walls and was so small you can't open/shut the door without standing to the side because the door sweeps right up to the toilet. Bed had sunken spots where people sleep. TV's are the size of a computer monitor. Breakfast was fine and employees were great, very friendly and helpful.

Terrible
First the toilet overflow into the living room, and water was everywhere, so we was moved to another room , and then to wake up to a horrible breakfast with no meat and cold food , no fruits and no meat. Customers bringing animals to eat in the dining area , what a joke of a hotel. To spend top dollar for a room and get the service we had was terrible.

Convenient to TAMU. Hotel sits back from roadway, so it is quiet. Breakfast buffet has everything you need, but the layout is awkward. You have to look for utensils, condiments, etc, but it is all there.

Honestly, the staff makes it shine. One thing however, there was not one usb charging plug around, not on the lamps, clock or wall outlets. Come on... in this day and age... really?? Such a simple, low cost fix to make. And in a handicap room please have a convenient place for towel NEAR the shower/tub. Thanks.

Great location
Beds were very comfortable. Lots of different types (firmness) of pillows on each bed. Location to campus was excellent (maybe 10 mins to athletics area and less than 5 to shopping/restaurant/bar area). Staff was very friendly. We were able to check in early. Rooms showed some wear and tear, but mostly cosmetic which didn't affect us at all.

Staff was great. Loved the 2 room suite. We got a great deal on the room for 2 nights during an ice storm. The breakfast was awful, but we brought our own & the room had a microwave & refrigerator.

clean but too strong an odor.
all the staff were awesome. great location. very clean looking, but did not smell clean. a friend arrived 2 hours earlier. when he came down to meet me I was so happy to see him. Big impression was he smelled like he purchased and overapplied some cheap cologne. We went out and had dinner and that smell persisted. upon arriving to my room, after supper, I realized that the room smelled just like him. Whatever you are using to "freshen" the air is too oily and way over powering. So much so that it was hard to sleep that night with to strong odor. wrong choice, or over application, not sure which. Clorox wipes smell better and cleaner...not just a cover up smell over smell. Again, it was everything and more one would want in an overnight stay; just too much smell. Enough so that I will look for some place else to stay next time.
