Perfect peaceful getaway
Was everything I was looking for and then some! Double deck with the best views and the stars at night! Peaceful and saw lots of birds, squirrel and chipmunk! The house was amazing, clean and the bear decor , my kids played pool all night during the stay. Was awesome

Great View
We had a great stay at this home. Great deck, with a great view. Plenty of space. Getting into the driveway there was a large bump from water erosion but other than that no problems.

Perfect!
From the moment we walked in, the cabin felt like home. The view from both levels of the deck was breathtaking! Every room was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials for cooking. Each day ended with a nice meal and a few games of pool. We hated to leave. We will definitely stay at this cabin if we are in the area again. It was a perfect addition to our amazing vacation!

The very best view .
My wife and I and another couple enjoyed this VRBO for few days at the end of August. This was a very nice house with plenty of room for everyone. It was clean with plenty of supplies. The view out the back off the deck was absolutely stunning. The deck was very spacious with two levels. We saw deer and chipmunks and a bear from the deck in the distance. We also saw another bear crossing the road in front of us while heading for the house. The big boulders sitting around are very interesting too. The altitude at about 9100 feet takes some getting use to.

Needs updating, great views
Very dated, wonderful view, extremely cluttered. Long dirt road to get to property. Management folks very good and responsive. This does not reflect on the property, but we are seniors that live at about 900 foot elevation at home. This property sits at 9200 ft. Altitude is debilitating after a few days. Our fault. Biggest plus is the amazing view from the back deck which could only be improved by having some decent chairs to sit there.

The home is thoughtfully decorated by the owners for the enjoyment of all. Upon entering the community, the majority of the road is paved. The homes with larger private lots are located on the upper, unpaved portion of the road. They are well maintained and easy to navigate year round. We encourage all of our guests to hydrate during their stay in the higher elevations and hope that they will find the outdoor furniture to be suitable for guests of all ages. Weekend of fishing

Bear lodge
Very nice cabin with a great view from the deck. Property was as advertised. Very clean and well equipped. Comfortable. No issues with anything. Very quiet and peaceful. Check in was simple. Needs a tinhorn on the driveway. Fairly deep drainage ditch across entrance. Internet was fine. I would definitely recommend this property with one caveat: according to my phone the cabin is at 9120 feet. We did not tolerate the altitude very well, but we are from Oklahoma and live at 970 feet. We did better on day 2 and 3. Just be aware of the altitude. I still give the property 5 stars and would recommend it. Saw a gray fox, chipmunks?, and deer near the cabin. Antelope just off the main road. A little over an hour to Royal gorge and under an hour to pikes peak.

Colorado Getaway
We were looking for a place where we could meet up with our adult children and Serinity at Bear Lodge was perfect. We had plenty of space to visit and enjoy the view but we were also close enough to Florissant, Divide and Manitou Springs to enjoy those towns also. We would definitely stay here again. Everything was ready for us when we arrived and Mike and Ellen answered all our questions during the booking process and afterwards.

4 nights in Florissant
Great area to relax and slow down life for a little while. Many things to do in the area or just stay in the lodge and enjoy the view. We highly recommend this house for any group or family. The only negative is it is not big enough for more than 6 adults. It would be great for families of 8, but a little too small for 7-8 adults. Other than that, it was a great house in a beautiful area of Colorado.

The listing doesn’t show the amazing views!!
This place was perfect for my husband and I to stay for our elopement in Colorado Springs, we actually had another place booked and had to cancel 16hrs before because the other listing didn’t say the person was just renting the basement instead of whole house and we’re lucky to find this property, check in/check out was easy and views were amazing. Little tip, have your check in code in your notes or written down, you may not get good service until you connect to Wi-Fi!

Mother's Day retreat
We chose this location by proximity to Colorado Springs in order to visit with our son and daughter-in-law. The drive to the location was absolutely breathtaking. The solitude and peacefulness of the location is a 10/10. The home was cozy and not too far a drive from necessities. I would absolutely recommend and stay again.

Amazing view!
My husband and I stayed at the Serenity Bear Lodge for a long 3 day weekend . The view of the mountains from the back deck and also from the living room and master bathroom are breathtaking ! If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy peace and quiet this is it !

Oasis in the mountains
The property is beautiful. The view is stunning and the stars at night are amazing! The property managers are great to work with. They answered all of my questions in a timely manner. We had one small issue that was taken care of by them right away. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the house itself does need some updating and because there are so many little knickknacks, there was a lot of dust everywhere. Overall, it was a nice place to stay.

Beautiful location
It was an awesome area to visit. We saw lots of deer up close. The house is well appointed and looks like your Grannie’s house might. The managers were very easy to contact and they were very responsive to our texts. My daughter said their bed was not real comfortable but no one else said anything.

Amazing Cabin Getaway!
My spouse and I spent several days at this location, and it was everything we were hoping it would be and more. The cabin itself is a beautifully maintained residence that has everything you might need to feel right at home. There was a guest book that provided excellent advice and tips on anything we might have needed to know such as altitude sickness, hiking trails and other local recommended sights, and even tips in the kitchen relative to the climate. There was everything we might have needed to cook with in the kitchen, the living area is large and spacious, the master suite is very roomy and comfortable; by the end of the week we felt so comfortable and at home we hated to leave. The pictures really do not do this property any justice, the view from the back porch alone is just breathtaking. Although we spent almost all of our time just relaxing on the property, the cabin is relatively central to a number of tourist attractions such as Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods down in Colorado Springs, as well as several small towns with restaurants and grocery stores within a 30 to 60 minute drive. The cell phone service was spotty at best, but the cabin Wi-Fi really is not too bad, we were even able to stream video on a laptop and watch an NFL game on the satellite tv. We were somewhat worried about how difficult it would be to access the cabin in a 2-wheel drive vehicle, but the dirt roads were well maintained and easily accessible. This more so has to do with the climate and not the cabin itself, but I will say that we did not prepare well enough for the altitude change coming from a much lower altitude, but with the tips provided in the guestbook and a quick trip down to Walgreens we acclimatized relatively quickly. We just loved this property and already want to plan to come back with friends and/or family! If you are looking for a remote stay to get away from everything, with beautiful views, amazing countryside, and a number a relatively local attractions, please do yourself a favor and book this property, this cabin is easily a 5-star gem!

Serenity at Bear Lodge
Perfect place to stay to explore Pike National Forest, Florissant National Monument, Woodland Park, and Cripple Creek yet have a secluded property. Home is cozy with an excellent floor plan. It’s a family home with lots of photographs, needlework, and bear decor. Well stocked kitchen. One of few properties in area that allows dogs but note dogs are not allowed on trails in state parks, ok in national park. Has internet but we often were limited to one device at a time for adequate service. Only disappointment was limited shade on the beautiful porch. Views were spectacular of mountains and lake during day and stars at night.
