Home interior was 56 degrees when we arrived. Turns out the thermostat requires wifi connection to function, which we resolved ourselves. Security alarm chimed every 60 seconds the entire time we were at the property, it could not be disabled. Host was aware of this issue prior to our arrival based on their report that they had lowered the volume as much as possible and could not otherwise solve the problem. Property host was attentive to messages about the issues but was overall unhelpful in resolving them. When we requested to depart the property for a refund about an hour into trying to make the heat work, no information on how to do that was provided. When we did depart the property early, I was informed we couldn’t receive refund for two reasons: 1. We did not depart before the checkout time. 2. I had not provided sufficient photographic evidence of the sound of the security alarm going off every 60 seconds, apparently the video was not sufficient. We did receive a refund of 1 night of our stay, which was better than nothing, but not in my opinion the right solution given that we vacated the property less than 24 hours after arriving. Excluding those issues, the property was fine.
