Can’t say I liked anything. Paid $180 for one night for the three bed room that wasn’t clean, pulled all the sheets back to find hair all in them, hair in the sink, dust all over the counter, chair was all ripped up, there was excessive amounts of hand prints on the head boards like people were doing you know what, and the floors don’t get me started with how dirty those were. We threw the towel down on the ground after the shower and scooted next to the bed with it and the whole towel was yellow brown. The only good thing I can say is I asked the front to have someone change the sheets which he said they would. Came back from fishing and they did look cleaning until I pulled the sheet all the way back just to see hair at the feet again. The rate is just crazy for something I could’ve got nicer somewhere else. We planned a last minute trip to port Aransas and this one was one of the only few left available for that day. Won’t be back.

When entering the room the back of the doors and walls looked dirty. Should have turned around and left. Cold shower and woke in the morning to a cockroach in the sink.

Absolutely horrible property. I was planning to stay just one night but I ended up checking out early and going elsewhere. The property is outdated and poorly mantained, outlets don’t work, bathrooms need work. The motel is infested with German cockroaches and bed bugs.

This is a small family, friendly motel with a very courteous staff. I definitely recommend staying here.

The pelican Inn has all the feel of a small hotel, with all the accommodations of a big hotel. Conveniently locate in the center of everything. You can be in Port Aransas in 30 minutes.

Disgusting, Moldy, unsanitary conditions beware
This place needs to be shut down by the health department. Avoid at all cost. Spend the extra $10-20 & find a place that’s actually decent enough to not leave poop in the toilet, rotten food in the fridge, dirty filthy grimey floors, full of mold from the pillows to the ceiling. Had to spend money at Walmart just to sleep there. Bought a mattress cover, pillow, blanket because the bed was so filthy, broom, mop, bleach because I couldn’t walk on the floor without my slides getting grimey. If you have socks they will turn black. Then to comeback from Walmart & some guy with face tattoos is cleaning the room mopping the floors stirring the dirt around with an oily sticky chemical that made it worst & then still left the rotten food in the fridge. Asked the manager for a refund for the remaining 6 days of my stay & they refused. Then kick you out for showing them pics of how bad it is. Any platform that promotes this place should be a shame to do business with them. I never write reviews but this place took the cake for one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. I’m working night shift construction & was waiting for my first payday to find a nicer place so I tried to book one more day after spending $400 for the 7days that they wouldn’t refund. I go to the office show the guy all the pics of the mold and dirt to see if I could at least get discount and he refused to let me book 1more night. So tired from work I just wanted to sleep now I gotta wait till 3pm check in elsewhere

Good inexpensive hoel
The room was newly renovated. Very clean. Absolutely no information on amenities, how to find channels on the TV or the legally required cost range information. Management needs to carefully go through all the rooms and address these missing items.

Do Not Waste Your Time or Money
I booked this a month out from our family trip. I purchased a single king for 2 nights. It was rather pricey but I didn’t mind. We checked in and I was told half of the rooms had been remodeled and if I wanted to upgrade to a deluxe room I had to pay another fee per night. I definitely wanted to upgrade by the looks of the other rooms even from the outside. The room we upgraded to had mildew stains on the bed and the room had a horrible moldy mildew smell. The first night we were there we had a man that was really high on drugs harassing everyone and he ended up getting body slammed right in front of our room door/window. He was literally fighting the cops. I would not recommend this room to anyone. I didn’t feel safe nor comfortable. It was not very clean and not worth the upgrade fee.

Nasty place
Want to pay over the phone due to not being able to to make it the fist night but frend was, they would not allow that.Place was no clean had bed bug. TV had no signal after complaining to front desk it magicly started working. Did not stay the 2nd night.

Below expectations
I know this was a cheaper choice in hotels, but the condition of the room was below expectations. Lights that didn't work. Bathroom wall holes and unpainted patches. Bathroom fixtures broken or missing. No ice in the ice machine.

There were no close food places in the area. The room it self was super dirty.. Stains and hair on all the sheets. Towels were still damp. I had to ask for dry towels so we could shower, Dirt all over the floors.

I booked a room through you and got there and the manager told me I had no reservation so I went to another hotel and got a room. Then they charged me for the room anyway. So the pelican hotel owes me 302 dollars.

Ok for the price
Staff and owner were super friendly and checked me in right away. The only thing is the rooms and shower are a bit old and the room wasn’t that clean. Might need new renovations.

There were roaches in the bathtub, mold along edges of bathtub. Stains on headboard of bed, drawers broken and missing handles. Toilet barely flushed. We left about 30 minutes after arriving because we felt so unsafe in this place with other people yelling just outaide our room
