Dogs aren't expensive at Langstone however they don't offer anything for the £8pn. The next hotel we went to put out a dog bed, treats & water bowl but at £15. At Langstone we were given an A4 sheet on dog regs. My husband & I ate in the restaurant on the first night; the veggie food is run of the mill. At breakfast the veggie sausages are almost 'special needs' at the bottom of the page '*available on request'. Dry & tasteless as were the veggie burgers we had in the bar the next night. The 'mature' waitresses were great, there was a younger one who didn't seem to want to be there. We used the pool, you need to book a slot & it was lovely; clean & warm! The second night the fire alarm went off at 2.20am ish, the young man managed the situation alone & well. We evacuated the hotel, it could have been colder in Oct & after about half an hour we went back to our room. We were just getting back to sleep over an hour later & the alarm went off again. Back outside. On return we had tea & tried to sleep at about 5.30am anticipating the alarm may go off again. In the morning my husband was tired & didn't fancy hot breakfast & ate a piece of toast! I was yawning & pale at checkout. No mention of the disturbance! When I raised it with the receptionist she said would have to ask (no mask) Mark who asked me what I wanted (a decent nights sleep!). I took the £40 off he gave me but was made to feel greedy & a nusiance. I think they could have 'owned' the situation & be more customer led.
