This hotel was extremely filthy. There were stains all over the floor and walls. The bathroom was so dirty, with the sink, toilet, and floors almost black in color. Service was zero! They brought one dirty towel for me and my husband to share. When we asked for a second towel - we were told it be delivered right away. The second towel never did get delivered. The light in the elevator did not work. When we complained the staff told us they were waiting on an electrician. It seems bizarre to us, in a country with over one billion population, you cannot find an electrician! There were always at least four men just sitting around in the lobby area but apparently no one had time to clean the hotel rooms or lobby. I would strongly recommend not staying at this hotel!! It is very difficult to just find a new hotel in India due to transportation issues, so we continued our stay at this hotel but would never, never return or recommend!

This hotel is located in a very busy area in Paharganj, so be prepared for noise and honking. I knew what I was getting into when booking this hotel so the noise didn't bother me and I put in earplugs every night and slept soundly. I enjoyed having so many shops and food options within meters of the hotel. That being said, this was the worst hotel experience I've had in my life, and I've traveled to over 20 countries and 30 states in the US. The moment I checked in, the front desk worker called his English speaking colleague. The English speaker invited me to go sari shopping. I had thought about getting a sari for Taj Mahal so I agreed. He brought me to a location where they sell saris for $500. This is a scam, you can find plenty of saris at markets for $10. After the sari shopping experience, he said he'd bring me to a rooftop for drinks. Of course I thought this meant a rooftop bar or restaurant. No, instead he brings me to an unoccupied rooftop of a nearby hotel (he must have known the owner or a worker there). The rooftop was completely dark with no one there and clearly not a bar or restaurant. I was extremely uncomfortable, and I'm just thankful I never got raped in India. Horrible experience, I do not recommend this hotel for anyone. They will try to scam you and also bring you to shady places. Please be careful and select a different hotel to stay at.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever check in to. Don’t even think about staying here. I didn’t even stay 30 minutes packed up and left immediately if you are in India stay at Welcomhome Hotel is filthy dirty sheets dirty bathroom dirty floor dirty dust everywhere nothing is nice about this place THE WORST!!! I ask for a refund they refused but it’s ok they need the money to fix the rat trap up!!!

The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.

This hotel is very conveniently located at paharganj walking distance from New delhi railway station. Hotel ambience is good with good restaurants nearby. They also have a kitchen that provide food on your request. Rooms are clean, cozy, bathrooms well maintained. Staffs are good especially Praveen is extremely well behaved and helpful. They provided me 2hour early check in which was of great help. Overall a nice stay. will surely come back in future.

The pictures are a bit misleading. You expect a different experience when staying in a poorer neighborhood in Delhi, but I'll say ... the lobby was dim. The room was dirty and it did not seem as thought the blankets folded in a closet they gestured at when they let us in had been washed. One of them had lipstick stains on it. The sink in the bathroom leaked from above if we turned the tap on full blast below. The AC unit was controlled remotely from downstairs. The window just didn't really close all the way, and the elevator didn't seem to have a safety stop mechanism on the door. The room was adequate if you aren't too precious about the cleanliness, but if you're expecting anything like an American hotel ... think again.

They gave us single bed room when we booked family suite with them. When we called it out they had the audacity to tell us talk Expedia as we will do what we want. The room was utter disgusting, no cleanliness, no towel provided, a/c wasn’t working, Cherry on the top - rude hotel staff and owner

I was disappointed with my recent stay at the hotel, as the reality did not meet the expectations set by the online pictures. The entrance to the hotel is located in a dimly lit alley that felt unsafe, and we were met by several stray dogs upon arrival. Unfortunately, the hotel lacks an elevator, which may be inconvenient for some guests. The overall appearance of the place seemed unclean and in need of repairs, with visible signs of wear and tear throughout the property. Our room was not up to standard, with stained and torn bed linens, a ripped couch, and a bathroom that needed a deep cleaning. We also experienced issues with the amenities, such as a lack of hot water and an air conditioner without a remote. Due to concerns about safety, we felt compelled to secure our room door with a coffee table. Overall, I would advise potential guests to consider these issues when booking, as our experience was far from satisfactory.

I booked the family suite but when we arrived we were told that family room is not available. Though he gave us two rooms which have non standard quality of mattress. Have to agree as we were tired and didn’t have any energy to hunt for another hotel. Also have to ask for soap, towels and other basic hotel accessories. Next time please give us the room we booked.

Expedia has this hotel mixed-up with another hotel (Jyonti Mahal) around 1 km away. This means that you might book one but actually have a reservation at the other. In our case we booked Jyonti twice, enjoyed a nice stay but when we returned the second time, they didn't have our reservation. After two hours on the phone with Expedia, we worked out that our booking was at the Atlanta. Expedia really dropped the ball on this one and did very little to help us out.

Disappointing / horrible
That saying “you get what you pay for” is the perfect way to describe this hotel. I was very disappointed from the second I checked into my room. Felt more like a box, no windows, the room smelt terribly, the bathroom still had hair on the walls. There was no hair dryer and when one was provided i was told I needed to wait cause someone else was using it? How don’t they have enough for the entire property. When it was given to me, it was more like a toy than an actual hair dryer. There was no power to it. The AC unit, you cannot turn ON yourself you need to have the staff do it for you from downstairs. The phone in my room did not work either, so every issue I constantly had to go downstairs and speak to someone. From the the first night to my last I was constantly having people trying to come into my room and when I addressed the issue I was told from the staff that “the kids are only 14 years old” un acceptable and when I asked to change rooms I was told no. I was told by a few locals that the area of the hotel is not safe and why i booked here as a “tourist”. By the end of my stay I was so disturbed and inconvenienced that I decided to leave and book for another hotel! So, save your time and money and book elsewhere. I do not recommend this hotel.

They picked us from the airport on time and the driver was very polite towards us. The check in process was completely smoothly. The stay was pleasent, rooms were neat and clean and service was top notch

The manager, Rahul helped us with buying train tickets to Agra, he arranged a car with driver for a Delhi tour at a good price. Breakfast was good, and hotel was itself a very unique and India royal old architecture.

Not recommend for Family
Our room had fan with no regulator , AC working at its own temperature, service bit mentioned to take blanket if it’s cold or remove it if it’s hot but he cannot fix. Room phone was not working so you cannot contact reception at ease and walk down every time 3 floors to call someone or get something done. No help with anything that’s ordered from outside getting to your room , had to carry utensils myself 3 floors as they don’t support, balcony was dirty with water leaking continuously. Overall had a pretty bad experience and would not recommend for a family with kids at this price range.

Det här är ett billigt hotell i centrala delar av Delhi (Paharganj), vilket är viktigt att komma ihåg, men medelbetyget här är definitivt för högt. Hotellet i sig är inte så fint som på bilderna, och är slitet, men därmed även rätt charmigt. Det är mycket läckra detaljer i arkitekturen och klassisk inredning. Med rätt enkla förbättringar skulle de kunna göra det riktigt bra. Vi hade bokat ett lite finare rum, och det var stort och rymligt, men slitet och gammalt. Hyggligt rent, men med fläckar på lakan osv som kan förbättras. Wi-Fi:t var fungerande men dåligt, och borde kunna förbättras. AC:n var vi tvungna att säga till om för att den skulle börja fungera. Det fanns ingen kontroll till den. Borde även det kunna fixas. När vi sade till fick vi dock snabb hjälp. Badrummet hade ingen duschkabin, så när du duschade blev hela badrummet blött. I övrigt fungerade varmvattnet osv, även om duschen i sig var gammal. Det var ganska lyhört och vi fick betala extra för att betala vistelsen med kort. Frukosten ingick inte och var så där, men hade ändå flera alternativ. Frukosten serverades utomhus på taket, vilket var en rätt fin plats. Personalen hjälpte till när vi behövde hjälp, men det var mycket personal och ganska rörigt. Svårt att veta vilka som jobbade exempelvis. Vi hade beställt en taxi till hotellet från flygplasten, men fick vid ankomst till flygplatsen veta att taxin fått punktering... så det kom ingen taxi med andra ord. Charmigt, men mycket kan förbättras.
