Wonderful
Great stay, better than other Embassy Hilton hotels I've stayed before, staff is friendly and breakfast + burger shop are good. It also has a bar for cocktails, you need to take it all to your room since COVID.

Great property. Undergoing construction. Rugs in common area around conßtruction zone need to be properly taped down to avoid incident of tripping which occurred. Business center needs to be reopened as a convenience to customers.

Construction moved the entrance around to the side door and removed half the lobby; noise from jackhammer was so load you couldn't communicate and it was at dangerous levels. I get that the work had to get done but you could not use the lobby and common area from 10 to 5. Had we known we would have gone elsewhere.

The hotel had no record of our reservation from Expedia, so check-in was a mess. The desk clerk was rude and not helpful. Luckily the manager on duty overheard the conversation and helped resolve the issue. I’m not certain who dropped the ball (Embassy Suutes, Expedia or both), but we were traveling with elderly parents, so it made the situation very difficult. To top things off, there was a jackhammer running as they were remodeling the entryway, so you could not hear yourself think while trying to check-in. The rooms are nice, but the process to get the room was a joke.

I believe that the tax should be explained before purchase, and I was also. I didn't know there was an occupancy tax, I'm just starting to travel a bit and a different incidental hold amount when I arrived. But I'll be more prepared next time, I would definitely revisit.

It was a great stay for the weekend. The breakfast was very delicious. I would stay here again. The rooms were clean and spacious.

We always like Embassy Suites because it accommodates large families,it is clean and it has the best breakfast.Of all the Embassy suites I have been with this Embassy suites has the best breakfast buffet ever.Why? The omelette special with jalapeño,bacon and cream cheese is the bomb,the pancake was very buttery,the coffee taste so good.I would go back to Detroit just to have a weekend stay in this hotel.There was just a delay in the shuttle but they said sorry and gave me extra Hilton points.But the experience of eating the breakfast I would give it a 10 star,the chef was the star.

It was loud trucks I think dumping the trash bins outside around 3-4am!!!!! I couldn’t sleep at all through the night bc I kept getting woken up by people running the water or the trucks outside!!!! I heard the trucks 2 days while i was there and I was there for 3 days and they came at 3-4am. So horrible then the maids cleaned my room but left no drying towels for shower. When I tried to get in touch with front desk no answer multiple times

Room adjacent to and with a shared window with the pool was odd. However room was spacious and well equipped. Staff helpful and free breakfast was very good.

My experience at this location was amazing my first time to Detroit I am so glad I chose to stay here. Check in was a breeze I was able to check in early my room was so nice and very clean the continental breakfast was good the staff was very friendly and helpful I hope to stay here again when I do return.

Disappointing.
When I checked in I asked the receptionist if the pool/hot tub was still opened since it was a long day of traveling. She said it was and even pointed out the location for me. I immediately went to my room and change into my trunks and proceeded to the hot tub. Only moments after entering the pool room the security guard bust in and started SCREAMING at me that it was closed. I tried to calmly explain that the girl at the front..... "GET OUT" He kept interrupting me shouting for me to get out, it didn't matter, he didn't care, he's the "head of security". I wasn't even given the opportunity to speak over his shouting and obsession over his authority. It was really a pretty awful experience, and all I wanted was to quietly soak in a hot tube for a few minutes after a long day and a headache. Also, there was no shampoo in the room. They have these dispensers attached to the wall in the shower, which obviously aren't filled regularly. For a "suite" at a higher end hotel, and as a Hilton Honors Member, I was really disappointed.

The room was right next to the HVAC system which was very noisy. The bed was hard very uncomfortable.

I would stay again
Service was great, staff helpful and friendly. Parking easy and plentiful. Room was clean, although issue with shower door not closing while taking shower. Pool was busy. Breakfast was really good. Overall Excellent stay and should be for the price.
