as advertised very clean host responded to problem stopped up kitchen drain disposal not working kitchen was a little light on utensil/pot and pans coffee maker had not been cleanes in sometime basket was full of used grounds had mold in basket

Excellent Choice
This was an awesome place. It was a great location, clean, quiet, had all of the needed amenities, and the owners had great communication. If you like to fish, this place had a private fishing pier, and we caught redfish, sheephead, flounder, and even crabs. Would stay again.

This was an exceptional experience! The home was inviting, clean, and well equipped inside and out. The pier and back patio set the stage for fun and relaxation and the fishing was such an added attraction. Evan, our host was a great communicator and made the entire stay simple. Highly recommend a stay at this gem!

Great short trip
Really enjoyed our stay of 3 nites. Would've liked more time there if it had been possible. Honestly was the best stocked vacation home we have stayed in. Ran into a mess of fish including one that nearly broke our pole and actually straightened out the hook. Can't wait toll the next time. Thanks Evan

Beautiful sunsets on the Bay
Our family had a great stay with crabbing, fishing, beautiful sunsets, & relaxing on the bay. The only 2 things I can complain about is the blender didn’t work. We had to order ourselves, & have it delivered to the house when we arrived. We do like to enjoy a cold cocktail while on vacation. And I didn’t like the large trash can out front of home, full of smelly garbage from the previous booking before us. We did notify the owner of these 2 complaints. The beds & furniture was comfy & cozy. I like the layout of the inside & decor.,the cold a/c, very nice covered patio-outdoor sink, the large gated grassy back yard, & of course the long fishing pier with beautiful sunsets. A huge bonus was having plenty of nice fluffy bath towels, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, coffee, & plenty soap. ⭐️Much appreciated! Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us. The Wilson family had a wonderful & memorable Fourth of July 🇺🇸 Holiday in San Leon.

Great getaway!
The property was everything advertised. Nice, clean, private place with good sized fenced yard with private pier. Would have liked hand-rails on pier walkway. The only negative was being surprised by the lawn crew showing up unannounced. I was fishing out on the pier and my wife relaxing on the covered patio when a guy suddenly appears in the back mowing. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable stay. We would do it again.

A perfect spot for a quick getaway and fishing
Upon arrival didn't seem like much however the pier offered an excellent time fishing if that's what you're into. We are able to catch some bull red as well as surprisingly flounder. The house was well equipped in very clean. Everybody had a place to stay sleep and enjoy some rest and relaxation. Contact to the property owner was a breeze and extremely pleasant. Would not hesitate to rent this place again do another fishing trip.

Thanksgiving break
This is our fourth stay at this property and we love coming back to this place in San Leon to fish and enjoy the water front view. The new Pier 6 restaurant is also a short walk away. Highly recommend this place for family and friends! Great host and everything was perfect!

RELAXING GETAWAY
Very nice house, we enjoyed our stay very much. If lights would be installed on the dock, I would really love this place. But, overall we had a great time fishing off the dock during the daytime.

Wonderful Vacation
We had such a good time at this house! Everything was perfect. The full sized bed was really comfortable. The mattress felt like it might be new but I’m not sure. There was plenty of towels (we use a lot of towels in our family). The kitchen was fully stocked so, had I wanted to cook on vacation, I could’ve. We loved sitting on the covered back porch and watching it rain. The mornings were so peaceful and relaxing. My husband did a lot of fishing off of the pier behind the house but only caught 1 fish. My only complaint is that it really isn’t 3 bedrooms like the listing says. There are 3 sleeping areas but 1 of them is in the living room. We only needed 2 bed rooms but just a heads up to someone looking for 3. One more thing to give a heads up about....the shower head is really low. One of us is only 5’4” and had to bend down to rinse her hair. The water pressure was awesome though. The owner was very easy to communicate with and the property was easy to find. If we ever get to go back, we will look for this listing first.

Relaxing Weekend
Our family enjoyed this place. Relaxing away from the city life. Had a great time fishing with the family and Enjoyed the gulf bay breeze at the back patio. The place needed some update but we didnt care about those little things because we came out here to relax and fish.

Good for families and pets
The property was good, in an nice quiet area if you are looking to relax. My husband and kids enjoyed the pier and fishing and the back yard was big enough for my dog to run. The only couple of concerns I got was that cleanness of the house, I had to wash every plate and pot I got. There were some doors in the hall way that were falling off. The property is not a 3 bedroom house. It’s a 3 room house but not 3 bedroom. One of the bedrooms it’s were you get inside the house so no privacy and the 2nd bedroom has the 2 twin beds so we couldn’t use it for me and my husband. The living area it’s big with a big kitchen and nice dining room. The house had everything to cook. My family and I had a nice time.

Perfect for our trip
The house was perfect for my wife and our pups. We were on a two day business trip and wanted a relaxing waterfront home. It was exactly as presented. Roomy for the two of us. Very clean and comfortable. The owner was helpful and accommodating. Nice to watch the sunrise.

Peace and quiet with everything you need
My husband and I came for a 2 day stay. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the home and the pier. Great home for a small group wanting to fish. Home had everything you could need. Great communication with owner of home. Our only issue was the pier. Had a beam broken so we were apprehensive about getting across in one area of the pier, but all was well. Great communication with owner regarding issue. Looking forward to going again when cooler and enjoying some more fishing on the pier.

Disappointed overall
We were overall disappointed with the property. There was only one double bed and three twin beds. We slept one night on the double and it was terrible. We spent the next 6 nights sleeping on the Futon in the living room(this was only slightly better than the double). The mattress on the double was shot and had a 1 inch foam pad covering the mattress. The kitchen was well stocked, but many items were dirty and we had to clean whatever we used first. There were ants in the kitchen. The front door lock broke and we had to use the back door to get in after we called the owner to let them know. This was not fun in the rain. The furniture in the living room was not in good condition. The "Lazy Boy" type chair had the right arm almost coming off. The only thing we really enjoyed was setting on the back porch and enjoying the view of the bay. The chairs on the back porch also need to be cleaned and some replaced. Also as a side note, the hot water was extremely hot and could easily burn a small child or an adult who did not have fast reflexes.

The trip we had was great. Nice long pier to fish from and even caught a few fish. 8, threw back several small ones....There were two crab traps when we arrived owner let us have the 12 crab inside.. and caught like 8 more ...just throw traps out with fish head or chicken leg...Did rain a couple days but we expected that anyway....House was good and clean plenty of towels and tons of dishes and pans.... Owner does answer pretty quick if message sent... So will see someday about returning... Thanks Evan

Family fun with a quiet, peaceful and relaxing atmosphere on the waters edge!
Our family had a fantastic time on this weekend getaway. As soon as we opened the door we felt like we were at home. Nice, qiuet house with private fishing pier
The house was nice and much better than staying in a hotel like we usually do on vacation. It is in a quiet neighborhood and has it's own fishing pier so you can just relax and fish if that's what you're looking to do on your trip. There is a small amusement park nearby at Kemah, Tx that has a few rides if you have kids. The fishing wasn't great when we were there, but there were a lot of storms so that could be the reason. We mostly only caught small catfish and a few stingrays. Overall it was a nice, relaxing trip.

Quiet, Peaceful, Relaxing
My sister and I enjoy fishing and decided on this rental because it was not too big and right on the water. The house is clean, comfortable, and roomy. The fishing pier is about 500 feet into the water and is great for fishing. If you like to crab, there are plenty out there to be had but bring a long net, because if the tide is low you can't reach in the water. Had a great vacation. I have already suggested this place to family and will no doubt return. The only complaint is that maintenance needs to replace numerous burned-out bulbs, and fix the back screen door because it won't shut.

Great for a family.

Be ready for a quirky house.
The long pier at the front of the house was wonderful to have access to. It was too windy the week we were there so no fish caught. I would probably stay here again. The owner was very helpful. The set up is a little strange. The front door enters directly into one of the bedrooms so everytime someone comes or goes you have to go thru the bedroom. Also access to the second bedroom is thru bedroom one or the bathrooms. The two bathrooms are connected which is kind of strange. When someone went to sleep in bedroom one, you have to go thru the two connecting bathrooms to get to bedroom 2. Neither bedroom has a useable closet or dresser to put things away so we had to live out of our suitcases for the week. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of pillows, bedding and towels for our large group. The kitchen was well stocked. Lots of seating areas inside and out. Very clean.

A VERY PLEASANT and QUAINT HOME WITH A GREAT PIER AND VIEW!
Our family really enjoyed our stay. We are planning to come back very soon. The house was very clean and was just like it looked online but better. The kitchen was large and well stocked with everything you would need to cook with. The house was very comfortable and spacious. Our grandson loved going out on the pier it was his first time to go fishing he is 4 1/2 years old and he had a blast catching some crabs. The pier was great, the view was the best, and the breezes where really nice, and we caught fish our last night there. The next door neighbors where FANTASTIC, they where very helpful and gave a lot of advice regarding what bait to use and the best time to fish. One of the best places we stayed at. We would recommend this place to our friends and family!!

Very clean & spacious home
Great home with a great owner. Everything was exactly if not better than described online. Took my family to San Leon to do some fishing in the bay and this house fit our needs perfectly. The owner was very helpful with good fishing spots, bait to use, etc. upon our departure from the house I left a personal belonging and Evan did everything he could to get it back to me as soon as possible. HIGHLY RECOMEND TO ANYONE VISITONG THE AREA

Amazing owners, great fishing, fantastic neighbor!
This trip was intended as a fishing trip for my family and i, and it delivered! Extremely welcoming, nice owners! The neighbor was also fantastic, and had plenty of fishing tips to give us. As far as the fishing goes, no trout this time, but caught many catfish, and croakers. Also caught a big flounder, and a stingray. Saw a 4 ft gar our last morning there, kept biting through our lines, was not prepared for that! Also saw quite a few large sheephead eating along the pylons in the mornings. Overall, I must say, this is exactly what I was hoping for, but better! Hope to stay here again! Thank you!
