Weekend stay for family gathering

The Forge is a beautiful property which suited our needs perfectly. All rooms are of a good size, the kitchen very well equipped, luxury bathrooms and a nice area outside for eating. Beautiful walks from the doorstep including up to the tower on top of Leith Hill with stunning views. An added bonus to have plenty of room for off road parking. Amanda was a great host, replying to messages really quickly and helpfully. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent stay!!

We had a fantastic weekend away with friends at this property. The property was exactly as described — spotlessly clean and met all our needs perfectly. Extra bonus points for the three king-size bedrooms and three bathrooms, which made it ideal for a group stay. The location was perfect, with great pubs, restaurants, and lovely dog walks all nearby.Amanda was an excellent host — communication was clear, and the check-in instructions were straightforward. Couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll definitely be staying here again!

Fabulous cottage

Really great with loads of character whilst modern and well equipped.Amazing inglenook fireplace.Comfortable beds.There is a pub next door which was handy!Wood definitely recommend.

This was the perfect spot for some real R&R. Lovely cosy cottage, with additional accommodation on site if required; great walks and pubs close by, but if you're looking for a busy highstreet, this probably isn't the spot for you.

Weekend at the Forge

Beautiful property for a special family get together for my husband's birthday. Amanda left a card and some real ale for my husband on our arrival! Such a thoughtful touch. We had everything we needed and Amanda was very helpful and very fruendky.

For the first time in some years the immediate family came together to help us celebrate our Golden Wedding & visit old family haunts. This accommodation really hit the spot on every level for our family. With its spacious rooms everywhere, we were very comfortable and all our needs were met.

Brilliant stay at The Forge, Ockley

The house worked really well for us and the location was perfect for the wedding we attended over the first weekend of our stay. Also easy to get the Hampton Court Show as well. The house is well kitted out and all the appliances and fittings are top notch. Particualy enjoyed watching Wimbledon on the large tellies! Didn't have a chance to have a BBQ - maybe next time!

Lovely big property , everything was perfect would highly recommend , beautifull location, great pub next door but you would not know it was there , very quite and great food and friendly staff . Fantastic

We’ve stayed in Ockley over Easter, a family of 5, of which two kids (6 and 9). The house was just perfect for us. Well located, clean, spacious, well equipped, … we had anything we needed to have a great time! Communicating wit Amanda was always very friendly, supportive and super fast. We will definitely come back on day.

The Forge was fabulous .. we are 3 couples (family) and had a wonderful few days here. Cottage is beautiful .. bed linens are gorgeous .. no complaints about anything. Pub next door … food was good… and staff so friendly. Definitely recommend

A lovely places

We had a lovely stay. The house is in great condition and kept really clean and tidy. Very modern cooker and oven. Amanda is very friendly and helpful if you have any questions. Would highly recommend. We had a great week here with 4 kids and 2 adults.

Perfect property

The property is stunning with plenty of space for our family of 5, a great outdoor space backing into fields with plenty of walks. Local pub right on the doorstep. Amanda the host is lovely and couldn’t help us enough. Highly recommend.

Luxury cottage in rural area. Top value for money!

We had a great time with 6 adults in this luxurious cottage. Fully equipped with everything you need. Top quality, clean and comfortable. Quiet with sunny terrace and garden. Private parking behind the house and friendly pub next door. Highly recommend ! Thanks Amanda for a wonderful time and we'd love to come again! Just 5 little comments for improvement: 1) unfortunately we received the wrong directions to the wrong flat and spent 30 minutes trying to find the keysafe and get into the house. Amanda husband kindly drove to find us and sorted everything immediately. 2) we had problems with the door locks. Probably our incompetence. 3) In the top bathroom there was no mirror above the washbasin. Amanda agreed to mount a shaving mirror. 4) The carpet in the lounge smelt a little from her dog's and needs to be cleaned. 5). There's only place in the utility room for hanging up coats.

Completely relaxing - the perfect holiday cottage experience..

Fabulous accommodation - comfy beds, lovely linen, everything a guest requires. Beautiful and tasteful furnishings. Very stylish. Easy parking, quiet location. We had the best time and would thoroughly recommend. Hosts efficient, helpful and very friendly. Excellent in every way.
