I wanted to stay in a hotel for a few hours, where I could keep my luggage and rest a bit before heading to the airport, so I decided to book something (hopefully decent) for a not so expensive room. It took forever to find the place, no one knew where it was, and I finally found it in between a maze of busy streets. I was harassed on the way by most people in the area, it was scary. When I finally got to the hotel and realized this was not a good idea, it looked nothing like what was shown in the photos. I told the man at the front desk that I had a change of mind, but I was told to call Expedia and sort it out. I asked the guy if it was possible to call a cab to take me to the airport, he said it would cost me 200 dirhams! I said that was not what the travel agency told me (they said it normally costs 50 dirhams). The cleaner, standing at the desk the entire time, kept cutting me off by talking to the guy in Hindi. I called the travel agency & handed the phone over to confirm, but then a yelling match took place in Hindi which ended by slamming the phone in the other persons face & more yelling at me, which I couldn't understand. I told the receptionist to tell the cleaner to calm down, because I was getting scared by this abusive behaviour, but it went on. I then decided, safety first, so I ran for the door. I was then told by my travel agent that the screaming and yelling was because the advise they gave me was preventing the hotel from getting a "commission". Disgusting!
