A great getaway in a Hallmark Town

In downtown Westfield, this house was perfect. The location was very close to my activites. It was clean, trendy and old fashion vintage. It happened to be an old friends home from many years ago so it was a treat to stay there again.

Property wad cute, but walls were paper thin. You heard your neighbors and smelled whatever they were cooking. There was no diswasher or air conditioning and bathroom was too far from the bedroom.

Disappointed

The Good Things: (1) Location. Westfield is a pretty town and a 25 minute drive to Chautauqua. Some good restaurants on Main St. and a large town green with a farmers market, local crafts and live music Saturday mornings. (2) Apartment is large and clean (3) good communication by owner and assistance from local personnel. Not Good: (1) the apartment is the smaller of two units which share a common, thin wall so conversation and activity by those in the larger unit is like everyone in both units being in the same room. Happened to us around 1:00am when people in the larger apartment were arriving for their stay. Fortunately for us we left the next day (2) The wifi equipment is inadequate to the size of the apartment. Our devices were constantly losing connection. (3) The couch in front of the tv is really uncomfortable. (4) The shower has two sliding doors and a gasket under one of the doors can get lose causing water to leak out onto the floor. This place didn't work for us and we wouldn't return.

Westfield in May

Cozy but needs work to insulate against outside elements and noise from an attached unit. Time to invest in blackout shades for the bedroom and a refrigerator that properly seals upon closing. An electrical outage was scheduled for the entire town and though the property owner was made aware they still rented to us and made no mention of this 12 hour outage. After being without power all day on Saturday, no adjustment was made to credit our rental fee. The town is normally quiet and peaceful.

Great space and location

We enjoyed this space and location. Cozy decor, space was perfect for the 2 of us, the furniture was not the most comfortable, especially the sofa. But other than that we would definitely stay here again!

Weekend getaway

Wonderful little apartment! It was clean and decorated very nicely. The little kitchen had lots of amenities to help make our stay comfortable. My daughter was doing a dance workshop at the Chautauqua Institute and it was only about a fifteen minute drive away. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Our favorite!

This was the perfect VRBO for our romantic getaway. The location was great for a bike ride through Chautauqua, dinner at a local bar in Westfield and the local wine tour. The space was beautiful and clean and we loved sitting outside in the backyard. This has become our new favorite VRBO!

Poor property description

This property is part of three different rentals. It’s like you’re staying in a motel but the home is not soundproof for 3 different parties to stay here. Very loud, could hear drawers opening/closing in the kitchen and quiet conversation. There was no toilet paper, paper towels, dish or hand soap left for us. We heard mice scurrying around at night above our heads, there were lots of rodent deterrents inside the property. When I communicated with the property manager nothing was done, very poor management. Would not recommend.
