This charming little studio apartment felt like a tiny home away from home from the minute I walked in.
There is nothing pretentious about this place and that's everything I love about it. The old farmhouse look and decor on the inside, the exposed brick, the skylights, the footed bathtub, the stacks of old books, the cool old screen door...and of course, the views of mountains in the distance.
It's very clean and comfortable, had a great yard and sitting area, and had everything that I needed in the kitchen. The bed was huge and comfortable.
The apartment is one-block off of Main Street in the center of downtown Durango. I was able to walk everywhere, including the grocery store. There is a small park directly across the street that had live music one afternoon. I also enjoyed the food truck court (with coffee and cocktail bar) just a short walk on Main Street.
I was thrilled that there were so many mountain bike trails accessible right out my door. Three different trail systems were less than 1 mile away, and others were not much further. Once I parked my truck in the little spot in the driveway, I didn't move it again until it was time to leave for the next destination.
This was my first time in Durango. I hope to be back, and if I do, this will be the first rental I look for.
