Chateau on plymouth rock
Our stay was very enjoyable. House was very nice and had everything you could ask for. Washer,dryer,microwave,tvs in all rooms,comfortable beds,great view,nice dock, and much more. The owner Rod is one of the nicest and most helpful guys you would ever meet. Along with his family they made the stay very easy and enjoyable. From showing us where to fish and helping us launch boats and use of his private dock when needed. There is a lady named Debbie next door who sells ice for cheap and even baked for us while there. She is a must meet person also. Thanks so much for the enjoyable stay. We will be back for sure. Thanks from the Kobers and Dickensons.

Secluded getaway with a home that provides all the amenities

Girls Weekend
We enjoyed our stay, the house was perfect! The walk to and from the house to the lake was tiring, but still fun and we all laughed about it!! It’s a great place to stay!

Rocky check in. Delayed apology- expected better
We had a bad experience with Krissy the main contact for the property. It was upsetting because I read the reviews which are very positive and the property is listed as “premier host”. The day of our arrival we hadn’t received check in instructions. I messaged Krissy and she gave us a code and explained what door to use. We had traveled over 5.5 hours and arrived at the house 30 minutes early. We waited outside in the shade until 3 when we were allowed to check in. The security code we were given didn’t work! After trying several times, we loaded our bags, life jackets etc back into our van. Internet is spotty there so we drove to find service so we could call Krissy. When we reached her she gives us a new code but didn’t even apologize?! She was short, rude and treated us like we were an inconvenience to HER! We didn’t even hear from Krissy again until the day we left! (I had a question about the check out procedure.) She could have made it right several times throughout our stay by offering an apology and simply just checking in on us- see how our stay was going, seeing if we needed anything especially after the rocky check in. She didn’t! I did contact Chris one of the other property managers on our way home to let him know of our negative experience. He was professional and apologized for the bad experience right away. Krissy also apologized AFTER Chris told her we contacted him. We paid over $1,100 to stay in the home and expected better treatment from a premier host rated so highly. ************************************************** Aside from the bad experience with the host, the property is truly beautiful inside and out. The home was extremely clean and the kitchen was well stocked and had new appliances. The pictures of the lake don’t do it justice! It is so peaceful and serene and the dock is great! Many decks on the home to enjoy view of the lake.

As a premier host we do try to make every stay as good as possible. Our sincere apologies for anything that was not a positive experience. We will of course take this into consideration as we go forward.

Great place!
Everything was great. Loved the property. It is a very long walk down to the dock but that seems to be par for the course. The stairs could use some repairs as they felt very unstable. I also think the pictures of the outside need to better reflect the actual set up outside in back. The part of the house that we stayed in doesn't actually have the large deck. That's on another part of the house that looks to be rented out separately.

Hi Amy thank you for your review. We appreciate the feedback. The steps are a battle but good news we have fixed the parts that you mentioned as unstable I believe. I am so sorry you had an issue with the deck, all decks are for the renters ( yourself) as well as exclusive use of the private dock. Their is another section but we do not rent it. I hope this information is helpful and that you can stay again soon!

Clean and spacious!
This property is really clean and spacious. The neighborhood on the drive in is sketchy, but the stretch of lake homes makes up for it. There are many stairs to get to and from the water so this property isn’t ideal for someone who can’t make it back up those stairs. Gorgeous view. This home is shared and the conjoined side was also occupied/rented out which I didn’t see listed in the ad so we didn’t have access to the large patio area like we had envisioned. Overall, very comfortable stay!

Thank you for your review. The adjoining property is occupied by the owners. This isn’t an issue when honest reservations are made by the tenants.

House was nice enough. Road to get there is indeed very rough. Water being super shallow and dirty was less than ideal. Appears some broken seals on bottom of doors I think makes it easy for bugs to get in. We did indeed find a scorpion which was pretty cool I guess but not great to think about when laying down at night in bed. Wasn’t bad for a group of 9 but definitely gotta know what you’re getting into. Also, there are a LOT of stairs and it was not fun going up and down.

Ben thank you for the review! We aren’t able to control water levels or such but pleased to let you know we are treating for bugs and scorpions. The scorpion you mentioned are common in the area and fingers crossed not on our rental. The road in is being improved and we hope you will choose to stay again soon!

Beautiful house but questionable area
We loved the house but had no cell service except using the WiFi. There is no easy water access. The nearest public boat launch is 32 minutes away. We towed 5 kayaks thinking we would be able to use them and there was no easy access to the water. There was no shoreline access.

Hi Regina I am sorry your stay was less than optimal. We do have a boat launch less than 5 mins away. It is listed in the welcome book on the counter. Most of our guests use the launch for kayaks or boats. I wish I could help more with cell service but it is not optimal. WiFi does allow for text and calls with most providers. We appreciate your review and you choosing to stay with us.

Property is located at 74.5 MM. There were no boat or jet ski rentals located in the vicinity on the Lake. Neighborhood going to the property was a bit scary. A few live scorpions in the house to include bed. Wifi was hit or miss. Completely out for 24 hours of the stay. Owners and/or managers didnt respond to messages. House had nice new updates. Stay was overall "ok".

Beautiful house!
The house is beautiful and looks newly remodeled. I have absolutely no complaints about the house, but the neighborhood you have to drive through to get to the house is a little sketchy and the stairs to get to and from the dock are not good for those out of shape. I would 10/10 recommend this place to my friends and stay here again.

Our wedding vacation
The house is beautiful! But had a few problems. First there is absolutely no cell service to retrieve or call for access code. The internet wifi in house if very poor. Tvs are constantly buffering. Went to use the gas grill and it was not clean and had old meat left behind. The gravel road leading to the house is very bad. I drive a new Camaro and had a lot of difficult. We did manage with the few problems.

Bachelorette Weekend- 9 Ladies
Great house, very clean, spacious, just as described and pictures indicated. Beds so comfortable, bathrooms awesome, kitchen perfect. Gravel road getting there a little tough. We had to reach out to owner to get check-in code when we arrived. There is wi-fi but no phone service. Cell phones did not work unless you communicated through an app. Stairs were plenty, biggest downside was bringing coolers down to dock and having to haul them up later. The house is pretty secluded, an hour+ drive to Osage Beach or other populated areas of Lake of Ozarks- so plan accordingly if you want to venture out! All in all we had a great time celebrating our bride-to-be and this was a beautiful location.

Annual Girls Trip
The house is just as pictured and is gorgeous on the inside! Everything was newly renovated and in working order. Beds were probably the best beds I've stayed in from Vrbo. While we were there we had a pretty good storm and the wifi went out for almost 24 hrs. We were unable to locate the router to restart once it had passed. Wouldn't have been a big deal but between the 5 of us and 3 different service providers (T Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T)we didn't have service. As all of us were mothers and on a weekend trip this caused us to be a little un easy. The stairs were more challenging than we imagined since we knew we didn't want to go up and down them several times. Not the easiest to get a cooler down but we managed. Sitting on the dock was very enjoyable and the view was gorgeous! I'm 5'8 and just stand in the water but was able to easily feel the bottom if I tried. GPS took us a funny way at first and we ended up on a dead end road by a creek. Once we found the correct way the road could definitely use a little TLC and the neighborhood is kind of off putting. The "cons" of this trip were nothing our host could have controlled. The house provided exactly what they stated it would and was just as beautiful as pictured. I would stay here again! Thank you so much for hosting our 2021 annual girls trip!

Great place for fishing.

Perfect getaway on the water.
Stayed here with another couple and brought our boat. We had an amazing time. The views were spectacular. Enjoyed hanging out on the decks and socks outside. The mattress was extremely comfortable. Bathrooms were amazing. Kitchen was well supplied and we cooked. Stop looking and book this property for your vacation.

Location
Communication and check in process was not done well. Key pad did not work, took 15 minutes to find cell service spot to notify owner, then finally able to access house 45 min after arrival. Was told to call when we were in route, we did and no one ever called back.

Great Girl's Weekend Away
OMG, I love this house. We had a fantastic time. There was plenty of space for everyone, and I even got to try out the jacuzzi tub. It was a little tricky maneuvering the gravel roads, but well worth the drive. Thanks for everything the ladies and I will be back.

Overall excellent house
We were a little worried when we drove through the neighborhood to get to the house. It was not the best neighborhood as far as neighboring homes. Once we arrived at the house, we were pleased and happy to find that the house was clean, spacious, and as described. We were not prepared by how secluded the house was from much else. Be prepared to not make any extra trips. Though we knew about the stairs to the dock, i can see how that would be challenging for someone who might find steps difficult. As mentioned the house was not equipped with anything eXtra like shower soap, baggies, etc. A reminder to bring any essentials with you. The beds were comfortable, the house was plenty big for 6 people, and updated. At the Lake, nobody else was around. It was very secluded, peaceful and quiet. Overall a very positive experience.

Best year at the lake
This was our fifth year at the lake. By far this place was the best. No boat traffic!! The kids could wakeboard and tube on smooth water all day. It was nice and quite. We loved loved it. The property owners were awesome. The house was beautiful. They really take care of the property. Very clean and spacious. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxation at the Lake
If you want a quiet and relaxing experience then this is the place. We had an entire family from three states get together here. Everyone loved it as there is something for everyone. Our activities were mainly on our pontoon, we also tried some fishing from the dock while searching for wildlife. The home is very spacious in great conditioning. We did have to communicate with the hosts to ask a question and they were extremely quick and helpful. Thank you, we may may be back next year.

Lots of stairs
We enjoyed the view and the house. The road getting in is rough! The stairs wow lots and not in the beat of shape. Was very shallow and lots and lots of mud. Very private, quiet, and relaxing. We got to enjoy our family and have a great Christmas in July.

Great family get away!
Family of 10 enjoyed this beautiful Lake home on a very quiet part of the lake. Everyone enjoyed swimming off the dock. 110 steps were a little rough for grandma and grandpa but once down on the dock worth the efforts. Fully equipped kitchen made cooking all meals easy after shopping at the Warsaw Wal-Mart. Debbie the ice lady is a delight. Beds were amazing as well as all living space. We knew we were at “home” when we seen the dishes were a blast from our past 25 years ago! Would definitely recommend this property. We had a pontoon boat rented at Sterett Creek Marina but the weather didn’t cooperate.
