Wolf Cabin es la cabaña más pequeña y aislada de Wilderness Wind en la orilla del lago Armstrong. Esta adorable cabaña de un dormitorio con cocina y mesa de cocina se encuentra al final del camino y es tranquila y privada, pero tiene acceso a todas las comodidades del complejo Wilderness Wind. Hay una cama nido debajo de la cama que se extiende para acomodar a una tercera persona. El fregadero de la cocina tiene un enfriador de agua que se llena con un grifo exterior y medio refrigerador, una estufa y un microondas. Duchas de agua caliente, lavabos e inodoros de letrinas se encuentran a pocos pasos a través de hermosos bosques de abedules, en la casa de baños. Al frente del camino cubierto de hierba se encuentra la zona de baño con asientos junto al lago para ver la puesta de sol, acceso a canoas y kayaks, y un pozo de fuego para fogatas. Esta cabaña es un lugar íntimo especial para una pareja que busca una escapada romántica desde la cual basar el senderismo y el ciclismo en el sendero Mesabi Trail y la excursión en canoa por el día en el desierto de la zona de canoas de Boundary Waters. En Ely se puede comprar ropa, equipo para actividades al aire libre y arte local, así como algunas experiencias gastronómicas de muy buena calidad. ¿Quiere escaparse solo y ponerse en contacto con la naturaleza y su lado tranquilo? Esta es una gran cabina individual para escribir en un diario, hacer excursiones de un día a la fotografía, trabajar en proyectos de arte o planificación, ponerse al día con su lectura o simplemente relajarse en un hermoso entorno natural.

We were promised an air stream with a pull wagon but instead we got a bus with no AC and twin beds. We were also promised a free night and this was 5/23 to 5/25 and we still have not received that refund. I have Messaged her and she has not responded since 6/6 when I last Text her.

Easy going weekend on the lake

Had a wonderful time staying in the wolf cabin. It had everything we needed and the cabin and bathrooms are incredibly clean. The property is simple and easy going. We had a wonderful time kayaking and canoeing on the lake. It’s exactly what we were looking for. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we hope to return next summer.

The wolf cabin is our favorite!

My husband and I are huge fans of Wilderness Wind and have been coming here for several years. We particularly love staying in the Wolf cabin because it is slightly secluded and so cozy.. A wonderful vacation spot!

Rustic Ely getaway

This was such a wonderful property. Right on the shores of Lake Armstrong, there were canoes and a paddle boat available, life vests, and plenty of wood for the fire pit. While each cabin was separate and had plenty of peace and quiet there were also chances to sit around and laugh/talk with other guests. We had a great time and are looking forward to coming back!

Best Cabin Experience

I love staying at Wilderness Wind, and this stay was no different. For me, it's the perfect balance of rustic charm and convenience. I enjoy the electricity and stove in the cabin, but I also like the shared bathrooms and group campfire that give it a camp feel. I felt very safe as a solo traveler, and I had a good time trying out one of the kayaks that are available for guests.

Relaxing!!!

Property was so simple and beautiful. A great alternative to camping for us in our 60's. Quiet, easy to find, close to the things we wanted to do yet in the outdoors. Biking and hiking were closeby with beautiful surroundings!!! Will recommend and likely stay again...

Quiet and relaxing

The Wolf cabin was a delightful place to stay for some no tech time and relaxation. The manager Jay was terrific…very helpful. We loved the rustic look of the cabin. it was clean, comfortable, cozy, and a short distance from the shower room. We were able to bring our 10 year old dog with us too. The overall stay was perfect!

Rustic lakeside retreat

We wanted a quick midweek getaway to the northwoods & Wilderness Wind was the perfect spot. There was a snafu with the cabin we rented but Jay was available by phone & we got settled in the Loon cabin instead. Lots of amenities like kayaks, canoes, firewood and fishing poles. We had a super relaxing & quiet time!

the host checked in prior to our arrival to go over check in details. He was very friendly and checked to make sure we had everything we needed on a daily basis. The cabin is rustic and still had everything we needed for utensils. Remember to bring extra blankets, sheets and pillow cases. We had a great relaxing time and would make this an annual trip.

Great get-away from the bustle of the metro, daily life, and work.

The Wolf Cabin was exactly what we were looking for in our stay in Ely...simplistic beauty surrounded by nature. We swam, kayaked, fished, ran, read, sat by a gorgeous campfire at night and took in the brilliant night sky, and enjoyed the sunshine and dry air. Perfect get-away for a no-fuss, relaxing vacation. Wish we could have stayed a few more days!!

Cozy Getaway.

My wife and I just got back from a 3-day stay at the Wolf Cabin and had a great time. The cabin is small, but just fine for a couple - we would've been just fine here for a longer stay, but could only stay for 3 days. Everything you need is in the cabin. Kitchen was well-stocked and what wasn't in the kitchen could be found in the main communal cabin. The lake is amazing! We were in 3 times a day. The Wolf Cabin is the most intimate and secluded of the cabins and we really enjoyed it. Highly recommended! We'll be back for sure!

Dreams come true

We hoped to catch fish and have some adventures. We did that and more. We loved wolf cabin, enjoyed using the canoe on and off property. Jay was the perfect host, advising us on fishing and adventures and provided a loaner rod when I broke my garage sale version on a 16 inch bass the first day. So glad we chose wilderness wind as our first taste of boundary waters.

Just a few steps above camping, but cabins were nice, staff friendly, beautiful area. Negatives: bathhouse garbage often overflowing with lack of paper products. And, unruly dogs running amok. Caretaker's dog bit a friend's shirt, while she was wearing it.

Wilderness Wind is a hidden gem in the Ely area. The solitude, lake and congeniality of staff create an environment which is hard to leave. The cabin was equipped with everything needed for our temporary 'home away from home'! If decompression is what you're looking for, this is the place!
