Very relaxing
The deck going all the way down to the creek was a nice surprise. The location was very close to the small town of Epworth. We would definitely rent again.

Mayfly cabin
Very nice cabin and quick responses from host when questions arise. The road is a bit rough and very narrow to get to cabin but worth it. For those that can navigate a lot of steps, the view at the river is beautiful.

Peaceful vacation
Property was perfect for our little family, only thing as a heads up is do not use Google maps to get there. They gave me a notice about it when they sent door code thankful my significant other has an iPhone since we were already on the way and I didn't have to download another map app on the way.

This cabin was absolutely perfect for the bachelorette weekend I was hosting for my sister, her bridesmaids and me. The goal was relaxation and tasteful fun, and we definitely got that here. The hosts are so kind, accessible and responsive. The location is so peaceful and gorgeous, and the cabin looks even better in person than it does in the online photos. Some tips: The hot tub does work, but it takes a long time to heat to max temp. So I'd recommend turning it on to your desired temp an hour or two in advance of when you want to get in it. The cabin's stocked with spices and leftover condiments from guests, but you might need more cooking oil and pans, especially if you're going to make a big dinner for a big group of people.

Very Nice Cabin
We enjoyed our stay here! Cabin had everything we needed and was cozy. Great hot tub! Very nice owners, helped when we got lost getting there. Google maps took us to the other side of the creek. The stairs down to the creek are no joke. This is the only reason we probably wouldn't book again, we would have liked to spend more time down there fishing but the trip down and back was a lot and exhausting. Beautiful property though and private. Thank you for sharing with us.

Enjoyed our stay in the cabin. Everything was very clean and spacious. We were looking for a quiet cabin near Fightingtown Creek and Mayfly didn't disappoint. We particularly enjoyed the fire pit.

It was everything listed and then some. The view from back deck/porch was breathtaking....serenely quiet. Decorated to a "T" inside and out....yet very homey and comfortable. We enjoyed out stay immensely and would definitely make the trip again. The owners were absolute sweethearts. It was our 54th wedding anniversary trip and they suggested a lovely place for dinner and even took care of making the reservation for us. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

Great Cabin
We had a great stay at the Mayfly cabin. The cabin is well equipped and very homey. The cabin and property are set up to accommodate several people very comfortably. We were so lucky to stay at a perfect time to watch the leaves change. I would highly recommend!

Summer vacation
My family and I stayed here for our summer road trip and we absolutely loved it here. Location was great as we usually stay south if blue ridge we were able to explore Tennessee being only 15 minutes from the boarder. The only thing was the 200 steps to the river east going down but coming up multiple times is not for the faint of heart lol. The girls loved the games available to them and even asked to just spend an entire day at the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

We love it!
We were very pleased with our experience throughout the stay at Mayfly Cabin. The location of the cabin was great for accessing Blue Ridge, McCaysville and Copperhill. We even took a day and rode to Helen. It was about a 1 hour and 20 minute drive but definitely worth it. There is a close neighbor that sales firewood and even delivered it for us. We loved that you could access the creek from the cabin. They guys brought their waders and did some fishing. We cooked almost every day and the kitchen was stocked with everything you needed. The futon upstairs was comfortable for 2 adult guest to use. We would definitely stay here again!

WONDERFUL stay at Mayfly Cabin! Pics were accurate, description as advertised. Very cozy, relaxing living space with a great gas fireplace and Smart TV with high speed. Tons of streaming apps! Comfortable bed upstairs and just a lovely piece of property. The landing halfway down the stairs to the river was so peaceful to relax at and the river itself was fantastic. Great location close to both downtown Blue Ridge and McCaysville. Had an awesome stay!

Perfect tree house get away
Our five night stay at the Mayfly cabin gave us the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and reconnect as a family. We were totally impressed with all the cabin had to offer to include the board games, juice press and fire place. It felt like we were in a real life tree house with a fire pit and creek to top it all off. Yes there are plenty of stairs 220 to be exact but totally worth the views. As city dwellers we took advantage of the close proximity to great hiking trials and parks. Just beware of the drive in on the gravel road four wheel drive is a must. I do not recommend arriving after dark on your first visit. But if you survive the trek you will have a great time.

A scenic comfort zone
Loved this cabin! My husband and I got exactly what we wanted which was plenty of relaxation while listing to the rushing water of the huge beautiful creek below. The cabin was very clean, comfy and beautiful! Loved the decks that over looked the creek. Also a great location and private. I have already had friends wanting the rental info after seeing my pictures. We will definitely be renting this cabin again! Thank you Curt for being a wonderful host :)

We enjoyed our time at Mayfly cabin. Our communication with the property manager was excellent answering our questions before and during our stay. We loved the cabin and our time there. We also enjoyed the surrounding area. Shopping and eating in McCaysville, white water rafting and a nearby hike.

Anniversary Getaway
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and was greeted with a gift bag and a sign that says, "Happy Anniversary", that was really thoughtful. The cabin has everything we needed from kitchen equipments to beds and bathroom amenities. The out door space is very well put together for your comfort and the wifi works amazing out there too. It has a grill, hot tub, fire pit area and a creek. We had an amazing time ! My husband caught rainbow trout in the creek at the cabin. The largest trout he caught was 2.2 lbs and 17 inches long! It was HUGE.. Highly recommended cabin.. Book now with Mayfly cabin and you won't be disappointed!

I have been going to the North Georgia mountains for 30+ years and I’m still amazed by the beauty there and this cabin is part of that beauty. Located away from the crowds, nestled in the woods, overlooking and listening to the river below, it is a place of peace and relaxation. The decor of the cabin is spot on, everything was clean, the beds comfortable and the gas fireplace made for enjoyable evenings without the hassle of firewood . We were welcomed with a goodie bag filled with treats, so thoughtful! The owners of this cabin were a pleasure to work with, easy check in and out. I honestly cannot think of a negative thing. Will we return to this cabin .... YES YES AND YES!!

Awesome stay!
We were traveling during fall break and met up with my daughter and her roommate from Chattanooga. Loved this place and it was perfect getaway! We enjoyed walking down to the creek/river (lots of stairs...be ready) grilling out, foosball, the hot tub, snuggling up to the fire, playing Scrsbble, and just being together. The host was great at communication. The place was decorated so well and loved the layout of the place. The beds were super comfy! We enjoyed going to Mercier Orchards and exploring the mountains the next day....very convenient to things! Hope I get to come back!

Noisy inside, but beautiful location
The cabin was very clean and very nicely decorated. Outside was beautiful. I didn't know there were 200 steps down to the river, my husband has bad knees, I wouldn't have rented it if I had known. Inside every floorboard creaked, and the door levers were noisy. So, it was hard to sleep. Kitchen and bathrooms were very nice.

Sorry you missed all the pictures that show the steps leading down to the river.... Will check out and lubricate the levers while we are there this week.......never had any complaints about the floor boards , but will also check that out......however its a log cabin so a certain amount of creaking is to be expected...... eek

Nice cabin in a quiet area between Blue Ridge and McCaysville. Easy access to both towns. Screened in back porch was nice for hanging out or having lunch. Great upstairs for the teens. Kitchen was well stocked. Beautiful property and creek. Lots of stairs to get to the creek so it’s not a place where you’ll hang out by the creek on a regular basis. Communication with owner was easy and he checked in after a day or so to see if we had questions or needed anything. Gas grill had an extra tank when we were there in case the first one ran out.

Recommend to stay!
It was great choice to stay here. I stayed with 2 year old baby and the cleanliness was first priority for me and this place was very clean and stocked with everything that we needed. Even though the stairs were little scary at first but we enjoyed going down and playing with clean water. Only thing that bothered me was no internet and tv services when we were there, but it can happen sometimes and i was ok with it. However, karam offered me to stay extra night for free to make up. I do not know i should share this story, but i enjoyed extra night he offered. Overall, i really recommend this place and i hope to visit again.

The internet issues have been resolved......and while we have no control of issues like power outages or the internet....we always try to get issues resolved as quickly as possible.... we had one open night so we made it available to the guest.... however that is not always possible....

This is a wonderful cabin! It is a peaceful and in a beautiful setting. My family had a wonderful time enjoying the creek and nearby hikes. Our girls loved the loft and area with the foosball table.

The Perfect Place!!
First, the reservation and communication with the owners couldn’t have been easier and more pleasant!! At the beginning and the end they were a delight to talk to!! This cabin was everything we were looking for......and even more!! The cabin was beautifully decorated, spotless, and so welcoming......the owners even had a well-stocked goody bag waiting for us! The cabin itself was well-stocked with things I wouldn’t have even expected, such as a hot water pot for tea, blender, filtered water pitcher (and it was already full and waiting for us) - too many extras to list! The hot tub was great!! The stairs to the water were mingled with decks, picnic table and benches to rest and just enjoy the view on the way down or up! And there was lighting all the way if using them at night. There were card/board games to play, foosball, books to read and one of my favorite relaxing things to do - rocking chairs on a big, nice screened porch with the sound of rushing water below!! We were refreshed!!!
