Weekend Trip
Enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and kitchen had everything we needed. Does NEED a new coffee pot, leaked and wouldn’t work. Otherwise plenty of room and lots of things to do in the area. Enjoyed and would stay again.

Gorgeous rental
The Lodge at Stony Creek is a lovely home set in beautiful surroundings. It was very clean and very comfortable for our group of 10. It was even nicely decorated for the holidays. Sitting in the hot tub watching the snow fall down was fabulous!

Getaway
The property was a great size for our friends weekend! We had a little problem with check in as the code we were given did not work. It actually did not work at all over the weekend so we couldn’t lock the main door if we wanted to leave. The space was very clean and we loved how secluded it was! The beds weren’t the greatest but it was fine for two nights. Hot tub was great we got alot of use out it!

Quiet, Comfortable Family Get-away
Three generations, from ages seven to eighty, enjoyed five days in this spacious, well-appointed, and very clean lodge on a beautiful wooded lot with lots of privacy. The arrangement of bedrooms was perfect for our family of six adults and four youngsters. Having three bedrooms upstairs, a huge living area and kitchen on the main level, and two bedrooms on the lower level provided quiet sleeping spaces and three full baths. For a larger group and a stay of longer than a few days, a larger refrigerator would be helpful, especially since the nearest supermarkets are 20+ miles away. We would definitely come back to Stony Creek Lodge.

Great Family Getaway
This property was a wonderful place to stay with extended family. We went rafting on the nearby Yough river and everything was well-appointed to meet our needs during our trip. My only complaint is that a futon was pictured in the downstairs sleeping area but was not there when we arrived. We had been planning on the futon for flexibility in sleeping arrangements. Other than that it was a wonderful vacation home.

6 th annual winter vacation
We have been doing a after Christmas extended weekend trip for 6 years. This may have been the best one so far. The house is extremely spacious. We had 7 adults. 5 kids and 2 dogs. And plenty of room . We enjoyed the firepit and hot tub. My son and future dil got engaged at Cucumber Falls and we all went over and got some amazing pics. Enjoyed some time at the Christian Clay winery and brewery as well. Not to mention Mountain Pies pizza. YUMMY. Will definitely return.

Christmas trip
This is our 2nd time staying here. We stayed in 2020 and decided to come back to this location as we have dogs and it’s great to be able to let them run in the stream and walk the trails behind the house. They are then tired out so we can all sprawl out in the living area to watch tv or sit at the table playing games or puzzle!!!

we were very pleased with the house
what we were upset about was the phone call the day of our scheduled arrival telling us that the place was ready early and asked if we would like to get in early. we said we would and they preceded to tell us of the additional charge We stayed a lot of places and never ran into a charge. This really makes you look money hungry Other than that the place was very nice

Fall family get away
We had a nice stay at the Lodge at Droney Creek. It was a great location to visit Ohiopyle and the FLW properties. Great access to hiking and walks. We enjoyed visiting Fort Necessity, which was just a few minutes away. The house comfortably held our three households with plenty of bedrooms. Some of our fussier sleepers noted the beds weren't to their preference, but I think they're fine for the average sleeper. We found the property relatively toddler friendly too! Not too much clutter and plenty of space for pack and plays and toys. Good kitchen for prepping large family meals, and an excellent table for eating together. Overall a good stay!

Family vacation
Nice big house in a secluded area with lots of sleeping options. Lots of room to spread out inside and outside the house. Read some other previous reviews and we have some of the same complaints. Wife and I had the king in the basement and we were very happen with it's comfort. Other family members complained about their mattresses as either being very hard or they could feel the springs in them. As for the hot tub outside, well that is some what of a science experiment going on in it. The water smells, both filters are very dirty and need replaced and no chlorine present at all in the tub. I have a tub at home and with very little effort it is not hard to maintain it. Everyone was disappointed that they could not use it.

Great Escape to the Laurel Highlands
This property is set up perfectly for a large family or large group of friends. Located just a quick drive.to Ohiopyle, Nemacolin and many other places this is a hidden escape on a beautiful stream. We had a blast in the large backyard and used the firepit every evening (bring your own wood). The large table in the great room is perfect for family dinners or game night. Kitchen was properly equipped for making any meal. Bedrooms were nice but the mattresses could use some upgrading. We absolutely loved staying here with our group of friends (5 couples).

Great Location and Lots of Room

Great place to stay
We stayed at the Lodge on Stony Creek this August as a family gathering after a long separation due to COVID. We really enjoyed our stay. The lodge is very roomy and was very clean. Furnishings in the bedrooms were sparse but that was OK. They looked just as represented in the pictures online. We had plenty of privacy but were also close to Falling Water, Ohiopyle and several nice restaurants for activities. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed using the grill and firepit. No complaints!

Overall, a great place. Few minor issues
Overall the property was fabulous. Everything was clean, well represented on the website, spacious, surroundings beautiful. Few minor issues to bring up. A chair in the kitchen was broken ( the seat was not attached to the base) The sofa bed on the main floor, really shouldn’t be described as a bed, it was extremely uncomfortable opened up. If you need extra sleeping space, the large couch in the great room is much more comfortable. I would sleep on that, before sleeping on that sofa bed opened up. Downstairs in the bedrooms, the threshold to the carpet area had some nails sticking up that caught feet and were painful. The hot tub needs to be cleaned, the water was very cloudy. The biggest issue for me was the step down from the main level down into the great room. With the hardwood, it was very hard to see the step,and it is definitely dangerous. I went to the dollar store and got some white duct tape so that you could see the difference in levels more easily, and wasn’t unsafe. I was very concerned that somebody wouldn’t see the step and would fall down the step and hurt themselves. Hope the tape was left down foe the next people. Would stay there again, had a great stay!!

Great location and gathering place for the family.
We had a great time and loved the open floor plan and plentiful space. Would have loved more outdoor furniture and something to mark the step down into the living room and a path/access to the creek. The listing said to bring many of the items that were already stocked at the house We we’re grateful but would have packed less had we known. Could use a dusting of the fans and higher spaces and some an insect treatment outside to keep ants out of the kitchen. Perfect for our adventures in Ohiopyle and for a short extended family stay.

Very nice property and location. Stream on the property is beautiful. Both back patios could use some maintenance. Nice big fire pit but the location on the property could be better. It is located on the hill verse the flat area.

Family Fun Weekend

Great family getaway
The property and house were perfect for a 'Covid' getaway with family...a much needed time together. The house was well suited to our group and the property was great for outside eating, game playing and evening marshmallow roasts around the campfire. The little ones enjoyed the stream along the back of the house. The only drawback, as was mentioned by other occupants, was the step from the kitchen area into the living area...very dangerous and a few falls took place. We ended up putting painter's tape along it before someone was seriously injured. Maybe that's a possibility for future renters? Other than that, we are hoping to come back again in the future!

Tribe Weekend
The property was absolutely perfect for our Tribe Weekend getaway. The space served our needs to hang as a group sitting around the large dining room table for meals and games and laying around the couches to chit chat in the evenings. The kitchen was generally well equipped...perhaps a few more serving dishes would be nice but didn't affect our stay. Also, the bedrooms were sufficient but you may want to bring your own pillow! The hot tub provided evening fun to sit and soak for a bit. Overall, I would highly recommend this property and we would return here for sure!

Family winter weekend
Loved this property. The house was very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and worked well for our family. The area is beautiful. The girls went to the very nice Nemicolin spa and the whole family took a short drive to Ohiopyle State Park for some beautiful pictures. We ordered Mountain Pies pizza and they delivered which was a bonus and the Fuel coffee shop was also a hit. I would definitely recommend this this house. One of my families favorites .

Very clean and well stocked. More pillows would have been nice. Check in time is late and check out time is too early. Need to provide instructions on how to make hot tub hotter. Overall- very pleased with the property!

Great stay in Ohiopyle
Property was very nice - clean, spacious, on a beautiful stream. it was conveniently located to shops and tourist sites. The only downside was the bedrooms - only 1 room had a dresser for clothing and some of the beds seemed a bit unstable/worn. Since we didn't need to use all beds, it was a great experience for us.
