At the very least (not expecting anything else) for its low price, hopefully it’d be cleaner. There are red and brown spot smudges on the bathroom wall heater and the toiled bowl has stained/blackened bottom. The room has a definite smell on it esp the bathroom. The mini fridge yellowish and old which is okay as long as clean.

My wife stayed here for our kid's volleyball. What a dive. I would've asked for a different room if i was there. One of the main issues was that the lock had been kicked off previously. I would never stay in a dive without a proper door lock. She pushed the chair up against the door and stayed i found out two days later

The hot water bath was good. The TV didn't work, the heater didn't work, the toilet didn't flush completely. Won't stay there again.

None of the lamps worked. Had to move the cord. Mattress was quite worn. Floor was extremely dirty. Fridge rattled loudly.

Stopped on my roadtrip to Washington. It had what i needed, a bed and a shower. It was close to everything. Room was clean. Staff was nice. Would stay again.

They have done a great job to renovate and update the rooms. This is a complete 180 from what this place used to be. It is good to see that the place is now non-smoking. Unfortunately, the only drawback for me, is that the smell of cigarette smoke still lingers. Otherwise, the new Northern Lights Inn is a great improvement over its predecessor.

Didn't get housekeeper. No rug which i liked. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Shower was excellent, lots of hot water. No plug in sink was afraid of loosing something down there. Place is old but comfortable, updated lock on door. No elevator, lots of metal stairs to climb to get to 2nd floor. Everything worked as it should.

Killed ants on the bedroom table, toilet was a little kids toilet-so low to the ground. Ice machine not working, cigarette butts all along parking and doorways, the walls in the bathroom had stuff /dirt/ gunk on them. I would not recommend this place in Ft St Johns

Family run budget stay
Staff has always been friendly, easy to book with. It's a budget friendly place for a reason so don't expect it to be 5 stars inside. Our staff stays here often to support small business owners.

The property was not well kept up. It looked shabby. The stairs on the outside to the second floor were in ill repair. It could use a paint job.

I travel for work on a regular basis. Property was decent for the price. Housekeeping was an issue. Was told at check in that one person quit and the second week I was there, there was no one. Front desk staff came but only did the basics. Sheets, replaced towels and soap. Didnt actually clean the bathroom or unit. Again though....for the price its not bad. Howard Johnson was way worse!!

Great little place for the price.

Great price, good stay
Staff was very friendly and handy. Surprisingly quiet for its location. Okay stay except the room needed a more thorough cleaning - the bathroom especially. Would go back as it's a great price and hope this was a one off.
