Awful

Connect Coastal canceled our reservations 2 days before our trip and had nowhere else to relocate us. We had to find a new place to stay on our own 2 days before leaving!! We got the majority of our refund back, but they still owe us the 250 deposit and I fear we will not be getting that back. I would be very cautious of using Connect Coastal as property managers.

Week in beach resort with friends

We loved the location on the beach and the pool and the lazy river. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely try to book this place again. Our friends liked it so much they are considering buying one of the units! Also, Historic ghost tour and Bishop's mansion are MUST does. And, don't forget to go to go to Waterman's restaurant, very close and excellent food and environment!

Terrible Exerperience

When we checked in, property was unclean with dust over much of the furniture, and hair in both bathrooms. Ceiling fan and light didn't work, walls showed patchwork but not painted, balcony as littered with peanut shells. Additionally, the shower curtain was torn. When I called the off-site manager to complain, his initial response was that they don't check the rooms after they have been cleaned. And, they had storms since the rooms were cleaned so I just needed to flip the breaker. When maintainence showed up, they said the fan/light combo was shot and needed to be replaced. When I called the off-site manager and told him this his response was "so, do you want me to cancel your resservation"? Having no other place to stay, we had no choice but to make the best of a bad situation. However,. I will never stay there again and discourage anyone from booking through this VRBO.

BEAUTIFUL property But Parking limited

So the property was beautiful, but I would have liked to know there was a limited parking of 2. This was not disclosed when booking, you're a limited two parking Per the hoa, and even though it was not fully booked, they would not let me park my third vehicle and offered to pay but I had to park in public parking about 5 or 10 miles aaadown, which was not bad, but was $20 a day.

Great spot!

Everything is great! The complex is very clean and well maintained. Plenty of presence from the condominium facilities. The condo itself was wonderful too! It met all our needs. We will be back!! Couple things to note: the condo complex rules are strongly enforced - 2 car maximum and everyone must have a wristband when onsite. The distance from the elevators to the condo door is long. Make sure to bring wheelchairs for individuals that may require some assistance with walking.

Great potential but…

Nice location for Galveston but we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the unit. Found some personal grooming items from prior tenant (used a-tips) Also, the sliding door to the balcony was broken and the furniture on the balcony was totally rusted out. Called the management company during our stay but never heard back.

Great location & Pool Area

Condo was nice; as pictured in listing for most part. Patio door was a bit hard to open and tv’s in all of the bedrooms would be nice but not a deal breaker. Pool area was large and never felt crowded. Lazy River was one of the best I’ve experienced.

Family Vacation

Amazing view of the beach and pool/lazy river. The resort was nice and we loved the amenities. Check-in/out was easy and the clerks were very nice/helpful if we needed anything. The pool was never crowded and we did not have to drive far for restaurants, attractions, or shopping. We loved the layout and space of the condo, however it was a few things that could have been better: -Mold was in the washer and bathrooms. I did reach out to property manager with photos and was told they would send housekeeping. After waiting for a few hours and no housekeeper or communication from property management, we had to go to Walmart to buy some products to clean. Not how we wanted to spend our afternoon. -The A/C kept going up to 76/77 even though we would change it to 72. It was hot especially at night! Not sure what was happening there. - Housekeeping needs to do a thorough cleaning. There was dust in a few places and we found hair in 2/3 beds. Some of the baking pans were dirty and put in the bottom cabinet. Overall, we enjoyed our vacation and made the best of it!

DO NOT STAY HERE

The property itself is absolutely amazing. The condo is beautiful BUT, the owner controls the AC remotely and, even w/a hear index of 102, the AC CANNOT be turned lower than 70 AND THE AC WAS CHANGED TO 79 every 15-20 minutes (even at night when sleeping. The condo was HOT! I contacted the front desk & management company 2X w/o luck. We had to buy three fans for the bedrooms & we’re still hot. Texas law required that all buildings have air conditioning that will cool to 20 degrees below the heat index. This property owner was breaking the law in Texas, and even though the management company said they would contact the owner and call me back, they didn’t call me back. I have no idea if they reached the owner or not. Regardless, the issue was not resolved. I had to contact the management company for more towels (6 bath towels for 6 people to use for 3 days), paper towels (1 roll provided), trash bags (1 very thin & tears easily bag provided), dishwasher soap (on checkout you are required to run the dishwasher) and washing machine pods (1 provided). The beds are listed as queen size. They all are full size and there is not a water slide. The first bedroom’s (toward the living room) bed loudly squeaked when anyone rolled over or moved (loud enough to hear in the other rooms). The bathroom sink had shaved hair in it. Again, the condo building was VERY nice and we enjoyed ourselves when not in the actual condo where we were not sweating and could sleep due to the heat.

Good location and accommodations

The property was clean and condo unit had the accommodations and room for our family of four. The location was just far enough from the busy commercial areas but a close enough drive for local restaurants. The building, pools, hot tubs and other amenities were well maintained and cleaned.

This condo was perfect for our trip to Galveston. Access to the beach, beautiful views and totally relaxing!! The location was just outside of the action which was perfect for us to decide what we wanted to do. If you are considering a trip to Galveston- this is a great place to stay

Very Nice Accommodations with Awesome Gulf View

Overall condo was clean and the beach decor throughout was very cool. Big balcony overlooking gorgeous pool. The amenities were above and beyond. Very impressed with their safety measures. Area around units are in a safe part of Galveston. There were a few minor issues like several bulbs needing replacement…but hey.. no place is perfect. Walmart & Kroger are close by. “Nest” A/C-Heat control was confusing and I never fully understood it.

High Tide

The view was amazing--absolutely wonderful. The condo overall was nice and very functional. A few suggestions: please provide better hand soap (the bar you provide is as big as a quarter). No one looked at the dishes--several were dirty (found in the cupboards). Bath mats (or at least a towel for the floor) would have been nice along with extra towels in general.
