Personal y habitación agradables
La habitación era amplia, silenciosa y muy luminosa. Nos sirvieron un desayuno completo incluso llegando a última hora cuando ya habían recogido. El personal es muy correcto.

Muy bien comunicado, gran servicio
Estuve tres días en el hotel Castel por viaje de negocios, y la ubicación es perfecta. Sin estar en el centro, está muy bien comunicado y realmente cerca de tram, la estación de trenes, autobuses, y de los shuttles desde el aeropuerto de Charleroi. El personal te atiende de forma excelente, y me encantó el restaurante. Si tienes problemas de movilidad, el acceso a las habitaciones tiene algún escalón a pesar de existir ascensor, así que puede ser problemático. Volvería a reservar en este hotel en caso de volver a Ghent.

Hotel solo bien, asignación habitaciones dudosa.
Hotel aceptable, personal muy atento y la atención del personal del restaurante del hotel. Por contra, hice una reserva de dos habitaciones y nos dan habitaciones interiores en plantas distintas. En cambio otra persona que reservó posteriormente en el mismo hotel, le asignan una habitación con vistas. Me ocurre siempre cuando reservo con Hoteles.com

Never again!!! I booked this hotel for another person. But he was charged him for the staying when he arrived. When I called to the Castel manager sad this guest did appear. But I have his check out receipt. They charged me twice. And till now they are saying than didn’t see my friend at hotel.

A hotel without airconditioning or ventilation
No airconditioning, no forced ventilation, extremely uncomfortable in heat wave but Flanders is often above 30°C in summer. Shower difficult to enter and leave because door obstructed by toilet. Two tiny bottles of liquid soap provided for two days. Not accessible: lift stops between floors, so stairs have to be negotiated, in darkness (automated lighting comes on late). Building is old and common areas look old, not recently refurbished. At that, pricing is not much lower than that of much better hotels.

The hotel is good for a quick trip if you are there for a brief visit. The breakfast was okay and the room was clean. Nothing special but not bad.

Simpel hotel. Perfect gelegen tov station en openbaar vervoer Vriendelijk personeel. Prima ontbijt. Rustig hotel. Redelijk staat van onderhoud. Schoon. Gladde vloer icm gesepareerde bedden maakt wel dat die makkelijk van elkaar wegglijden.
2 losse bedden die samen echt geen tweepersoonsbed vormen

Ontspannen in Gent
Schoon hotel, met prettig ingerichte kamer, zo te zien recent gerenoveerd. De waterkoker met kopjes en thee en koffie op de kamer bieden leuk extra comfort. Ook het restaurant bij het hotel was prettig. Lekkere maaltijden tegen gunstige prijs. Ook in directe omgeving genoeg horeca en winkeltjes.

The hotel is conveniently located directly across the street from the Railway Station. The managers are Nepali and the adjoining restaurant is lavishly decked out with Nepali decorations, which was a pleasant surprise and a nostalgia blast for me - since I have spent alot of time in Nepal, as well as in culturally Nepali regions of India. The town of Gent is really scenic, historic, and interesting and could certainly merit several days of exploration but I had only one day here, so I definitely would like to return again.

Ystävällinen palvelu ja myös hotellin yhteydessä oleva ravintola oli ihan hyvä. Hyvä sijainti, lähellä rautatieasemaa - ei isoa katua ihan huoneiden kohdalla, joten myös rauhallinen. Siistit huoneet. Miinuksena - ei ilmastointia ja hellejakson sattuessa juuri kohdalle oli aika tukalan kuumat huoneet.

Gedoe over de prijs, probeerde nogmaals touristenbelasting in rekening te brengen. Vriendelijke mevrouw aan de balie maakte een hoop goed.De manager serveerde zeer nors het ontbijt en bleef kijken terwijl we de enige gasten waren...wel wat genant. Men is niet gewend aan roerei en bacon, dat was niet goed klaargemaakt. Ontbijt zeer karig, beter ergens in de stad ontbijten...

Ihana loma!
Todella mukava, ystävällinen ja huomaavainen henkilökunta. Hyvä ja riittävä aamupala. Pojat kävivät saunassa, sanoivat sen olleen kuin uusi ja tosi siisti. Tiibet oli jonkin verran esillä ravintolan sisustuksessa. Ei huono 🙂 Öisin oli rauhallista. Muutama sääski väijyi huoneessa, kannattaa ottaa suoja-aineita mukaan jos on allerginen.

Helt ok hotell, nära tågstationen, typ 1 min promenad. Ca 30 min promenad till centrum (torget o de fina katedralerna), men spårvagn precis utanför hotellet.

Modernt, rent, inte världens bästa frukost
Ren och modern inredning, stort rum. Det stod en drickakyl mitt i rummet och värdeskåpet stod löst ovanpå (det borde sitta fastmonterat i väggen). Det var väl det enda att anmärka på om själva rummet. Lite lyhört. Centralstationen låg tvärs över torget så läget är det inget fel på. Väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Frukosten var lite sådär men kaffet var riktigt bra!

I got my personal property stolen by the staff, plain and simple. Sure, there’s a reasonable explanation: I was one of the many tourists visiting Belgian breweries. I bought souvenirs including bottles and glassware. The staff thought that I had stolen the glassware from the hotel’s bar. Now, the problem is that the staff handled the situation horribly. I was essentially accused of theft, got my property stolen and received nervous laughter for a compensation. With problems such as these the general price level of the hotel should be 10-20 € per night less. If no real service is included, the cost is too high.

Visit by employee in the middle of the night
I only booked this hotel as the whole city was sold out due to a conference. I didn't like the hotel and the doors couldn't be looked from inside. Late at night when I have fallen to sleep an employee came into the room when I was lying in the bed and I was screaming out loud so he apologized and left. Really bad experience and couldn't barely sleep the rest of the night. I strongly advice anyone to not stay at this hotel.

Hotel tegenover station, 10min naar centrum. Ontbijtruimte 'savonds een heerlijk restaurant. Vriendelijk personeel, geeft tips over ov en eten. Zeer toegankelijk Hotel, geen opdringerig personeel. Goede uitleg over parkeren.

Good base from which to explore lovely Ghent
Ghent is a lovely city & this hotel is a more than decent base from which to explore it. The hotel is quite small but benefits from an attached restaurant at which you can get a 5% guest discount. The restaurant is Indian fusion and really quite good, in my experience. There is also a small but well stocked supermarket a couple of doors away as well as other restaurants including an interesting & very reasonably priced Turkish-style place The hotel is just outside the main train station with buses & tram stops too. The trams being so close can make the front rooms of the hotel a little noisy but it's a small price to pay for the convenience of the location, in my opinion. Ask for a room at the back if you are a light sleeper! My room was very comfortable - lovely big bed - and spotlessly clean. It is an older property and a little tired in places but I think the cleanliness more than overcomes that. During my stay (over Easter), the front area outside the hotel was being dug up so access was not perfect. The hotel appologised for this, though. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

convenient hotel near Ghent Station
Small hotel ran by Nepalese near train station. Tram 1 brings you directly to the city centre. No parking in direct vicinity, but there is an underground carpark nearby, and else, hope for a spot in the streets around the area. Restaurant attached offers the strange combination of Nepalese, Spanish, Indian, and Mexican food. But it tasted well. Staircase is a bit old, but rooms and elevator are fine. Friendly personnel. Standard breakfast with good choice of teas. Good location if you come by car and want to avoid traffic jams to/from city centre. Or if you come by train. Note that it is adjecent to the station, so you will hear trains as from 5 AM, but normally you will sleep through that.
