Thank you for taking the time to write the review. Our rooms are of standard size having balconies. We clean our guest rooms daily provided you leave your key at the reception or with the room staff when you are not going to be there. This is stated in the information sheet placed in your room.

This review is absolutely false. Addressing the writer's comments individually: 1. It is clearly mentioned in hotels.com that our front desk opens at 8.00 am and we did open at that time as admitted by this very guest. Sometimes, we even open our reception after the closing time should the guest inform us in advance of his or her arrival. We never received any request of this sort from this one. So, we do not know which part of our reception timing he did not understand. 2. We are never short of water supply as our supply is always constant since we have our own spring well that has water all through the year. Therefore, the question of short supply cannot arise. 3. We are well known for high standard of hygeine and cleanliness as one can learn from our other reviews. No one would be able to live in the room if there was sewage and undoubtedly we would have received a strong reaction from any guest with complaints right upfront. None of this has happened. Just to add, ever since we opened the hotel we never even heard of a sewage problem as all the sewage goes in the tanks underground and not backwards, besides all the rooms are on higher floors. For this allegation to come to pass the laws of physics would need to be changed. 4. The guest said that he arrived late at night which he never did. The irony here is why would he want to return back to us after all that he has allegedly been through. Since he never returned in any way, shape or form the accusations of swearing and so on is absolutely baseless. We are rather struck by this unexpected cynical review made by this guest for reasons only best known to him. During his two days stay, we did not hear any complain or a request that was made regarding the room and the service. As this guest is self-contradicting himself in this review one can conclude that the complaints brought forth are well unfounded, and therefore untrue. We hope that our response will clear any doubts or suspicion that our future guests may have had conceded to about us. Edwin and the Family at Failaka.

Well to begin with, this review is completely false and untrue. Firsty, our rooms are comfortable for three adults. We have had many triple occupancy reservation for adults who have had no problems whatsoever. The reservation made by reviewer is 2 adults + 1 child. Secondly, we take a deposit at the time of check-in only to ensure that rooms are returned in the same condition that they were given. This requirement is clearly mentioned in the reservation copy held by the client. Therefore there is no question of suspicion. One would think the client would exercise a little common sense before complaining. Sadly that was not the case here. Thirdly, I can assure you that these guests visited our property during off season and there was no noise nor music cafe at that time. It is amazing that the guests when asked about their feedback all through their stay did not complain of it all! Fourthly, we take a lot of care in maintaining our property. We carry painting and other necessary maintenance work at the beginning of the season so that our clients have beautiful looking and clean rooms to stay comfotably in. These maintenance jobs cost a lot of money and being a budget property we do not pass these costs to our clients by inflating our room rates. Fifthly, the clients so badly damaged the wall with the luggage (the little invisble stain is an outrageous lie) that the prisinely painted wall was looking ugly and was a sight for sore eyes. Lastly, all we asked was the actual painting cost for labour which is about 300 rupees or 5 euros. I didn't even bother with the cost of paint. What followed was disgusting and abusive racist remarks thrown at me for no apparent reason (this is shameful that the client was European who are generally well known for their etiquette). What unfolded next was even more embarrassing: The client, upon mentioning the charges, went upstairs to the room with a sponge in one hand and began to clean the wall on bended knees. I was confused if I had to laugh or cry about the situation........but never mind I guess you know better where these kind of people actually belong. Our guests are our top most priority. Genuine reviews left by our patrons mentioned on this site and many others will testify to our level of commitment and service that we have towards our guests.
