Pretty villa with fabulous outside area
Beautiful villa with a fabulous outside area A car is needed but driving is not difficult the roads tend to be quiet Beautiful beaches and villages Ideally located approximately 40 minutes from the Airport, 6 minutes drive from Skala many restaurants and bars 3 minutes drive from Katelios lots if fish restaurants We walked to Kaminia Beach nice beachside restaurant The night sky is amazing with planets and stars

Excellent Family Holiday
This was a great Villa with Plenty of space for all the family. The Pool and views from the pool terrace were better than we expected and great for sitting out late into the evening. A car is definitely needed especially if you have young children. This was probably one of the best villas we have stayed at for a family holiday.

A little bit of paradise
Thank you so much for the most wonderful two weeks’ stay at beautiful Villa Valentina. We couldn’t have asked for more: stunning views of the sea and mountains, comfortable large beds and incredible air-con units in all bedrooms, powerful showers, huge clean and inviting pool, very clean and tidy throughout the Villa, equipped for everything you need. We read through our books so enjoyed the library of books on offer there and played some of the board games on the shelf too! Kefalonia is stunning with such a lovely climate- hot, but with a wonderful breeze which rolls down off the mountains. The location of the Villa was great to visit popular resorts such as Skala and Katelios for snorkelling, water sports, boat trips and tavernas, but also only a short distance from pretty old villages for a slice of homemade apple pie. We found having a car for the duration meant we could explore and truly get a taste of the island. We loved visiting Argostoli to see the turtles swimming in the bay on our way home to the airport. A lovely end to one of our favourite ever holidays!

Beautiful villa with beautiful views
Villa Valentina is a gorgeous villa set high above the sea with wonderful views over to Zakynthos. The villa is very spacious, both inside and out, with a lovely garden full of flowers and a lovely pool. I went with my daughter and her family and the villa was great for us all. I particularly liked the master bedroom (which I bagged!) with its lovely veranda surrounded by jasmine flowers. The villa was very well equipped and we had everything we needed. The surrounding area is lovely, with nearby Katelios having a nice beach with lots of tavernas and a good shop. Our favourite beach was Kaminia which was a very short drive away and is a fantastic sandy beach with a great taverna behind. To make the holiday perfect it would have been nice to be able to walk to the beach but with 2 little ones, this was not possible. Sharon was very helpful and responsive. Overall, we had a lovely time and would love to return.

Superb holiday. Great house and lovely pool. Comfortable beds and powerful showers. Amazing views. Beaches at Kamina and Skala both superb. Water incredibly warm. My choice would be: Breakfast at the Villa on the terrace or at Ammos beach bar at Skala. Service and food at Ammos was top notch. You get your beach umbrella and beds their too. Light lunch at Ammos too (great beach food - big choice). All drinks available. Nice juices / smoothies and all served to your location on the beach with v reasonable prices. After lunch at Kamina beach which is on the drive back to the Villa. Pool time and then Katelios for dinner (loads of choice and good food) or back to Skala. We liked Pikionas. Great service, great food and nice seafront location. That was a typical day for us. 4 adults and 2 children in our group and the accommodation was perfect in size. Could house 1/2 more easily. Pool and pool area is huge and surrounding area and gardens really well maintained. Sharon and a Roger do a grand job and communication is easy and instant if needed. Superb hosts. Loved this part of Kefalonia and will definitely return.

Peace and Tranquility
We have just returned from this lovely villa, and have enjoyed two weeks of peace and tranquility. The property itself is set in a very large plot with beautiful gardens and views that are stunning. With no immediate neighbours and yet only 5 minutes by car to Kateleios it has the best of both worlds. There were seven in our party including two teenagers but because of how the villa is set out everyone could enjoy their own space without feeling overcrowded. The beds are really comfortable, and were changed twice during our two week stay, an added bonus, along with clean towels and beach/pool towels. The pool is large with plenty of sun beds around and there are so many different seating areas around the villa that you can top up your tan or escape from the sun at different times of the day as the mood takes you. A nice barb-b-que and outside dining area (if you don’t want to drag yourself away from the villa), is just outside the lounge, we enjoyed breakfast here each morning and had several nice evenings enjoying al-fresco eating and just staring at the glorious views that await you. Kateleios is also lovely with a mini market and lots of restaurants to eat from, mostly situated on the waters edge, again fabulous views while enjoying your meal. The Lighthouse is good together with Blue Sea but our favourite was Cozy’s for the most delicious food, and so well presented and the friendliness of the staff. Skala is only 10 mins drive away with an array of restaurants and great water sports for the children, or boat hire if you wish to get to those undiscovered bays. Although we booked during the school holidays, we never felt anywhere in the area was crowded. We have been to the island three times in the last 30 years, Kefelonia was the first Greek island we visited and we fell in love with them. We have visited many but this island is one of our firm favourites, and this area and villa are the best we have stayed in on the island. Don’t rely on the pictures they don’t do it justice. A great villa with everything you need!
A spacious and well equipped villa with everything we needed during our stay. Ample wardrobe space in all bedrooms with attention to detail such as mirrors, hair dryers etc. and sockets were plentiful. For us the outside space was just as important as the inside space and we weren't disappointed! The pool area is enormous with the main feature being a huge pool, however the pool is not heated. There are plenty of seating areas around the pool both covered and uncovered including table, chairs, sun loungers and settees. There is a large dining table outside of the main living area as well as dining tables inside the villa. All in all we couldn't fault the facilities. Although the villa is pretty remote and isolated we felt very safe and secure. We would recommend a car because of the villas location however, some care is needed driving in and out of the drive which is on a bend in the road. Overall a great holiday and villa hence our rating of 5 out of 5

Thank you for your review. We listen to all our guests comments and take every action possible to provide customer needs. Please note that we provide a mirror so that it is very easy to see if there are any vehicles coming along. Additionally, whilst most guests staying at the villa do hire a car, we are still only a 20 minute walk to KATELIOS with its array of fine fish restaurants and bars. Also, Skala is only a 5 minute drive away and you can call for a taxi which is only 10 Euros. There is also a very good Greek café in the villa of Ratzakli which is located only 200 metres from the property which offers food, wine and drinks and are happy to cook for you. We look forward to seeing you again.

Very nice place
Its a great villa, with a huge terrace that got a great view as well (see pictures) Only important thing to mention is, you definitely need a (rental) car, as the villa is in the middle of nowhere if you re on foot

Thank you for your review and we are pleased you loved our villa. Although we recommend to guests to have a car, we are in fact only 200 metres from the village of Ratzakli, less than 1/2 mile to the resort of Katelios. We do have many guests who stay year on year that do not have a car. We can also deliver shopping if a list is provided. For those wishing to see the island we recommend a car or some guests take advantage of cyclin where we can arrange for cycles to be delivered. There are many walking routes that are beautiful from the villa and we are also easily accessible to Kaminia and Mounda beaches by foot.

Beautiful Villa, stunning view, good showers, comfy beds, good location
The villa is very private, not overlooked, very well equipped, the showers are powerful, beds very comfortable and villa is spacious. There are lots of shaded areas, A dining area just outside the lounge, a big shaded area near the pool with table and chairs, sofas and sun lounges when you want to get out of the sun, so no need to put the umbrellas up. There is also a nice quiet shaded area just outside the downstairs bedroom. The villa is located near Katelios which is beautiful and is about 5 minutes drive or you can walk it, (we did) took about 35 minutes and you can cut down to the beach and then walk along which cuts out a large chunk of the road. You need torches to come back, but safe enough and didn't get out of breath (looks worse in a car than it actually is). Skala is about 8/10 minutes drive and has lots of restaurants and more shops to browe. Beach wise, Katelios has a nice little beach, sandy, shallow, but best beach is Kaminia beach (about 5 minutes drive) which has a couple of laid back tavernas, and a nice sandy beach, very shallow warm water, so great for kids. Skala is shingle, and gets deep quickly. Lots of nice Taverna's in Katelios as well. The pool is big and lovely to swim in and there were lots of woggles/swim stuff in the garage, and cupboard (black door) outside. There were buckets and spades in the garage as well. We have been to Kefalonia a couple of times years ago but would recommend the area and Villa. 10 out of 10.

The property was everything advertised.
Property was Comfortable, Clean and well equipped. A beautiful Villa in perfect location for exploring Kefalonia. We have stayed in many Villas and this was certainly one of the Best. Secluded and unoverlooked and a beautiful pool which was ideal for our your grandchildren age 6 and 7. All very well organised. Perfect vacation would love to return.

Great location and fantastic villa
We stayed for two weeks. The villa is located walking distance to KATELIOS with all its fish restaurants, great beach and bars. A short drive to Skala which has all the usual tourist restaurants and a good High Street. Situated above Kaminia, which we think is the best beach on Kefalonia, soft and sandy and has nesting turtles. Will definitely return.

A very large villa that exceeded all expectations
Great location, above the turtle beach, great house with lots of places to eat. good barbecue and very comfortable beds. Clean, much more that a usual rental villa - it was a home from home. The children loved all the games and we could catch up on e-mails as well as it had high speed Wifi. We'll definitely be returning.

Beautiful, spacious villa with stunning views.
Villa Valentina enjoys a remote, high up location, with stunning views of the rugged mountains, sea and beach, yet it is just a few minutes drive away from local amenities, the pretty village Katelios and the much busier and touristy town of Scala. The villa is very spacious and very well presented and offers excellent facilities. A real feature is its outdoor space - a huge pool and outdoor area, with stunning views of the sea and Zakynthos Island. Outside are a variety of terraces, seating and dining areas, allowing everyone to really spread out. We particularly enjoyed sandy Kaminia beach a few minutes drive away, so quiet and peaceful and Katelios village close by in the evenings - great waterfront restaurants and bars. Pleasantly busy very friendly offering delicious fresh fish. We hired a motor boat from Katelios one day and explored the remote beaches and enjoyed a sea kayaking expedition in and out of caves from Argostoli. A memorable holiday made all the more special by having such a lovely villa to stay in. Would advise having a car.

Villa Valentina are English owners and always strive to improve the property and amenities to meet and exceed guests holiday experiences. The villa also offers hydrotherapy jets, a large pool, a great outdoor barbecue area, professional table tennis, satellite TV and Wifi and more. With so much to do on the island from horse-riding, water sports, boat hire, sailing, quad biking, off road 4 x 4 experiences, walking and other specialised activities, Kefalonia is still an island that has not been spoilt. A safe, family friendly island, it offers everything the holidaymaker would want and more which sees guests returning year on year.
