The reservation was made through the website knowing that I was staying at the hotel whose photos appear on the website. In practice, we stayed in the new wing that is almost detached from the original hotel. It's a shame that the subject was not specified in the order confirmation. We were disappointed.

The staff and food were excellent. Peaceful place just a couple miles from Salzburg and about 9 miles from Berchesgaden. Literally a 2 minute walk to the Untersberg cable car. Underground and above ground free parking. Am coming back in 2 weeks for another stay.

Lækkert stort værelse
Vi fik et værelse i et hus på den anden side af vejen, hvilket vi var lidt skuffede over, men hvilken overraskelse. Kæmpe værelse med balkon og lækkert stort badeværelse. Nærmest en suite med sofa og lænestole. Rigtig gode senge. Restauranten var vist ikke helt på toppen de dage var overnattede - specielt morgenmaden var lidt trist, og ingen havde vist tænkt COVID-19 ind i den buffet !!!

Super Aufenthalt!
Der Aufenthalt war wirklich sehr schön. Die Lage direkt am Untersberg sorgt für freude schon beim aufstehen. Das Personal war super freundlich, kompetent und wusste auch viel über die Umgebung. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig gedeckt und der Kaffee wurde frisch serviert. Einziges Manko waren die Holzpanele auf dem Balkon die mal qieder abgeschliffen werden müssten.

Het hotel ligt aan een druk kruispunt. We kregen een kamer in het gastenverblijf aan de overkant, welk heel netjes was. De accommodatie ligt ver van de bewoonde wereld dus een auto hebben een een must. Het personeel was niet vriendelijk en het eten in het restaurant niet lekker.

Albergo curatissimo e personale sempre disponibile. Ampia camera e parcheggio disponibile. Ottima colazione e anche la cena mi ha lasciato pienamente soddisfatto. L'albergo è a dieci minuti di auto da Salisburgo, ma volendo si può utilizzare anche l'autobus, con fermata vicinissima.

Very nice accommodations* (we were in the new building). Major downside NO AIR CONDITIONING. Luckily we were sightseeing during the day and it rained every afternoon to help cool things off.

Great hotel in village between Berchtesgaden and Salzburg. Easy bus into Salzburg. Beautiful.

Lovely place.
I really love this cosy hotel. It is beautifully located, a short bike ride from Salzburg. As a guest you can rent a bike for free. The hotel is nice and clean, rooms are comfy and the staff are nice. I love the breakfast. Wifi is good. I will definitely pick this hotel again for my job trips to that region.

Perfect location and excellent staff!! Just remember if you are driving in from Germany, you need to purchase a road tax vignette for your car before entering Austria.

Trivsamt
Hotellet är mycket trevligt i ett gatuhörn på landsbygd. Passar utmärkt för stilla friluftsliv men om man vill besöka tillbringa tiden i de inre delarna av Salzburg är en halvtimme med buss det man får ha i beaktan. Det bästa med hotellet var frukosten och närheten till Untersbergsban som tar en upp på en av alptopp - väl värt att besöka.

Loved Gasthof Schorn!
Staying in Gasthof Schorn for our first trip to Salzburg - we loved it! Loved the location, the place, the food and the service! Location - it's a bit outside the city which makes it very easy to get to by car. (There's a really good bus connection into the city) The scenery took our breaths away when we opened the curtain in the morning! Service - nice and very helpfull staff; went out of their way to prepare dinner for us after a fairly late arrival on the first day. Food - amazing spread at breakfast, all very tasty. Loved the place, will be very happy to go back to Salzburg and stay there again.

A gem between Salzburg and Berchtesgaden
An excellent choice for anyone visiting Salzburg or Berchtesgaden. Not a luxury hotel, but has clean, well appointed rooms with superb service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best it could be. Most staff spoke very good English, but those that didn’t made certain to immediately find someone to help. Breakfast was excellent and included in our room rate. We ate dinner at the restaurant and both of us enjoyed our meal. WiFi, also included in our room rate was generally good and reliable. The hotel has rooms in 2 separate buildings. The main building is the original hotel that houses the restaurant and bar. The other building just across the street has newer more spacious rooms and also has free above ground and under ground parking. Although the hotel is at a busy intersection, our room which faced one of the streets was quiet. The hotel is within 200 meters of bus stop 25 that serves central old town Salzburg. Several other busses also stop in the area. The Untersburgbahn cable car which was closed during our stay is also within 200 meters. The hotel sells the Salzburg Card at the same rate as online, but gives you physical card that can be used immediately rather than the voucher which must be validated in Salzburg. The hotel is also convenient to Berchtesgaden area attractions. We highly recommend Gasthof Schorn and will stay there again when we visit the area.
