Pros - It's right across the street from the beach and the views from the balcony are great. Staff were generaly friendly. Being able to hrab breakfast in the attached restaurant was convenient and it was pretty good. Cons - The room was dirty. The floor was covered in sand ans the headboard had something smeared all over it. The toilet seat needed to be replaced as it was grungy, dirty, and worn. The fixtures in the bathroom looked like they'd never been properly cleaned. The rusty ceiling tiles and duat above just gave the bathroom a gross feel.

Room was not ready upon arrival @3pm after calling day before to confirm we would be all set to do so. Reservation was switched after several minutes of trying to find another room. Did not receive the included breakfast as original listing stated. No parking available when returning at night and “valet” parked down the road in an overflow lot. Front desk staff was rude and not cordial at all. Would not stay there again.

Some staff weren’t very friendly but others were. We did not use any of the amenities or restaurant, so can’t rate that. Not sure why an additonal $60 is charged for amenities when you don’t use them. Also, had to pay for parking and valet, so retrieving car every time we went out was inconvenient.

Hampton Beach never disappoints. Have stayed over the years at many Boardwalk Hotels, would definitely return to the Ashworth, however noisy neighbors disturbed our evening. Sounded like they were moving furniture and banging around for hours.The app to download the key was frustrating, eventually picked up the key at reception. Looking forward to a return visit.

this hotel definitely has some history, although it was up-to-date you could definitely tell that it has been around for a while, but it does add to the feel of Hampton. Overall, the king room was perfect for two people, and the balcony was a nice touch.

The hotel itself was ok , the only thing we didn’t like was the moldy fruit we got from the breakfast place and it took a very long time just to get an English muffin

Excellent experience as far as room is concerned. Nice room with beautiful unobstructed ocean view. Clean and well maintained. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all pumps on the wall making it convenient and less messy. The hand soap and lotion at sink as well. Placement of bed made the ocean view amazing. Definitely a do-over. The restaurant was a little less exceptional. Being a party of 8 and a less than half full dining area, not splitting the bill because they were "slammed" was rather unacceptable. The food was delicious, although expect a long wait to receive once order placed. Service was ok.

This hotel is very noisy. We could hear all the noise from outside the hotel, a dog barking for hours in the room next to us, and people inside the hotel. We also experienced frequent bouts of the smell of cigarette and/or pot smoke in our room. I would not stay here again.

We admit, we guess we stay in some nicer properties more often than not. We expected this property to be a 3 out of 5 all day. BUT it was a 2 to 3 star rating for us. We have stayed at a lot of ocean side places but the volume of sand on the floors in the middle of winter…just told us they didn’t clean well. Add in hair in the shower and sink, shampoo instead of hand soap affixed to the wall and hand soap affixed to the shower. Plus an old cup in the bathroom still there. And it wasn’t great cleanliness wise. Rough shape bed, super noisy with every move and visible issues with the box spring. We also had a night table that could not be closed. The drawer opened on its own, and had to be turned completely around to stop it. The ease of check in and check out, the staff were fine and the property itself was fine. The balcony setup and views even in winter were lovely! If we had other options mid winter we would have selected another spot, but we were in town for a concert and needed somewhere.

The food was good in both restaurants located in the hotel The hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful. It was off season so many of the area attractions were closed but the beach and sunrise was beautiful.
