I was really impressed to receive a call the day of my visit to confirm our arrival time and give us directions. The SatNav doesn’t get you there...but there are signs at every junction to help. The B&B really is in the middle of nowhere, so is quiet and peaceful.
Our room was amazing, the farmhouse dates back, I would think, to the 16th century: the floor of our room was rather hilly! But the room was very nicely (and recently) decorated, and had a large ensuite bathroom.
I couldn’t fault the room, tea and coffee, excellent WiFi, TV and toiletries all provided. Twyford Farm pays attention to detail and offers everything you could need. It’s has so much character, with oak beams and original features, the photos online don’t do it justice.
There was a residents’ lounge and a boot room (great if you’re walking in the area) and breakfast was serviced in the residents’ dining room, overlooking a stunning view of the fields as forests. Breakfast was cooked to order.
This is traditional English farmhouse B& at it’s very best.
I’ve already recommended it to a relative, and I don’t definitely stay there again.
