Charming & characterful converted large house with a beautiful small central courtyard and yes it really does somehow have a South of France feel. Also small but charming is the welcome room off reception with a decent complementary tawny Port on offer, and on Hermanus’s occasional colder evenings, a log fire.

Bel établissement de charme , central .
Tres bon petit déjeuner dans le restaurant juste à côté de l’hotel , excellent emplacement dans la ville . Delicate attention des bouillottes dans le lit le soir ! Petit salon extrêmement cosy avec cheminée allumée et cherry offert . Personnel tres gentil et attentionné. Tres bonne adresse.

Noisy room!
This hotel is undoubtedly very beautiful. The restaurant deserves all the accolades it gets, as breakfast (which was included) was delicious and beautifully presented. My room was located in the old part of the hotel, and it was really very noisy. Thankfully the hotel provided ear plugs, which came in handy. The mattress also was not of the highest quality. Staff were very friendly and courteous. I will go back to Auberge Burgundy, but will make sure to book in the new part of the hotel.

Second time I have stayed here and it’s a really lovely place. I stayed in a poolside room which was light and airy, beautifully decorated. Charlotte Rhys toiletries which were an added bonus. Very central to everywhere in Hermanus. We didn’t need to use our car at all... walked to the shops, restaurants, along the beach path. Will definitely stay here again.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist perfekt. Sehr zentral, nur wenige Meter zum Klippenpfad. Im Gegensatz zu den meisten B&Bs in denen wir waren ist es modern und zurückhaltend möbliert, ohne viel Deko. Das zugehörige Frühstückscafe ist Instagram-schön, Frühstück war sehr lecker. Würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und auch mehrere Nächte bleiben.

Wenn man zentral übernachten möchte, ist die Lage ideal. Uns hat es nicht so gut gefallen, weil dort sehr viele Touristen unterwegs waren.

Best breakfast ever
One of the best breakfasts we ever had, amazing. Only the parking situation is not so comfortable but the help us a lot to handle it.

Just beautifully elegant and relaxing place to stay. Needs a plug closer to the mirror maybe and we had middle room which was huge and stunning overlooking the bay . The whole building was classy and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Our only problem was that my husband is six foot tall and the bed was short and small so we didn’t sleep as well as our other hotels etc. Bed could have been king size and still not compromised the room space . A beautiful guest house I would recommend room R that has twin beds that are much bigger, we would return without a second thought .

Thank you for your valued feedback and we will considder your request. As you mentioned the twin beds are a little larger and when we make it into a double bed we can swop it to make and extra length bed. Unfortunately our MIddle room/budget room has a standard sized double bed only.

Perfect position.
Great place to stay in Hermanus. Centrally situated in the hub of Hermanus. Close to the sea. Lots of restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Great helpful friendly staff. Hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable. The second time I have stayed here and I always feel comfortable.

Wir sind inzwischen schon Stammgäste, da die ( inzwischen auch noch renovierten ) Zimmer, das Gebäude sehr schön und gepflegt sind. Die Managerin kümmert sich vorbildlich um ihre Gäste.

Wunderschönes Hotel in bester Lage in Hermanus! Wenn man in dem Hotel ist, denkt man, dass man in Südfrankreich gelandet ist. Es ist unglaublich süss und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Direkt gegenüber kann man in der Saison Wale beobachten.Das Frühstück war auch sehr lecker und wir im Restaurant Burgundy auf der anderen Strassenseit serviert. Allgemein würden wir dieses Hotel jedem ans Herz legen und weiterempfehlen!

An amazing guest house with the most friendliest and accommodating team. From check in through to checking out, all of the team went over and above to ensure our stay was first class, from lovely touches in a gorgeous guest room and with fresh milk too! We would highly recommend staying here and will be back ourselves... we were sad to leave at the end of our trip as Hermanus is a fantastic area and the Whales... well you just have to visit, it’s mesmerising :) Thank you

Good, well placed for the town and amenities
Hermanus and the Auberge were both a very nice surprise. The Guest House is right at the heart of the town which makes it easy to take part in all the sights on offer. A good range of restaurants in Hermanus and great views across the bay at all times of day including from our room's balcony at the front of the property. An added bonus is no noisy seagulls.

Great 2 day stay
Very comfortable stay in a ground floor room on the little courtyard garden. Room was spacious and lovely and cool on a hot day. Perfect position to explore the town, restaurants and all the cliff path walks. Breakfasts at the Burgundy restaurant were very good. We would definitely stay there again.
