This house and cottage were fabulous! The house was great for 9 people and so cute. Fully stocked and everything you could want. The host was A on all fronts and so helpful. The location near the center of Hope Town and Vernon’s bakery/grocery was ideal and even better being so close to the lower public dock as we spent a lot of time shuttling over to Hope Town Marina where family was staying and wedding events were scheduled. Definitely recommend staying here. We’d love to come back! Photos online are accurate portrayals.

4 adults and 4 kids (ages 2-4) had an amazing stay in Hopetown. Very well appointed and nicely renovated. The 3 distinct porches are perfectly suited throughout the day (morning, daytime, evening) and create a wonderful base camp for all things Hopetown. Located within a rock’s throw of the Lower Public Dock for easy drop/pickup from the G&L Ferry from Marsh Harbor.

This is such a beautiful home perfect for a family! Great options for hanging out together and plenty of room to spread out! The owners are so kind snd we’re quick to answer our questions even before we were on island. We had a great time and would definitely rent this cute cottage again!

This home has been beautifully remodeled, is a short walk to an amazing beach, a short walk to the dock, and a short walk to town. The location could not be better, the host was so helpful and the home was perfect for our family vacation.

Beautiful home! Very close to all Hopetown has to offer and close to public dock, if needed. The plunge pool is a nice touch after a day of boating !! Very close to Vernon’s for awesome pies & bread & Capt Jacks for food & libations!! Say hi to Clurice for us!! Go see Shaka at the straw market shop (handmade baskets etc by her & taught to her by her grandmother)!!! Munchies has great food & say hi to Souvenir for us 😉

From the VRBO website, we were not surprised by the loveliness of the property. We also expected it to be on the smaller side. What we didn’t imagine was how each bedroom/bath could be so private in a smaller home! The layout is genius. The location could not have been better - a stone’s throw from the ferry dock plus such a walkable area. We experienced trouble with our water pressure, but Maxwell showed up within 30 minutes of our call and corrected the problem ASAP. We do so hope that we can visit again and most certainly, we plan to revisit this charming cottage!

The Clifford Sawyer House is an amazing property. My family loved it! It’s right by the lower docks and Vernon’s. The kids loved the little pool and the loft area. It’s a beautiful historic house that’s be remodeled. We will definitely rent this property again!

This was one of the best vacation rentals we have ever stayed at. The owners are great people and the house has as much charm as you can fit under one roof! Cant beat this location too. Will definitely be back soon

We enjoyed one of our most memorable vacations ever thanks for the incredible hospitality and the beautiful, charming, historic Clifford Sawyer home. My husband & I were joined by one of our older son's and his wife, as well as one of our college-aged son's and his long-time girlfriend. We had ample living space and beautifully appointed bedrooms, including one separate studio adjoining the property for our married son. It was so close to everything, and the stunning Atlantic Ocean is less than a 200 yards away and is a delight to listen to in the evening while sitting on the side covered porch. Can't recommend this home enough!!!

The house was great. Perfect location for our family, which has a big range of ages. Cozy with all of the amenities needed. Perfect “homemade” for our daily adventures. Elizabeth Scott was VERY responsive, and helpful.
