Perfect

This little place is great. Yes it’s older but perfect. Tons of room for a big family, very very clean. They allow pets which is a huge plus; they also have a fenced in yard & you can close the driveway gate so the dogs don’t get out. The view is absolutely beautiful. My only complaint was I messaged the rental property several times before our stay and they never got back with me.. that’s okay though. The dock is great and had a place for us to tie our boat to. We loved our staying here. It’s not far from the boat dock & easy to get to on the river.

Cute, Cozy & Well Stocked Cabin on the Lake

We truly enjoyed this gem of a stay. Beautiful location on the river and the porch and crows nest on the boat house were well enjoyed. The cabin was well stocked with necessities and we barely had to buy anything. Amenities were as pictured, would definitely stay here again. My family enjoyed as well and agrees with the review.

This property is quaint and cozy, like sleepovers at my Granmama’s. We thoroughly enjoyed the simpleness and how it took us back to the older days. We would stay again.

Charming cottage

Very cozy. Retro feel like going to stay at grandma’s house on the lake. The lake views were amazing. Wish we had had time to go fishing! Would stay again. The host was great. Communicated quickly and pleasantly.

Pros- beautiful views! Overhang on the porch was nice so we could still sit outside even when it was raining. Highlight LOTS of hummingbirds approached the feeders so close to us! Beds in bedrooms comfortable. Host was VERY responsive. Cons- it is older just be aware of that especially in terms of bathrooms & kitchen. But still met our needs. Note: grocery stores & restaurants are not just around the corner or down the street. Just need to plan accordingly

Home away from home vibes

This is a cute property and has been made to feel like home. 2 bathrooms 3 bedrooms 2 pull out couches-we did not use, a washer and dryer and a fully functioning kitchen,-no dishwasher-unless you count yourself as one. We loved our stay. Our Athens Alabama experience was amazing. This property is right on the shore of the Elk River. On the balcony at night you can hear the coyotes scream and in the early hours of the morning you can hear the turkey's gooble. Very beautiful and very cool. We loved it and will be back.

Beautiful view

We stayed at the property during Veterans Day weekend to celebrate our son’s 2nd birthday. Just us and my sisters. We really enjoyed the view of Elk river from every corner of the property. We had a little problem with a shower, and it was sorted and the property manager responded promptly. Overall it was a beautiful getaway for our family. Thank you

Great getaway on the river

Loved this house on the river so much. It was perfectly clean, comfortable beds, and very easy kitchen to use. We cooked all weekend and had no issues. The view is incredible and the bird watching was amazing. Will definitely stay here again!

Elk River stay

Had a great 'stay on the river. Found local places to eat within 20miles...Cafe 72 and Ro's in Athens. Swimming in the river was nice. Wish we had a boat! Very relaxing place to stay!

We all got sick

This property was in a really nice location and a good set up within the house, but we all became sick with two individuals getting pink eye the day after leaving the location. We had one family member who is allergic to cats who ended up having to leave due to his allergies. So either a cat regularly stays there or the last renters brought a cat and it was not properly cleaned upon them leaving. Overall it was a nice stay but the cleanliness of the property will guarantee we will never book this site again nor recommend it to anyone.
