We loved the close proximity to town but in a very peaceful setting! We stopped at the trout fishing place up the street several times and took advantage of the well-stocked kitchen and hot tub to relax and enjoy some easy meals at home and wind down after long hikes. The beds were very comfortable and the host was communicative to help us sort out getting connected to the wifi when we needed troubleshooting help - once we rebooted the router per her instructions we had no issues with wifi or cell service on multiple devices. Laundry worked great - important for a traveling family who prefers to pack light. Host requests for us upon leaving the property were minimal and reasonable. This property was the perfect home base for our trip!

Perfect Getaway

This was such a lovely place to stay! My friend and I sat by the fireplace and talked for hours. It is just the right distance from Indian Hot Springs. Close to town but still secluded. Everything was clean and adorable. The beds were SO comfortable. The hot tub was wonderful. We were not able to get over to the cottage by the river because of the snow but for the two of us the cabin was perfect.

Gem in the mountains

Our family of 6 had more than enough room during our week long stay. The cottage is very warm and inviting, and a great location! We enjoyed the hot tub and the second cabin the most, and my son really loved being able to fish from the bridge. The host went out of her way to make sure everything taken care of, and the little touches were very much appreciated!

Beautiful location

I booked this for a quick stay and it was perfect. We were close to restaurants and stores, but still felt like we were in our own world. The house was extremely warm, and the hot tub was so nice in the snow. The creekside cottage was nice. If we were there in warmer weather I think we would have spent a ton of time near the water. Overall great pick.

Nurture with Nature

The cabin was well equipped for rest, relaxation, and play; shared kitchen prep and family dining; adequate bathrooms to accommodate all guests; and star gazing to end the night. Morning coffee and hot chocolate at the cottage near the trout stream was a delight! S’mores and sitting around the fire pit was another perfect ending to a full day. The location near Idaho Springs and a short drive to Leadville made day trips to the hot springs, train ride and village shopping easy! We loved our stay and list this home away from home as first choice for the area, Thanks to our thoughtful host!

Fun Girls Weekend

We had a great long weekend in Idaho Springs. The town is adorable with lots of great restaurants and shops. Communication with Lindsey was great, and the house was very clean and really cute. Fully stocked kitchen, great bedrooms, fabulous hot tub. We never hung out in the creekside cottage because it was across the highway (really just a road but quite a bit of traffic and curves.) It was a bummer to have the cute little coffee bar over there because the idea of going across the street in the morning in our pajamas didn't sound too appealing. We didn't use the fire pit area because there were a ton of biting ants. The creek area was beautiful, there is even a cute little hammock, but we didn't go there simply because it just didn't seem practical. I bet we would've spent time there if we stayed longer, as we kept pretty busy hiking and seeing the area. The only issue we had was we saw a mouse in the kitchen. There was mouse poop all over the counter on our last night and then we saw it under the dishwasher. While critters around the premises was to be expected, it was pretty unnerving to have a mouse inside the kitchen, so some mitigation should be done to deal with that issue. And this is coming from 5 New York City folk who have dealt with mice more than you can imagine. :) That definitely ruined our last night at the house. Hope that was an unusual circumstance. Overall, really fun trip.

Wonderful little vottage

We absolutely loved our stay at this place! It sits just outside of town. We loved that it was pet friendly too. The cottage across the street was an added bonus and sat next to a beautiful little river. The kids did some gold panning and the hubby fished. Thank you for opening up this home to us and others. It's a true gem. Felt like home.

Quiet a peaceful

My 2 kids and I took a quick one night trip up to the mountains. The house was very clean and it was a very comfortable cozy stay. We never ventured over to the cottage. Lindsay the host was easy to work with and always responded promptly. We did not have cell service as explained in house description, but Wi-Fi worked well. The house is right off the highway but there was very light traffic so that wasn’t an issue. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner and it was cool looking out the window while prepping. Overall, this is a great getaway home if you want to get out of the city for some peace and quiet.

Perfect!

What a lovely property! It was perfect for the 5 of us. I loved waking up in the mountains with fresh snow. :) Coffee was provided to make that morning even more wonderful. The Host is wonderful as well. Really fun!
