“Stayed here overnight after visiting family in Derby , check in and out easy, friendly reception staff. Very clean accomodation , tea, coffee etc, bath with overhead shower, good thick towels the room was quiet cheap overnight at £43 pub/restaurant on site for breakfast and meals, mcdonalds 2 mins walk away. Good very clean comfortable good stay. ”

“Another great stay, although the bathroom in the room this time could have been cleaner. I will definitely be returning. ”

“The room was clean and tidy however the shower extractor wasn’t working also a none slip bath mat would be good and the heating could have been better and a small fridge would be good,,, the food in the restaurant was really good and friendly staff,,, all that said we would stay there again,, 4 out of 5 stars ”

“It was a great place to stay, having the pub next door was a great bonus. We were greeted with great politeness and everything explained. The room was massive, Queen size bed nice comfortable. The breakfast was great value for the price, full English, cereal tea/coffee, juice and plenty of toast. So all in all i would recommend. ”

“Room was spacious and looked like in the photos. They do have a big problem with damp but this only really affected the asthetics and didnt affect our stay. The room looks freshly decorated. ”

“We've stayed before - same problem as last time. It was cold and the heating was only put on after some persistence from us. The staff here do not have control of the heating so it is hard for them to respond to a reasonable request for warmth”

“Lovely large self contained chalet with 3 bedrooms. We took our dog with us so was perfect with lovely walks on the doorstep. She was made very welcome in the pub ”

“From Check in all the way through my one night stay i was nothing but inpressed. Service was exceptional and room was great with very comfy bed and powerful shower. I highly recommend.”

“Overall the Forest Lodge was lovely, the only down side was breakfast, nobody there, called out, waited over 10 minutes for chef to arrive, when breakfast came it was excellent”

“A very well appointed pub with accommodation. Good beers and food. Great cooked breakfast. I found it hard to first locate the entrance to the pub car park and, when i did, hard to park up. ”

“I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back.”
