If you are looking for mountain, remote and beautiful views away from hectic city and crowds this is the perfect place. The house is beautiful, the views spectacular and there are a lot of outdoor activities to do. We were a party of 10 for a graduation trip and the High School boys had plenty to do, stayed down stairs and allowed us quiet and privacy upstairs. It was perfect for us and we were not ready to leave 💕. My only feedback would be having to drag the trash to the main location was a bit inconvenient but we understand the importance of keeping trash away from houses due to bears so we made due. We did get to see a few bears playing in the woods. It was awesome. If your hesitating, don’t you won’t regret staying here!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Bear Paw cabin. We enjoy cooking while away and appreciated the well stocked kitchen. They had every kitchen tool imaginable. My children enjoyed the game room thoroughly, while the adults enjoyed the beautiful views and the new deck. It was a comfortable amount of space for 4 adults and 3 children (ages 7-14). They also left a generous amount of games, books, etc to choose from. You can tell they are very thoughtful hosts and concerned with offering great hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay, and the property was beautiful! Everything was as described and Tara and Brian were immediately responsive when needed. We would definitely stay at Bear Paw again!

Kiddos had a short fall break so we took advantage of the time frame. Wanted a place not too far from our home in Florida and where could enjoy the outdoors and see some fall foliage! Big Canoe is close enough to Atlanta and far enough from the heat of Florida. It was a perfect escape. Bear paw was a wonderful property with enough space for 3 families. Each room is equipped with its own bathroom- a PLUS! Also, half bath upstairs! Kitchen was stocked with the right amount of plateware, cutlery, glasses and cooking equipment. We never had an issue with needing something! Lots of fun games downstairs along with a karaoke machine which our “swifties” loved. It’s a little difficult to navigate the roads to the house given the layout of the mountain/ property, but once you get used to it, it’s just right and makes sense. The people in Big Canoe are very nice and welcoming. We enjoyed a fun band at the clubhouse one night. Lots of great activities in the area. Pumpkin patch nearby (Burt’s), BJ Reece’s Apple orchard and a sunflower field are a quick 20-25 min drive. We got some great food and photos with all the kids. We also found the beginning of the Appalachian trail at Amicalola falls about 25 min from the rental. Great Hike and picturesque falls. Would love to come back in the summer when the lakes of Big Canoe are in full swing. Boating, swimming, paddle boarding and a ROCK SLIDE. So cool! Fabulous place!

This was an amazing clean cabin. Tara was amazing and worked with us quickly when another cabin cancelled the evening before check in. The cabin was beautiful and the scenery amazing. Great cabin for families. Full downstairs was a great addition for the teens in our group. They loved the games and karaoke machine. Can't wait to stay again.

Our stay at Bear Paw could not have been any better. The home's cleanliness was second to none, and we were very impressed with the hospitable touches that provided an extraordinary experience--a well stocked kitchen, detergent pods, liquid hand soap, a spacious back deck, an entertaining game room for both kids and adults, an assortment of books, luxurious bed linens, and MORE! We could not be more pleased and intend to book Bear Paw again--maybe for a girls' trip next time. After all, the size and number of Bear Paw's bathrooms are quite impressive! Thank you again, Tara and Jason!

As advertised!! 3 couples of 40 something’s. Plenty of room. Beautiful view. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were really nice. Golf course was beautiful and a pontoon rental on the lake is highly recommended!! Would definitely stay there again. Expect tons of steep, winding roads but that’s part of it!!

My husband, friends and I had an absolute BLAST at your Beautiful cabin!! It was perfect and even better than the pictures!! It is well stocked with everything you think you need. Everything was clean and beautiful! Each room was spacious and the en suites were by far the best for our party of 9. The property manager was super responsive, thorough, accommodating and professional from the beginning to the end of our stay. This will be our annual cabin “home” going forward. Blessings until our next stay.

Beautiful property in stunning surroundings. So many things to do in the area that you don't really need to leave only perhaps to make a run to the supermarket minutes outside the gate. The property was clean, spacious and comfortable. Beautifully decorated and perfectly equipped. Our family of 6 enjoyed daily hikes and evenings either sitting by the fireplace or out on the deck. We stayed in and cooked most of our meals and had everything we needed. The winding roads were not bad to navigate and added to the beauty. The quiet and peaceful surroundings were very much welcomed.

The biggest downfall for us was the "resort" had very limited restaurant options - and the day we arrived, all of them were closed - so be mindful of that! The HOUSE itself - perfect!

This property was perfect for our 9 adults and 2 kids we had in our group. Parked the 5 cars of our group easily with a bit of shuffling when needed. Kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed for 6 nights of home cooked meals. Best part about this property was room size and number of bathrooms that were ALL great size. Ample bathroom space is always needed with a large group. Property is centrally located to major points of interests within big canoe. We did the beach club at some point every day. The grounds and amenities are beautiful and well kept in Big Canoe. Even in peak season none were ever too crowded. Honest areas for improvement- Home was clean and well appointed but I wouldn’t call it high end only due to bed quality of the downstairs beds that could use some mattress and less squeaky frame options for adult comfort. Main living room was open but small for a group of 11 causing out group to have to split between both living spaces for movie nights. We did quite a b unit laundry due to limited amount of towels. Overall we would visit this location at this special property again in a heart beat!
